We came here on a hot Saturday evening in June. It seemed like most people were in the cocktail bar area because the dining room was empty except us and another party. Both parties were seated in adjacent booths. Atmosphere: Since this is Kenmore along the 522, there’s really nothing to see out the window besides the road, so the windows are too high to see anything out of, or the booth seats are too low to see out the window. It was a bit sad that most of the place was empty. Food: We ordered the egg roll and four sushi rolls. I usually go with a spider roll, a tempura shrimp roll, an eel roll, and a salmon or tuna or California roll. This time I chose a salmon roll for the fourth roll. The egg roll appetizer came out first, and then the four sushi rolls were presented on one big plate. I think I prefer this over individual plates for each roll like how it is at Americanized places like Japonessa and Wasabi in downtown Seattle(don’t get me wrong, I like those places too!). Service: Since we were only one out of two parties in the dining room, service was pretty good. Prices: Decent for the basic sushi rolls that we enjoy, which went for between $ 5 and $ 7 each. The more decadent sushi rolls go for about $ 12 – 18 each. Payment: They take credit cards. They also do takeout, which we saw first thing upon entrance. Overall: I highly recommend this place. I think I’d go for takeout for any future visits.

Service was absolutely horrible. We ordered udon and sashimi(both very easy) and three tables which were seated after they took our ordered got their food before us. We had to ask for the miso soup after 20 min of nothing and the waitress never even came to tell us what was taking so long. The restaurant was not even close to being full. We finally got up and left after almost an hour of waiting and all they said was«sorry»… Never have I experienced such poor service in my life. Will not be going back

This place is a hidden gem! The wait staff was more than attentive and were very nice to talk too! I had the Cherry Blossom roll, the Geisha, and edemame. Plus some hot sake. Everything else on the menu looked amazing, and I could have fat kid statuses and ordered a few more rolls! I highly recommend this place and will be back next time I have a sushi craving.

Honestly, these guys don’t do anything wrong. Their range is huge(Thai, sushi, Chinese, even phở) and everything tastes good. We’re huge fans and order at least twice a month.

So far I haven’t had anything on the menu I don’t like. The garlic wings are absolutely amazing.

Nice work. Ordered take out. Got two specialty maki rolls. Ingredients seem fresh and taste good. Price was right on par. Food ready on time. Ill definitely be getting take away from here again. It’s nothing special, but good enough that I’ll choose this as my go to sushi joint for something priced right, simple, and fresh. Nice work!

Was in the area, and was craving sushi so I went to Unilocal, the pictures looked promising and helped when it was time to order. I took 1 star off because the place had a weird varnish-like smell and the floors, chairs & tables weren’t as clean as they should(little details that matter). Service was very good and their rolls are solid! We loved their volcano roll and the very popular cherry blossom. Miso soup was fresh and tasty and the drinks were good too. Pleasant surprise to have found this place. Once again, thank you Unilocal

Ordered sukiyaki, honey walnut prawns and chicken and green beans in oyster sauce. The sukiyaki and chicken and green beans were so salty… we could barely eat it even though we were soooo hungry. Honey walnut prawns were ok. Nothing special more Chinese restaurants make it better. I over heard people around us about how good sushi was so maybe sushi is the only thing you should get at this place.

I’m a huge sushi lover. The cherry blossom roll was great. I love ahi tuna, avocado and salmon so it was perfect. I got the salt & pepper prawns, it was okay. The tempura udon was good. Dashi(soup base) is most important for me! A! Spicy tuna roll was good as well and if u like mango try the geisha roll! Service is a bit slower but Overall, I’ll be back for the cherry blossom roll!

First time trying this place today. The sake(fresh salmon) is amazing. Holy crap it just melts in your mouth. The Hirame(white fish aka flounder) is good too. They’re serving size is worth the price! We(my bf and i) ordered the salmon sashimi, and the slices are larger than your average sushi bar. We ended up ordering another plate of salmon sashimi because it was so good. Also to note, maki basically means rolls. We ordered the signature maki, the«ikiiki» which is one of the most interesting combination of flavors we have ever eaten when it comes to sushi. The touch of mango adds just a hint of sweetness and it overflows in your mouth. Try it without soy sauce, and then try the next one with soy sauce, the flavors enhance. Definitely recommend this place!

