It appears that the owners have bailed and no one is left here but a skeleton crew. Friday at 5:30pm, one couple here… four employees including the cook. This place WAS good for the first couple of months but now it’s back on rookie restaurant status. If you are patient, you should get a good meal. If there are any people sitting and waiting. You might now know why…

WAs craving some sushi and wanted to check this place out. The sushi was Horrible. I mean Horrible. I love sushi. I love all kinds of sushi, but this stuff was bad. Honestly the worst I’ve had. Even the ginger had turned. Left more than half the rolls untouched. I felt nauseous the rest of the afternoon.

I Tried the Vegetable Tofu dish and was deliciousssss! I totally recommend it. Tofu is soft enough but crunchy if you can picture it —. Enough for two, but I devoured the whole thing myself.

Went there and tried a little bit of everything. Had the miso soup(taste weird). Sushi was okay but I’m a little afraid how old the fish is cuz the place seems so dead. Curry noodles was good. Edamame was okay. Probably would never go back because soon as I got home, I had a terrible stomach flu.

Really wanted to try it. Drove all the way out here and they are closed. How are you renovating your kitchen when you still have a grand opening banner up??? Disappointed. Update: Finally ate here today. Was even more disappointed. Lunch special comes with egg roll OR soup, while most places give both. Sesame chicken was bad. I don’t like to have to use a knife to eat Chinese food, but the chunks of chicken were so big I had to cut them in thirds. Sauce was the standard stuff you get everywhere. And NO sesame seeds on top. Isn’t that the point of the dish??? Fried rice was way to dry, probably a day old, and had no egg, peas, or carrots. I know that is pretty standard, but is it too hard or cost prohibitive? Hot and sour soup was missing salt and had very little taste. Couldn’t really detect and vinegar or white pepper which really make the soup what it is. Also lots of egg, but only one bamboo shoot and one small piece of tofu. I also ordered the crab Rangoon. Horrible. Filling was loose rather than fluffy and tasted rancid. The wonton wrappers were hard and smooth rather than bubbly and crispy. I can only assume they were probably made weeks in advance and became soggy before they were fried. I could not eat them. Will definitely never go back. All of the pictures are from the same person(owner?) as well as one of the«not suggested» reviews. All the good reviews must be from friends and family. It’s a shame. The place looks great inside, but the food is not good.

Disappointed due to the fact they’re closed for kitchen renovations. Also, drove out of our way to discover they’re closed.

Love the food, I’m sure im going to become a regular here for two main reasons, the lunch specials that last till 3 I believe and the staff was awesome and nice, even talked to the sushi chef about what to try next time and what he was making and this was during a busy lunch time and I just found out they deliver as well, so they get a high five and 5 stars from me, the décor was nice but I like to order and go and they made my sushi fresh and quick

Great new place. The décor is modern chic. L24 lunch special is great. The spice is not hot spicy, but flavorful. Will definitely come here again.

I have come here twice now and am more impressed with the food and service than the first time we came and love it. I love their corn and chicken soup and their Lo Mein is very good, not heavy on the tummy like it’s filled with yhe stereotypical msg in chinese good. Their sushi and sashimi are wonderful. I am happy I have a beautiful place in our area to eat. I have compare L&L with the sushi places in the trendy part of Houston. The staff is as helpful and smiling as the other reviewers say. This is a hidden gem that should be known!

We just wondered in on a whim. We ordered wonton and hot and sour soups along with an order of pan fried dumplings. All were very good. For the entrée I got house combo fried rice. My husband got madness rolls. The rice was terrific. I am a bit of a fried rice snob. This is my new local favorite. The madness rolls have 8 to a plate. He says they were good and the sashimi was very fresh. We had our 9 month old with us who happened to be a little grumpy when we tried to put her in the highchair. The two very nice waitresses on duty made every effort to make her smile. It worked. The interior was bright and very clean, including the bathrooms. We will be putting this restaurant into our rotation of regular places to eat in the area.
