My garage door took a dump. A big stinky one, like the whole door and springs. Kyle came out and gave us a bid. He was timely for the day (they had a truck break down and were late, but communicated that). He did not try to upsale us on the fancy door, quite the opposite, he showed us what looks and works best for the buck! I was happy to have him instead of some commission driven knob. Speaking of knobs, the competition wants $ 50 just to come out. Not these guys, FREE BID! We put down half on our door and will update once all the parts are installed.

Universal Garage Door Services is a great local company! We hired them to install the new Liftmaster My Q garage door motor. This thing is awesome and David took care of us. He had the new setup installed in under an hour and they came out right away. They helped me out with all of my questions and took the time to help me understand everything this new My Q motor can do. Highly recommend this company!

I called Universal Garage Doors after reading positive reviews on Google and here on Unilocal.I visited the website to get a little more information about their products and warranties and then called to schedule an appointment. We are not in need of a new door, springs or anything of that sort — we need a new opener. I briefly explained our need to the woman who answered the phone (that it was not for an actual new door). She said that they could get someone out to look at it. I then asked for her to confirm that they do free estimates (LIKE IT SAYS ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THEIR WEBSITE)…and she acted like I was crazy. She got very rude with me when I pointed out that it in fact says that on their website and she snapped back with «That’s only for ACTUAL door estimates. We aren’t going to send a truck out for an hour and not make any money on it.» Well, you sure aren’t because you won’t get my business! I called then AAA Garage Door Inc. They are getting someone out the same day and they aren’t going to charge me, to tell me how much they’re going to charge me.

I moved into a new home recently and noticed that the garage door hadn’t been serviced in over four years. Figuring it would be better to do some preventative maintenance then to have a problem come up later on, I called Universal Garage Door Services for some help. The owner David asked my phone call and we scheduled an appointment for a service technician to come out a few days later.
On the day of the appointment the service techs called in advance to let me know they were on the way and they arrived at the scheduled time. They were processional, introduced themselves when they arrived, and throughly explained the service they were going to perform. They inspected, cleaned and lubricated all of the garage door components and made sure everything was safe and in good working condition. The entire service call took about 30 minutes.
I was impressed with Universal Garage Door Services and would recommend them for your garage door services. They did a great job for me and my garage door is now running a little smoother and a little quieter then before. I also have the piece of mind of knowing that my door won’t quit on me anytime soon.

David arrived on time to our appointment and quickly corrected the issues that my garage door had. He replaced some blown out hardware and greased both my broken door and the one that was not having any issues. Scheduling the appointment was really quick and easy and my garage door is working perfectly again.

David was recommended to us, but boy was he a disappointment. He was supposed to tighten the screw so that the garage door goes back up automatically if something gets in the way. A simple fix, right? We never had a problem with the garage door until he came. He burned out the motor trying to «fix» the door. We called him that night, and he and his receptionist were jerks to us. His attempts at fixing the door he broke (but refused to acknowledge that he broke) got us no where. We had to use another company to replace the motor he broke. Dishonest and a total creep. Beware of this company.