Ordered some sushi and miso soup. I wasn’t really a fan of the miso soup; the flavor seemed off from what I’m used to. The tekka roll, tuna roll, and cherry blossom roll were all very good, and I liked the presentation of the cherry blossom roll. I did have some ordering issues going through Eat24, and I don’t know if they were on Eat24’s end or on the restaurant’s end. The restaurant had my food ready almost immediately, but the order status on Eat24’s website never updated. When I contacted Eat24 asking when the order would be ready, I never got a response. So I’m pretty sure the problem was on Eat24’s end. When I called the restaurant though, they were very helpful. I’d order from them again, but not through Unilocal

Family ate at restaurant for the first time, it was pretty good. For apps, had gyoza and salt/pepper prawns. Both good. You are able to select spice level for prawns. We ordered medium and it’s a nice kick. Had Dragon, California, and Tuna Crunchy rolls, Yellow Tail Udon noodles. All good size rolls and pieces. Service was good; however we were there @ 4:30 for late lunch/early dinner. Food came out at appropriate time and drinks were refilled timely. Nice local restaurant.

Stopped in for lunch, super impressed! Fish tasted fresh and smooth. Salmon skin handroll was perfectly crispy. Soft shell crab mango salad spring roll thing was so so good! I’d never had anything like it and I’d definitely get it again!

Good sushi and a nice selection of other Asian dishes. The staff/service could be a little more friendly, but if you have one of their amazing Long Island iced teas, you won’t even mind the standoffish waitstaff. :)

Good sushi, plus a variety of Asian dishes that provide a nice meal. We had a curry that was more like an Indian curry than Thai but it was very tasty. We also noticed lots of people ordering take-out, so I’m guessing they have a loyal take-out customer base. Service was slow, and they seemed to commit the«cardinal sin» of answering the phone for take-out, before they took the in-store customers’ orders. Don’t punish folks for coming in to eat. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, since there are several shops sharing the similar drive, but due to the take-out traffic, something pops up. Don’t give up.

This place was surprisingly good. It only have 3.5 stars on Unilocal and I don’t fully understand why. I didn’t read the reviews before going in since I wanted to experience the restaurant for what it is and not with any pre-conceived notion. We were actually at our favorite sushi restaurant Sushi Samurai but it was so packed and noisy that we decided to only order 1 sushi roll and 1 sashimi and decided to go eat somewhere else and that’s how we ended up in Ikiiki Sushi since we wanted more sushi and asian food. Now to Ikiiki, the ambiance is OK, not nice like Fuji Sushi but its not like a teriyaki restaurant either so just a regular restaurant. The owners?/ servers were either Japanese or Chinese so you already feel like you’ll be getting some authentic food. We ordered the gyoza as our appetizer and it was good in a way that it was meaty but the wrapper was a little thick I feel like. I ordered chicken katsu japanese curry since japanese cury is my favorite kind of curry and it was soooo good! My husband ordered the Sunshine roll and it was yummy! Would definitely order the curry and sushi again! For dessert, we had coconut tempura ice cream! The ice cream was so good! I judge a tempura ice cream with its batter and their batter was average so would I order it again? Perhaps. I’ve never been to a restaurant who has coconut tempura ice cream I would order that again. The best part about this restaurant is that price is moderate so its not too pricey not too cheap either. I hated how these obnoxious teenagers sat to a table next to us and they were soooo loud. I wanted to say something but I decided to enjoy my food instead. I can’t take it against the restaurant itself on what young teenage girls do, right?

Love the variety of specialty rolls. The fish tasted fresh, and the other non-sushi items we ordered were great as well. The outside is non-assuming, and I probably would have looked elsewhere had I not read the good reviews, and only been looking for take-out. Great to find a decent sushi place outside of the city.

This is a gem of a place in Kenmore! They have a great Asian menu including Chinese, Japanese and Thai. The sushi is also very good. I like the bar the best — friendly people and healthy pours.

