Pretty small shop near the Kemah Boardwalk. We got a pound of fudge — salted caramel, tiger butter(pb&vanilla mix), rocky road and maple bacon pecan varieties. As someone who adores fudge, this was right up my alley. It was dense, smooth, creamy and delicious. My faves were a toss up between salted caramel and tiger butter while Canadian hubs loved the maple bacon pecan. There were ample stray cats which I loved but others may not. Blink and you’ll miss it.

Lots of fantastic flavors to choose from. We ended up with Key Lime and Amaretto Swirl. Both were delicious. The fudge was smooth, not grainy. You can order it online… and I suggest you do!

*jjjggggggggirrrrrrrk* said the car tire, after I swerved over to a complete halt. Cruising along Bradford St towards the Kemah boardwalk ended abruptly, after I caught glimpse of the sign containing those 5 letters FUDGE. Relapsing from low sugar way, I plunge back into my sweet ways. Walking towards the back of the shopping center, I enter Eg-Quisite. There was an intoxicatingly good aroma in the air. I couldn’t figure out if it was something baking, something in the store or the smell of fudge. My nose couldn’t get enough. The owner explained it might’ve been the ham she cooked earlier. A brief scan of the store, there was all kinds of gifts. The candied jalapeños, yes jalapeños, caught my eye. With much reluctance, I grabbed a cracker, cream cheese, and a candied jalapeño. Never had anything like it, it had the jalapeño flavor but none of the heat and a subtle sweetness. To my surprise, this spread was delicious! On to the fudge… a sugartopia of assorted fudge flavors, I reigned in the eye candy ordering 2 flavors coconut almond fudge and vanilla pecan fudge. Coconut seems to be one of those flavors able to withstand chocolates strong flavor. Joy has a flavor it’s called fudge. With 20 years in Galveston, Eg-Quisite is doing several things right.
