Utah Division of Quality Disaster Cleanup

Two stars: one for the quick response to our situation (shower that flooded 3 floors of our house). The other star is for the nice work that was done ONCE it finally was finished (4 weeks of no response to our calls that we were back from being out of torn and were anxious to get our walls, carpet and ceiling back to normal…)
This company has a DISASTROUS way of organizing the «business» end of their operations. As mentioned before…, phone calls not returned. There were WAY too many «contact» people involved… one person for the emergency stuff, another for the tear out, another for carpet cleaning, another for the drywall/​paint… Very difficult to manage everyone I needed to contact to make arrangements to get the job done.
Their billing practices are a clear sign of behind the scenes disorganization. The job was completed in March (although the incident took place February 4). We received a check from our insurance company and waited for a bill from Quality Disaster Cleanup. No bill. No invoice… Nothing for 4 months. They then leave voicemails with my husband requesting payment right around the July 4^th holiday. We were busy and did not respond, thinking we would soon receive an invoice in the mail to look over and pay the amount owed. Again, no invoice, but another voicemail that my husband returned and he verbally requested an invoice (my thought is that common practice for ANY BUSINESS would be to send out an itemized bill of work performed for the amount due…). We immediately received the invoice via mail with a hand written post-​it note threatening that if they did not receive payment (but no solid date given) they would be forced to send it to collections.
I pay my bills. I have EXCELLENT credit. I do not have unpaid debt in collections. This threat was unfounded and unprofessional. This bill was paid immediately by me (as we had the money, just wanted to see a bill before we paid $ 2,000+). Over. Done. Will NEVER use them again.
And as for my insurance agent who recommended this company… I’m now looking for a new insurance agent too…
