Eden Advanced Pest Technologies

Eden Advanced Pest Technologies is a wonderful company. They are responsive to customer concerns and do their best to insure our home and property is free of rodents, wasps and ants. Our service person, Isaac Bader, calls before he comes and updates us on his service plan and strategies. He is a delight, always friendly, positive and professional. I have recommended Eden to a number of my friends, and when one of them signed up, Eden thanked me and generously credited my account for the referral. Frankly, it doesn’t get much better than that from a service company.

I’ve had a fantastic experience with Eden. I called them to deal with a yellow jacket infestation in our roof. Jonathan Greening came out and was incredibly professional and explained all the ins and outs. He was very low-​stress (even jovial) and promptly took care of the problem. Because of such a great customer experience with Jonathan, I signed up for their monthly service for a slight rat presence on our property. It’s only been a couple months, but it’s going well so far.

We’ve used this company since moving into our new home, after having the previous owner recommend it. Since our home has had some previous rodent problems we pay to have them visit on a regular basis and check/​maintain traps on our property. It’s always been fantastic. The service person who comes to our home, Ryan Wells, answers all our questions and concerns about rodents getting into crawlspaces, or our puppy getting into the rodent poison, or even other questions about moles and other potential issues that he isn’t even there to address. And he’s given us some great practical solutions that would solve our problems without involving having to pay Eden more money. Great and honest service.

I have used Eden (Jesse Huie) for about 10 years on my rental in Kitsap County and am more than happy with their service. Jesse always made a point to contact me if there were issues at the house since I am a landlord that lives out of town. Eden’s prices are competitive and I have never had an issue with billing or calls for additional services. I would highly recommend them and will certainly use them again.

I called Eden in an absolute panic, after seeing bugs in my home. I captured one little critter and wanted it identified. When I called Eden, the receptionist was kind and patient, asking me a variety of questions to figure out what the best next steps would be. She then set me up with Michelle, who came to the house the next day and quickly identified my captured specimen. She did not stop there, though. She looked through the entire house, unscrewing bed slats, and shining a flashlight into the crevices of furniture. She then explained our options, never once pressuring us to use Eden’s services or trying to frighten us into expensive treatments. Instead, Michelle was professional and extremely reassuring about our situation. I literally cried on her shoulder, which I know sounds weird but I was a bit freaked out by the problem. She spent a ridiculous amount of time in our home — and then when we asked her how much we owed her, she said «nothing.» Is that amazing or what?

I went on their web site to get a free quote, and it said $ 250 for the initial visit and an additional $ 85 after that. I wasn’t sure if the $ 85 was quarterly or yearly, so I called to confirm since these are great prices for the services I chose. When I called, the girl asked where I lived, I told her, and she said «oh actually it’s $ 95 a month. I don’t know why it didn’t give you that price.» I’m sorry, but I put my address in the system and it generated a quote based on that. So I would hope the system knows the price. It’s a major red flag to be quoted one thing and then told I’ll be charged an additional $ 10 every other month. If that’s how easy it is for them to mess up a simple price, then I rather not risk it with anything else.

This company is a racket. They quoted me one price then said it was going to be double because I have a two story house and apparently that’s not a standard house size? I approved the work since I was oversees and having a hard time finding a company to do the work. I found out when I returned after a few months that they did not seal the entry points and even left out a major point in their inspection. My basement and belongings were covered in rat feces and piss. Find a company you can trust and don’t throw away your money with this one!

I called Eden for a recommendation about how to handle a spider infestation at our recently purchased home. Cheryl was incredibly informative about the various options to rid spiders of our house and offered on the spot solutions for me to try prior to a consultation. If we decide to take further steps for our pest control we’ll definitely hire Eden.

First of all when I answered the call from them the lady said I forgot who I was calling. Then she told me they do not send someone to search for the culprit of bites. She said my only option was to pay $ 250 for a dog to come and sniff out possible bed bugs. (I have searched up and down and haven’t seen a single one.) She gave me a suggestion on finding them myself and said they would only send someone if I found a bug, emailed the picture, and they identified it from the picture. She made me feel like an idiot with the tone she used with me.
I called another exterminator and they are coming to search my apartment for half the price of the dog. They too offer the dog if they can’t find anything themselves. They also told me the search technique that Eden told me to do wouldn’t work. This person was also more friendly.