Great service, great food. I came here for lunch the other day, as I was fiending for some good sushi, but I hadn’t found a good sushi place in Kenmore yet. I decided to give this place a try and was not disappointed. I ordered my food in advance, so as to pick it up when I arrived. However, when I got there, after a little bit, they informed me that they had no tempura and their alternative methods to making it failed. I appreciated that they tried to make my order despite not having the ingredients and they were very nice with their apology. They offered to make anything else on their list, so I picked two different things(Ikiki and Cherry Blossom). I felt bad because they were more expensive, but it turned out I had ordered the two cheapest things on their speciality roll list, so there was nothing else of similar price to order. They really accommodated me nicely for having to wait the extra time. They gave me free edamame(though I’m unsure if they do that for dine-in guests anyway) and water and kept me updated on my food. The wait was definitely worth it because maaaan, those rolls were so good. Super fresh tasting fish, the sauces on them were delicious, and the complimenting flavors all just worked so well together. No single flavor was too strong or too weak. Perfectly done sushi, in my book. While it is a tad on the expensive side for a daily lunch(each roll was $ 13 normally), I can definitely see myself going there every once in a while.

First of all, my alarm should have gone off when I saw Japanese and Chinese food mixed in. We ordered fried tofu and egg roles, that was pretty good. We then ordered the caterpillar role, it was ok. The fish looked a bit dry but We gave it a shot. That was, ok. Then for the main dish PADTHAI and Sigapore dish… That’s when it went downhill. The Pad Thai arrived lifeless. Dead. It looked like burnt rubber… But I tried it and let me tell you… It was pretty bad. I’m not one to return dishes. So, it just stayed on my plate and i am not one of those to leave my food. When I was asked if I wanted it to go, I said, «no, thank you.» My companion are most of his Singapore dish. Service was great. People were nice.

We would rate this 4 stars but I would deduct 2 because of bad service. This restaurant used to be our favorite. No doubt, they have the best selection of sushi. Nice restaurant setting, quiet and great music. We would go here once or twice every 2 weeks. It was a nice experience till last week. We waited an hour or more with our order because they have big party at the back room, and that’s not the only thing, we saw that they made a lot of to go orders leaving us sitting for an hour. We couldn’t help it, we have to leave the restaurant. What’s worse is that there’s not much couple/people eating, there’s probably 3 couples including us and that’s it. PROS 1. Great Sushi Selection 2. Great ambiance CONS 1. Try not to eat here when they have big parties and have a lot of to go orders 2. Pricey Appetizer 3. Service is S L O W Recommendations 1. Ikiiki Roll 2. Sunshine Roll

Service was horrifically slow, they never checked on us, and we had to hunt someone down for our check. On top of that, our crab wontons we ordered were never brought to our table. There were also screaming toddlers that nobody tried to quiet down. Had high hopes for this place, but there’s much better out there.

We were up in this part of town doing some house-hunting and decided to go here for dinner. The fish(we had nigiri and rolls) was very fresh, the rice was done well, and the presentation was nice. The house sake is a little on the«meh» side of the tracks, but it’s better than no sake. Service was not rushed, but your server wasn’t there to chat us up, just get the order and give it to the chef. Friendly, but not personable.

I like this place, it’s not amazing or fancy but not bad either for a casual meal. They got a wide variety of Asian food such as Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese. The service here is friendly but I think it could be better. The owner lady was laughing and talking pretty loud with her coworkers. Which I think it was a little unprofessional because people were dining. Also when she asked us if we were ready to order(we weren’t) and literally right after, another waitress came and asked the same question. The food is better than average compared to some Chinese restaurants, at least for the entrées. But I wish they would give you more rice than just a tiny little bowl. Sometimes I feel like they could use more sauce on their food cuz when I got Thai basil stir fry it tasted a little dry and powdery. I also tried their Mongolian beef and it was good, their fried ice creams are pretty good as well I recommend! Other than that, I think this place is good for a fast meal kind of thing and maybe good for groups too. Their floor bothers me though cuz you can really hear people’s footsteps haha. Would probably come back once awhile!

I had some time to sit down and enjoy your lunch by myself. I pulled up my Unilocal look and see what was nearby and was recommended. Japanese cuisine sounded good to me so I tried this location. I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere is delightful, the service is so good, and best of all — the food is delicious!

Ikiiki is average, and that’s about it. Reasonably priced but sadly not the greatest quality of food. What I do love is the plethora of options you have from the menu — sushi/chinese/thai… all at your disposal. Spicy tuna roll is delicious — and the only thing I’ll order. I wasn’t a huge fan of the other things I tried(gyoza, fried rice, sea turtle roll, etc). What was most disappointing was not the food, but the service. Very slow, lacking attention to their customers.
