This place is probably the worst«Mexican» restaurant I’ve ever been to. As a fellow Mexican, I like my tacos cooked well and seasoned well. The meat on the menu tell you nothing besides that they offer chicken, beef, and pork. Why not list carne asada, tacos al pastor, pollo rostisado etc? The«pork» tacos I guess were supposed to be some sort of «al pastor» but honestly tasted like dried unseasoned meat. The beef, which I supposed are supposed to be «carne asada» had even less flavoring than the«pork» tacos. The beef & pork both tasted like they weren’t cooked well and unseasoned. The tortillas tasted dried despite the fact that use plenty of oil to heat them up. I should have none better not to order from them when I saw the crunchy taco shells, that alone should have been a warning sign. We returned the tacos after explaining to the lady that these were horrible, she didn’t say a word and provided a refund. We will never eat there again, the only reason why we even stopped there was because it was the only Mexican restaurant open at that hour.

Some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had; fresh ingredients prepared before your eyes. Food portions are large; I didn’t have a burrito but those I saw prepared were massive. Come hungry.

We were driving through Kennett at lunch time, so obviously tacos were a must, the question was where. I have tried Michoacana;s other location that sells ice cream, but had never tried their tacos. Decision made. Ordering tacos here should be familiar for anyone who has ever been to a Chipotle. You pick what you want and they make it in front of you. I tried a beef and a chicken soft taco and my fiancé had a burrito. The tacos were fresh and good and the burrito was massive and filling. All in all, an ok stop, but nothing more. The flavors weren’t anything exceptional, but they weren’t bad either. Everything was fresh and the place was clean.

We have eaten here often. Great fish tacos. Plenty of toppings. Guacamole is always fresh and very good.

Originally my boyfriend and I were going to head to Longwood Gardens to see the Christmas lights. They ended up being sold out for the night. The drive there took us a bit over 30 minutes so we decided to grab food. Checked Unilocal reviews and figured we’d check this place out. The way you order is similar to chipotle. The food however is WAY better! You can order SHRIMP on your burrito!!! They also had an amazing hot sauce called Valentina that I will be looking for on my next trip to the grocery store! We were not let down and had plenty left over for another meal. The service was friendly as well! Overall, outstanding!

Needed a quick bite for lunch. Two awesome tacos(chicken & pork) for $ 4.50 total. They had a nice little kick. Very fresh ingredients. Super quick and friendly service. I would definitely return to try other items on their menu.

Love the fresh authentic food!! The food is prepared to order right before your eyes by the very attentive staff. This is a small family run enterprise which does not compromise on quality! The small dining area is BYOB and no frills so you can have a great meal for a reasonable price! In the warmer months the family also runs a Mexican ice cream shop in town which is to die for!!!

Good and bad. And downright horrible. Service was an absolute zero for me. Walked in to be greeted by the back of the cashier/manager/owner or whatever she is. She was talking to the three children who were working there, who were all looking at me stand there waiting to order. After a good 30 seconds I broke out with a, «hi,» to which the elder woman turned around slowly and looked at me as if I had interrupted her. So I began to order the fish taco, traditional mild. The second I was finished saying fish taco she turned her back to me again. So I asked, «do you need me to lay now?» She snapped at me, «fish is ready in five minutes,» and turned right back around. What an a-hole. Seriously an a-hole Ok, so let’s get to the taco. Low quality fish, but it’s not breaded so that’s a big plus for me. The toppings added some good flavor. They finish it off with a «special sauce,» which seriously tasted like McDonald’s Special Sauce. I’ll probably skip it if any of my friends make me go here again. I had to try their ice cream, since it’s homemade. Tried the corn ice cream. Interesting taste. Not bad. The behavior of service professionals I encounter is very important to me. Rudeness is an absolute killer for me. They may not always be rude, but they were rude to me. And to the employees in this glorified dump, yes, I speak Spanish.

