The place is not open as it is posted! 8pm on Sundays — the best day for ice cream and closed at 745! I live less than a mile away and what a disappointment to walk up and find it closed!!! That’s fine, Dairy Queen can have my business.

Reid’s is a wonderful place to eat good food while enjoying the sunshine. I am always very excited when Reid’s is open! They are an outdoor stand, so they are only open in the summer. My favorite meal is a chicken sandwich with sauce, fries(with cheese for dipping), and a banana milkshake. They also serve Perry’s ice cream and soft serve! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. It’s all delicious, simple food. It’s a great place to bring the whole family. *Tip: they only take cash, no credit cards*

Here’s the problem with this joint — you can get a much better deal for virtually the EXACT same product down the street at DQ. This place is seasonal, thus they only have so many months to turn a profit — and they make it count in their prices. I will never respect a business owner who’s mentality is that his family’s success is more important than mine. That’s how I feel when I get a $ 5 milkshake that isnt even filled up all the way, in what most businesses would consider a small cup. I feel sorry for you folks who have more than one kid, and they have to share a small ice cream cone because all you had on you was a $ 20.

With it being summer, my taste buds go into overdrive for ice cream. I crave it everyday. I crave it for every meal. I could eat it for breakfast. So with a quick walk down the street, I’m at Reid’s. Serving Perry’s ice cream(who can go wrong with Perry’s– no it’s not Lake Effect or Sweet Jenny’s), but Perry’s does the trick just fine. I’ve had the ice cream here several times(chocolate with rainbow sprinkles– no judging– yes sprinkles, yes I’m in my 30’s, and yes it is a staple for all my ice creams). The service I have had has always been average. Not Disney World customer service, but I also wasn’t appalled at any rude remarks. I’ve seen the other reviews, and I’m not sure if the rudeness has been cut from the payroll, or I’m just lucky enough to pick their days off, but anyone who has waited on me has always been(from my best guess– I hate guessing ages) — teenage or college guys. My past few stops here I’ve switched it up and have been getting the Boston Cooler(mmm, Vernors), and it has been mighty tasty. But honestly, how can you really screw up ice cream? I mean really. I’ve never tried there savory food, and honestly I have no interest. With so many food options around the area, I’d stick to Reid’s for the ice cream, and I’m content with that. The outdoor seating area is nice and has plenty of tables. Bring cash. In this day and age, that is hard for me to do, and I have gone there on one occasion with debit card in hand, forgetting it is cash only. That is a gripe. I use my debit card for everything. My other gripe? Being closed on Sundays. Come on, Sundays are a perfect day to pack the family or friends in the car and head out for some ice cream! Oh well. I like Reid’s for the convenience of being at the end of my street.

It’s was ok. I had a cheeseburg and fries. The young man working there was so soft spoken I had to keep asking him what he said. The food was ok but overpriced. Looked clean and service was quick.

knowing that the original REIDS in lockport… is legendary… i decided to stop in at the one in Kenmore upon arriving… i waited to place my order… and i noticed when the eldery lady that ordered in front of me asked a simple question the cashier who was prolly 5o and had glasses(just so we know who she is) gave her a pretty crappy remark so as i proceeded to talk to this demonic evil force, i decided to ask her a simple question… just to test the temp of the water i ordered a chocolate shake… that came in a dirty cup… that i swear said TIPS scrawled off it… maybe they ran out of cups… i dont know… as i tested my shake… at this point i was going to be ALLIN… as we say… the shake was neither chocolate nor was it a shake… it was more… like a gloop ORGLOP… of mediocrity after telling MRSRUDE that i had concerns with the quality of the shake she… opened it and yelled to the poor girl working who was at least 7 years old at the time of this incident she went on to yell at the 3rd grader who made it… wtf is this… wtf… at this time the RUDELADYWHOWAS A BRUNETTEANDWASINHER50’S…and had glasses,(just in case you dont remember… WHOWEARETALKINGABOUT), was told by myself… that she wasnt really suitable for FRONTCOUNTERHELP//// I RECOMMENDREIDS…2…ONTRANSITRDINLOCKPORT… THISREIDS, IS rated R for rude i would only go here if you enjoy watching kids work in unsafe conditions… im sure theres… a garment shop in the back…
