They are great. Really bummed Dr. Atkinson is leaving. He was an awesome Doctor that actually sat and explained things.

Not really happy about the fact that I can’t make an appointment with pcp. I call and either they have nothing for a long time or I’m put on hold forever. How am I supposed to ever see my doctor that Tricare assigned me to?

Finding a good doctor is like a comfortable pair of shoes. Find a good one, and you have one for a set purpose in your life. But you’ll always need another pair of shoes for another purpose. One pair never fits the whole bill.
Dr Atkinson is a nice decent well rounded general practitioner. Dr Atkinson is a nice guy who will spend time with you explaining things. You can’t find that often in medical staff. It causes him to run behind a bit. Don’t come here for speedy in and out service. Do come here if you want to take the time to get to know him, he’ll get to know you, and he’ll talk a bit. He shares personal stories and anecdotes of what he has been through and seen in life medically.
My wife and daughters weren’t sure they liked him at first, for any number of reasons. Now that a few years have gone down the way and they’ve tried other docs, they are back with him because he will take the time to trouble shoot and work with you, trying various things, and doesn’t seem to usually have a set medical-​care-​by-​numbers approach like many docs do.
If you want a quiet efficient in and out doc, this isn’t your guy. If you want someone approachable who will take the time to talk with you, he’s your guy.
They do make some mistakes on occasion, staff is hit or miss, but I’ve never been upset with them. Normal decent good doctor trying to make a living in today’s world.

keller family healthcare is one of the best physician’s offices i have ever been to!!! i just recently moved to the keller/​roanoke, tx area and am a chronic pain patient that must see a dr every month for my pain medications to be refilled. united healthcare feccommended dr. brandon atkinson d.o. because i asked for a pcp that was a d.o., and in a particular age range. i called and explained my unique situation to the helpful and friendly front desk receptionist. they got me in within the time frame i needed which was soon!!! the staff is courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. dr. atkinson is one of the best dr.‘s i’ve seen, and i have seen a lot, trust me!
…and…they have a website!!! you can set up appts, get messages to the dr’s or nurses, and have questions answered by email, as well as by phone, and you even get an email confirmation for your appt!!!
…i am disabled and go to the dr’s a lot! i can’t say enough good things about dr. atkinson and the staff there.
you won’t be disappointed!!!

The staff is not the friendliest, & do not appear to be on the ball with scheduling. The doctor experience is good. Dr. Atkinson is laid back & straight forward; refreshing. Be careful with late appointments as the staff will be less than friendly & do all they can to rush you out of the office. They also have now initiated a pay us for missed appointments policy so be sure to call ahead if you need to cancel, or are running late.