Seriously amazing food. We stumbled upon Michoacana Grill on our way to Longwood Gardens. So glad we took Unilocal users advice and checked this place out. I had their shrimp tacos with the works… oh my gosh SOOOO good. My husband had a shrimp quesadilla which he also enjoyed. Also, make sure you try their homemade ice cream, such a great treat to end your meal! YUM!

Legit Mexican fare! Fish and shrimp tacos are made to order from scratch. There is a container of pickled peppers and onions plopped on the counter. If you like spice(a lot of spice i.e.) ask for your taco to be topped with it. You’re welcome! The salsa verde is fabulous! All their food is fabulous! We were wondering why there were so many authentic/great Mexican places in little Kennet Square, PA. Recently found from a local friend that this is because of booming mushroom farming in the area! Well, lucky for us — we will happily take fresh, flavorful, authentic tacos over cold, bland, café food during trips to Longwood Gardens!

Food seems good. Service is horrible. It’s like they hate you before you can even order. I only ordered half of what I wanted because they seemed so burdened to serve me anything. Really disappointed because I was do excited to love this place.

I travel here just to have the fish tacos. Be prepared to wait while they cook the fresh fish on the stove. No frozen fish sticks served here. The store is clean and well kept. There is indoor seating and outside seating weather permitting.

Quick and easy! Michoacana is set up like Chipotle… walk up, order and its prepared right in front of you. The tomatoes in the pico de gallo are always perfectly ripe. Vibrantly red, oozing with flavor… I suggest you smother whatever is ordered, in the Pico! They recently added an indoor dining area, making it much more conducive to eating in! My standards are the fish tacos & the chicken bowl. They always give me a very generous portion of chicken and all the mix ins, making a $ 8.5 meal into lunch and dinner consistently. If you’re a fan of seafood, both the shrimp and fish are scrumptious. The fish is cooked as its ordered making it extra special and fresh! I order all my tacos«traditional» style… yum! There are also whole wheat tortilla and brown rice alternatives for the health conscious as well as many options for the vegetarians in the world! There are many, but I would rank Michoacana as one of the top Mexican restaurants in Kennett Square.

You know it’s good when the patron behind you is ordering in Spanish. Fresh food. Menu is varied but not overwhelming. Outdoor or indoor seating. No problems parking on a Monday at 6:30 p.m. We both had salad bowls. So much food we had leftovers. The only drawback was no bottled water on hand on an 80 degree day.

Great food! Mostly young somewhere unprofessional staff. Barely speak English, ask you the same question over and over again and then laugh and talk about you. It’s happened to me twice. I don’t take it personally because they’re young and ignorant but I could see how someone could get very offended!

I’m not sure what all the 5 stars are about but I’ve had better Mexican at other places. Their meat was well cooked and seasoned; it was a large burrito. They had odd seating, like a floor up. Nothing that made the place 5 star worthy. Sorry.

It’s official. I think I’m addicted. I’ve been here everyday for the past week, with my first time being the Thursday before. I’ve always been into tacos in general, but I never knew it could be THIS good. Combinations are endless and I feel as though there are so many things for me to try but it’s hard to stray from something you think is your favorite. I haven’t been disappointed with anything I’ve ordered so far: salad bowl with chicken; soft taco with steak; crunchy taco with chicken; and crunchy taco with pork. I have yet to try the fish tacos everyone raves about and believe I would enjoy the nachos, since I prefer crunchy food… which brings me to the reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars… I wish the salad bowl(which is HUGE, by the way) came in a taco bowl. I enjoy having some crunch with my food and really wish they started a taco bowl to hold the taco salad. or maybe I can just ask them to crush some crunchy tacos in there for me :) Anyway, they do the best they can with what they’ve got, trying to move the line quickly but some days the line moves slowly because customers are waiting on more pork, fish, chicken, etc… I haven’t sat and dined here but it looks small and slightly uncomfortable since it’s shoved off to the side. Besides that, great place with good food, moderate portions and I plan on visiting their homemade ice cream place soon!
