This management company is ineffective and uninformed. My personal experiences included «non-​compliance» with the turf. The way the phrase their non-​compliance letter makes me so angry. «Someone has noticed and brought to our attention that there is a non-​compliance with your turf». There is visible weeds. The letter was sent out in February, yes, we had near freezing temperatures at the time. We have treated the lawn with chemicals in addition to manual uproot but there’s only so much we can do in cold weather. I would understand if they sent this out in the middle of May or any other month where people can be outside for an extended amount of time.
I decided to email them and said that a person can come out to my house and POINT OUT where the «non-​compliance exist» instead of sending useless letters and foreshadowing that they have the power to foreclose the house (which I still think is the biggest mistake in the real estate industry, giving HOA that power). The senior community manager promptly deflects the situation and states «The letter was for weeds in your turf. We mailed out close to 300 letters for yard maintenance issues. Please see the attached which may be helpful for you. Yards are to be maintained in a clean first class condition, per the declaration of your division. On the last inspection it was noted you still had weeds which could be clover, dandelions, broad leaf weeds, etc.»
Which doesn’t answer my question but we have yet received another letter after that.
Another incident made my neighbor (who was renting) leave! They sent her a warning requiring her to pick up the dog poop in her yard. She DID NOT OWN A DOG. She called them and made a big scene. They apologized and she moved out.
