Description

Specialties

We’re a nanobrewery, producing craft beer right on site where customers can see the whole process, interact with our brewers and enjoy a pint with friends. Live music on weekends, Monday open mic night, Friday Trivia night, and evening weekday specials make this a place where every visit provides you a new, yet familiar and relaxing experience.

We offer a premier brewing course on a monthly basis, a mug club, some artisan foods to munch on, and a knowledgeable, friendly staff to banter with. Each month introduces at least one new seasonal beer to try and fall in love with, or enjoy our standby craft selections like the Hazelnut Harvest, Simmons Island Imperial Blonde or Single Track IPA.

History

Established in 2012.

Rustic Road Brewing Company is Kenosha’s «oldest operating brewery,» although certainly not the first in Kenosha’s long history of brewing and beer! We’ve snapped up a few of Kenosha’s historical monikers to use in our own beer lineup, like the «Simmons Island» Imperial Blonde, the «Southport» Wheat, and the «Accommodation» Amber.

Even our name, «Rustic Road,» refers to the Wisconsin Rustic Road program — dedicated to preserving the rural roads that help to define Wisconsin. These Rustic Roads bring adventurous travelers past beautiful pastoral scenery and sometimes places of historical significance.

Meet the Business Owner

Greg Y.

Business Owner

Greg dreamed of owning a brewery since he was 19 years old and began homebrewing in 1999. One evening around the campfire (after arguably one too many homebrews) he decided to turn dream into reality. In 2010, plans to open a nanobrewery in downtown Kenosha began in earnest as he began attending conferences, brewing seminars and business courses to get things started.

York remains an avid brewer, and enjoys backpacking and camping with his wife and two boys whenever time can be found.