A few years ago, we lived in a condominium where a neighbor let bedbugs get out of control and spread to other units. It seemed like a hopeless problem after several exterminators had tried a «spray and pray» approach. Only Eden was able to eliminate them. Eden — and Jim Stiles in particular — came up with a thoughtful strategy based on how the pests likely behaved given the layout of the building. Their minimal use of chemicals was appreciated too. We called a couple times in the following months when we thought we saw signs of bugs again, and each time Jim came back out and inspected to reassure us. They really pulled us out of a despairing situation, and Jim deserves our thanks for that.

Like the reviewer below, I didn’t use this company for the actual fumigation service. I’m actually from Los Angeles, CA! Last Wednesday, I got bit or had a skin reaction to something. At first, I was sure they were from bed bugs so I tore my bed apart to check and became some what psychotic for the past week :(I found 2 bug shells/​casings. I came across EDEN’s website and saw an article saying that carpet beetle larvae can be mistaken with beg bugs. some ppl get a skin rx that looks like beg bug bites.
I immediately called EDEN and the customer rep told me to email a picture of the shells for their entomologist to identify. They replied back to me the same day with good news. carpet beetles larvae! I also had a local company identify them to be carpet beetles as well. I was so relieved!
Then come Monday, I had another company come and look at the larvae and he told me bed bugs, even took the shells back to the «office» to use the «microscope». I was horrified again! He then went on asking me how many rooms to treat? $ 600 per room. (i have 3 bedrooms). He also said the reason for him to say BB is this: «all insect shells are the same, we want to believe it’s bed bugs.» My immediate reaction was: WTF? R U F’ing kidding me? Well, I didn’t cuss at him, but i said it in my brain.
Well I emailed EDEN back again to ask if their entomologist is positive and I got a reply the day after. The rep that communicated with me named Kristin. She said the entomologist looked at the picture again and stands by his identification (carpet beetle larvae). very professional and kind customer service. I believe they were from the Olympia WA location based on the phone number.

Scheduled a appointment for my business yesterday at 12pm. No show. Rescheduled it for 4pm. No show. Rescheduled it for today at 10am. No show. And every time the technician gives me lame excuses.
Inacceptable. I will never do business with a company like this, there are enough professional companies out there to waste my time with people like them.

I didn’t actually use the services of this company, so I can’t give them a full 5 stars. However, even not using their services, I’m really happy with them!
I sent out emails to every pest control company in the greater Seattle area that gives any indication of being able to deal with bed bugs. The one hired by my apartment management (Stop Bugging Me Now) is incompetent, and I have to move as far away from this nightmare apartment as I can get, without taking these beasts with me.
Amy responded to my email with a voicemail about 12 hours later, explaining that they couldn’t fumigate a moving van for me, but she happily gave me the name and phone number of a company that can (with a guess as to a price range). Then she followed it up with an email. In both messages she sounded genuinely concerned that I find a resolution, even if they couldn’t be the ones to provide it. I appreciate her sincerity.
She didn’t have to do that. In fact, another company responded by simply saying, «No. We can’t help.» But she went above and beyond. It’s like A Miracle on 34^th Street: The Bed Bug Version.
There aren’t a lot of nice people when your apartment building gets infested. Finding one who is can really make your day.

Thought we had bed bugs after coming home from a trip. They came over, educated us, put some traps down, and said to call if we find anything. All for FREE. 3 weeks later, no bites, no bugs and now we know how to better avoid them so we actually don’t get an infestation. Awesome experience with this company.

Eden took care of a rat problem in our crawl space. They used another company Clean Crawl to repair the damage done in the crawl space. Both were excellent.
Back to Eden. The Techs are very friendly and efficient and thorough. We get monthly service with them for traps and bugs. They are very good with our pets often they would take a minute to play with our dog! The techs report activity with each visit with a written report and checks in personally when we are home.
