Its directly across from the marina so I have a great view from my room. The owners are so nice and since I’m longterm here thats a giant plus. I like that there is a little spot of grass for my dog to run an play on at the back of the building. Its plenty roomy with a small sitting area with a loveseat and I’m within 200 yds of the boardwalk… lovin it!

My husband and I came here in December, it was only about $ 85, had a nice view of the marina filled with sailboats, it is close to the boardwalk, and the employees were nice. The room was ok, what you would expect from a motel — nothing amazing, nothing terrible, but it was clean. We came back to the area for my step son’s bday party and after an exhausting drive from Austin to Seabrook with a cranky 9 month old and birthday shenanigans for a 5 year old, we were looking forward to relaxing in a motel room before going to dinner. We were satisfied with our experience last time, so we returned. As it turns out, Passport is under new management. The room prices went up, the room we got before was now about $ 100. My husband opted for the king suite, which ended up being $ 150, since we wanted more room to set up a pack-n-play and we figured the room would be nicer. Initially, the employee didn’t right down the room number on our receipt and gave us a blank set of keys. We noticed after we got up the stairs a c had to haul everything back down to get the info. When we went to our room, we immediately noticed a torn up desk chair outside the room and the AC unit had totally fallen apart on the outside– pieces of plastic vent everywhere. We tried to get into the room, the lock was jacked up, my husband had to put all of his weight against the door to open it. When inside the room, we couldn’t get the door closed properly. The room wasn’t worth $ 150 — just another crappy motel room with a small couch, TV, king bed, and personal fridge. The AC unit on the inside looked ancient. My husband and I decided to grab our baby and luggage and ask for a refund. The employee offered to give us a different room. We decided to give the room a try. This room seemed a little larger, AC unit on the outside wasn’t falling apart, there was a desk and newish desk chair, a couch, a fridge, a newer AC, TV, king bed, and a dining room table and chairs — a far cry from the previous one, but still not worth $ 150 in my opinion. We are staying the night, but won’t be returning during our next trip to Seabrook. After a super stressful day, hauling our luggage and a cranky infant up and down flights of stairs wasn’t what we expected for $ 150. You think the employees would be decent enough to offer paying customers the nicer room *first* rather than as an alternative to the crappy room that didn’t even have an operable door. 2 stars — it’s not absolutely terrible, but it’s not worth the money, and the rooms need a bit of work.

Inexpensive. I paid $ 79 bucks per night for a Friday and Saturday. The mgr was very nice and helpful. Now that the positives are out of the way, this place is really a dive. Everything is worn, and it needs some major updates. The TV’s are about 15 years old. The tub and shower was filthy. Parking is very tight. The wifi code would not work. Do yourself a solid and stay next door at the new Holiday Inn, and don’t be a tightwad like me.

Inexpensive and close to the Boardwalk. With the positives out of the way, let me continue. Rooms are in poor repair. There is chipped paint and sloppy repairs where they bothered to repair. Old, scratched, cracked furniture. Curtains that seem to have been barely hanging on since the mid eighties. Unless you are right next to the office, you won’t be getting WiFi reception. The air conditioner is a window unit duct taped and card-boarded into a hole below the window. When we checked in, we were told the cable was out. 1 non-functioning lamp. And .5 rolls of toilet paper. The maid decided we really wanted to keep the trash-filled Whataburger bag. Don’t be tricked by the images on the site, the rooms are crappy.
