I love this place. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food is always good. I’ve been about ten times for eat in and take out and have never been disappointed. I love their antipasto salad.

Usually a great place to eat, but tonight was terrible. It was packed with only two waitstaff working so we sat for at least 15 minutes before we were acknowledged. Once we were and we ordered, the food was dropped off and we never saw the waitress again. Typically it’s not that big of a deal, but my wife’s food was terrible and she would have ordered something else. It got to a point where it no longer mattered, and with two kids, we just wanted to leave. Problem is, there wasn’t anyone to be found. We had to run down the waitress to get the bill. The only saving grace was when we paid, when asked«was everything OK» we had to be honest. The nice guy at the front desk insisted he take half off the bill which was above and beyond and very much appreciated. My wife is actually walking out the door now to go get something to eat by herself. Way to make a Friday night memorable.

Hidden in a strip mall but great place to eat. Pizza is very good but the Italian Wedding Soup is the best I have ever tasted!!!

Great casual pizza place, very good food for a casual place. Pizza is fantastic and the wings are great.

Standard, solid place for pizza, steaks and the basic red sauce ziti, chicken parm etc. Nothing too fancy here. Prices are good and food is good for what it is. Its what I term a «joint». No frills and you know what youre coming for.

Brandywine Polo club LOVES this pizza! We have ordered pizza twice now and both times it has been fresh and incredibly delicious. They’re quick too for pick up!!! Highly recommend it. Cannot say enough good things about the pizza!

Food was very good. We got the chicken parmesan and chicken cacciatore. Both came with a good salad and pasta. I got the cappelini and she got the spaghetti. The pasta was done well, and the chicken was perfect. The service was great, the waitress knew the menu, informed us about the specials, and was very attentive. They have actual wine glasses if you byob. It’s too bad the place seems like a plain pizzeria. They need to up the ambiance if they’re going to charge the price point they do. Again I thought the food was worth it, but it seemed a bit low rent. I will go back.

Nice place; stopped by for lunch with my wife. Had a calzone(was delicious! highly recommended) and eggplant parm sandwich(good) and meat ball sub(have had better). The service was extremely courteous; the place was clean. No complaints. I’d go back… for the calzone!

This is a small unassuming restaurant down in Kennett that makes a great pizza. We stopped in on Saturday afternoon and there was only one other table being served. The waitress was on the spot and took out drink and food orders. About 10 – 12 minutes later a large pepperoni pie and a turkey sub arrived. The dough was light and very fresh, also thin. Slices were perfect for folding. I did find the pizza a little on the greasy side, that came from the pepperoni. The cheese blend was good and so was the sauce. A great pie all around. I didn’t try any of the turkey sub, however my brothers wife said it was average. Barretta’s is also not only a pizza parlor, it’s a full service restaurant. The staff is friendly and attentive as well and I highly recommend the restaurant.

It was Friday Night Pizza Night and I thought I would give someone a new shot. Some reviews said Barretta’s would be a good choice. So I give them a call. Why is it that pizza places can’t answer the phone by saying«thanks for calling xyz»? It is always just the name and that person sounds soooooo excited to be working. Great attitude. So Barretta’s excels at that for sure. Besides making pizza, isn’t the #1 requirement is the ability to deliver pizza to your consumers? Yeah, well Barretta’s does not deliver. Huge turn off. It’s not like they are in the middle of a densely populated area and you can walk there to pick up your grub, they are in a rural town that grows a bazillion mushrooms and is not in walking distance of any housing community. If you are a nice Italian restaurant like Giordano’s, then I understand that you don’t need to deliver. So hire some freaking pizza delivery guys or gals and I will give you a try. Until then, fugeddaboutit. I called Enzo’s, they deliver and the pizza was pretty damn good. Check them out.
