Dirty plates, silverware, and cups. Most of the food was prepared poorly, the cheddar bay biscuits were especially bad; dry, sweet, and not much flavor to speak of. The only redeeming part of this place: is the employees, they are very nice.

Food was ok. Server(Chris) was terrible. We were sitting right by the servers station and he was sitting there playing on his phone(and out drinks were all empty, table full of plates). Had to ask for refills. You should NEVER have to ask for a refill. Restaurant wasn’t really even busy. Tables weren’t kept clean. Plates just cleared. Every table was dirty.

This place was always so good, but today for lunch, they had near rotten produce out — lemons, carrots, and most of the other food wasn’t very good. They even had breakfast items out that looked like they were still there from breakfast. I haven’t eatten here in 6 months, and found it has really gone down hill. The waitress said today was very bad and apologized. She did find me a fresh lemon for my water.

Asked when we paid if we could get milk refills, and we’re told yes. When we asked waitress she said only one was allowed. I am pretty sure milk is a whole lot cheaper than steak. We asked and were given poor information and treated poorly. Not a good experience.

I like coming to golden corral whenever we visit Texas since it’s hard to find in CA. Lots of choices and taste great too. Also my kids love it^_^

«Yuck» is harsh. but it’s the only word to describe this restaurant. My 16 year old son wanted to try it for the dream of quantity. Everything he tried was poor quality. aka Gross. We will never go back, despite the very friendly service.

The food was alright and there’s a wide selection. Our server was nice and attentive. I liked the salad bar. I think everything looks cleaner during lunch hours. Anyway will come back for good American food. The Mexican and Asian selection seemed alittle old.

Food quality wasn’t very good. I wondered if the food was to health code temps. My wife wanted a cheese pizza, the guy tending to that area said he couldn’t make one. Talked to Mgr, and he was very helpful and tried to fix issue. He made a cheese pizza and even offered to make my wife a Sirloin. For his efforts I am pushing this reveiw to two stars. After all he looked like the hardest working employee in the place. Never got refilled. When I did get one I had to walk all the way to the counter to ask for it. Would I come back… probably not. After a family of 3 spends 45 bucks I would expect a better selection and more of quality. Yes, I know its Golden Corral, but you still have paying customers to take care of. Get it together.

They have a little bit of everything but nothing really great. I don’t think the food there is very healthy, seem customers average weight is over 300 lbs! Now, I will say that my kids love it but thats even more upsetting! Honestly this place might be worse than smoking(to your health)!

This is my daughters favorite eatery. Devan waited on us and was fantastic ! Attentive and funny. She made our night ! Hats off to her! The food was the standard fare. Worth the entry price.

Went in once after work for a late lunch, will not be returning. I’ve been to the one in Denton with no complaints about the food or service. First the restaurant has a funky chemical smell I assume they use to clean the carpets, not real appetizing. The cashiers and table attendants were friendly. I went to the salad bar first and on my trip to the hot foods I saw a roach crawling around the food pans. I promptly got a refund and left. If bugs are crawling around the pans on the outside makes me wonder what the sanitation conditions are in the back prep areas. Save your money, for the same price I went to panera bread and got a freshly made sandwich, soup, a cookie and iced coffee without seeing bugs or smelling carpet shampoo.

Well, since we have a picky two year old my husband and I thought it would be a good idea to go somewhere that we could have a variety of foods to try to see if she would take a particular interest in any certain foods. In theory, a buffet like Golden Corral would be a good place to try lots of different foods. As far as the restaurants cleanliness, it wasn’t too bad but the buffets could have been wiped down and the floors/tables/surfaces cleaned a little better. The buffet included food such as meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn, Chinese foods, potato bar, salad bar, steak, chicken(fried and baked), tacos, nachos, veggies, and their newest addition which was all you can eat buffalo wings. They also have a dessert bar that has cakes, cookies, cobblers, ice cream, candies, a chocolate fountain(which attracts kids and their germy hands), and cotton candy. The foods are bland, dry, and probably not rotated as often as they should be. The only thing my two year old would even try was the meatloaf. My husband and I stuck with making a huge salad from the salad bar which was pretty good and the most decent thing that we were able to find. He tried some of the sesame chicken and said it tasted dry and hard like it had been sitting out for awhile. I had some of the fried rice and could hardly even swallow it because it was so dry and hard. The rolls are awesome, especially with the honey butter spread. When I went for desserts I asked the lady in that area for a scoop of ice cream — she put it in the bowl and it was already halfway melted. I guess there freezer isn’t cold enough so the ice cream isn’t solid. YUCK! For us, dinner was a bust. I wouldn’t return just to have salad and rolls and it says a lot that my 2 year old wasn’t interested in even eating the bland mac and cheese. Kraft is better. Sorry Golden Corral — not a good choice for the true Foodie!

Nice variety of food. On one visit though they ran out of shrimp. Myself and another customer asked if they were going to put more shrimp out, they said it would be out in 5 mins. 10 mins later still no shrimp. The head chef came out and we spoke to him, he said he would bring it to our table. I was impressed by what he said until it NEVER came.

I love the variety of foods. They always have something that appeals to the entire family. The best part of my most recent visit though? They have cotton candy for desert now!

Dear Golden Corral, I love you for your variety in food. For your clean displays and tables. For your semi-friendly-but-friendlier-than-other-places staff. And most of all for being the number one spot for my family and I whenever I visit Texas. :) I will be back soon, I promise. :]

On a recent visit to Texas, I decided to try the Golden Corral Buffet that is continually advertising on TV, yet doesn’t exist in my locale. The décor was nice and homey, but I was immediately put on the defensive when, after navigating a circuit of rope dividers, I was asked what I wanted to drink, only to be charged extra for a soda. No, they did not warn you that drinks were extra, but since so many buffets have instituted this policy, it shouldn’t have been a surprise. The food was displayed nicely, but another star deducted for empty containers. Many of the items simply weren’t there, and during the 45 minutes I was there, they were not replenished. The food itself was just OK, while the only stand-out item I had was the BBQ chicken, smokey flavor and fall off the bone. The staff was friendly, but my «beverage server» seemed to spend most of her time talking to people I could only presume to be friends or regulars, since she seated herself at their table for a good amount of the time I was there. SO… Food — C+ Staff — C+ Atmosphere — B.
