I’ve only been here a couple of times for H&M and Bath & Body works. This mall wasn’t bad but I noticed the stores are always moving around…

The stores are overly priced and the quality of the items sold are not too good. There are some stores that do have good quality items but alot of the other stores are outlets and some off brand items. The one thing I noticed as I walked through out the mall was how dirty and littered it was. I did not notice any cleaning staff and if may be because of the mall is so big but I walked around it twice and still none. Overall for the hour drive I took to get there it was not worth it.

This was my very first time in this mall, it was so many stores that I didn’t have enough chance to visit them all. This mall takes 2 to 3 days to complete all your shopping. Love those little ponies and animals that they rent out for you to ride and park outside the stores, throughout the mall, which creates laziness on my end.
Very spacious, with plenty of choices, and plenty of sports stores which I love. Parking area is huge of course, it is a mall. Didn’t see much security, but didn’t think it was needed.
Food court selection was excellent, and store employees were great. Even though I am not a mall person, I look forward to returning to shop here and try the Segway racetrack.

The black mold that lines the service corridors is disgusting. The general manager of the mall is mediocre at best. The people the mall attracts is not what it was 10 years ago. I used to marvel at how upbeat and «cool» the mall was. It was a great place to hang out and watch movies, with the occasional shopping. Now all it has is hoodlums and run down stores trying to make the exorbitant rent Simon charges. Also, the fact they are now open 365 days a year is down right shameful. Have some decency and if stores are forced to be open, then the management office needs to be open too.

I don’t like to shop and am relatively new to mall-​shopping. I use to go as a kid but as an adult I avoided them as I hate crowds and the idea of having to rummage through a bunch of different stores to find what I need is just not that appealing. Then I found the segway park and everything rolled from there! I discovered the movie theater with it’s cool soda fountain machine and comfy seating. I found the Nike Outlet with it’s reasonably priced tennis shoes (well at least the ones on clearance). Then the rock climbing wall and book store and mini-​amusement park, and the original cookie company and BAM! I was hooked! I’m sure this place gets crowded around the Holidays which I will avoid but every time we’ve gone this summer, it’s been an sparse crowd. I’ve yet to even venture through the entire mall yet but am looking forward to seeing a little bit more every time we go.

Love going on a shopping spree in this mall! It had a lot of nice stores that I don’t have at my local mall. I don’t really like the amount of people however the mall can’t control who comes or not. As far as that I love going here and love that there’s stuff my little brother and niece can do like ride the roller animals around!

Ever since this mall opened in 1999, its been popular with the teens. I remember hanging out at Katy Mills as a teenager in the early 2000s, and even then the mall’s popularity seemed to have taken a downward turn.
The mall has definitely evolved over the years, though it has always been eclectic. I remember when it first opened up it was a weird mishmash of large discount retail stores (i.e. Burlington), large specialty stores (Bass Pro Shop, etc.), and cheesy gift shops. Before you could turn to
to find every weird little knick knack you could ever want, you’d have to come to a place like Katy Mills to find it.
Katy Mills doesn’t have your standard mall anchor stores like Macy’s or JC Penny, which is a nice change of pace. Over the years the strange little tchotchke stores have been replaced by all kinds of outlets– the Gap outlet, Lane Bryant outlet, Bath and Body Works outlet, Saks Off 5^th, etc. Katy Mills is effectively an outlet mall, which makes it a good place to visit if you’re in the mood to dig through racks of stuff to find a good deal. The food court is pathetically small for a mall of its size and only has a couple of recognizable chains.
The interior of the mall has aged very badly and looks like a run-​down amusement park. The older malls in Houston– like Memorial City and even Willowbrook– seem more up-​to-​date than Katy Mills despite being decades older. Katy Mills is an okay place to visit for shopping, especially if you’re tired of the same-​old, same-​old stores you see in most other malls, or if you’re in the mood to go outlet shopping but don’t want to deal with the heat of the outdoor outlet mall on 290. Otherwise, its not worth a visit.

Wow, this mall really has improved since I moved into the area a few years back. They have great new shops, more entertainment areas, more rest areas, and did I mention the awesome selection of stores? There’s a great movie theater at the back of the mall, even my new favorite drink place… smoothie king! Kudos, Katy Mills Mall for keeping things fresh and interesting!

Ehh. I’ve seen much better malls. While this isn’t at all comparable to the Galleria in Houston, it is very similar to the Ontario Mills in California. BUT, the Ontario Mills is much cleaner and has better stores and a better overall feel. This mall needs to be gutted and redone inch by inch. It feels very old and doesn’t give that «let’s get some shopping done» vibe. I came here on the Saturday of tax free weekend at 11am and the mall was pretty empty but was packed when I left at 5pm.
My favorite store here was probably the Nike Factory and that’s about it.
The food court doesn’t have many options but Great Wraps was tasty!
Oh, try not to stop into the restrooms by the food court. I swear that public school restrooms are a upgrade from that. LOL.

Mall’s quality has much increased over a few years.
I’ve lived in the Katy area for around 14 years, and have been going to this mall since it was built. Quite a few years back (I’m not sure whether it was a change in management or something else) the mall took a turn for the worse. Many of the stores closed, the mall was often dirty, gangs were seen sometimes, etc. But in about the last 3 years, the mall’s quality has increased greatly. More designer stores have opened (H&M, Kate Spade, etc) which usually were only found in the Memorial City Mall several miles away down the Katy Freeway. And the selection to eat has increased in quality as well with Subway, new pizza places, and many food stands. On top of that, many recreational places have opened. But, this mall still has its downs, the bathrooms are filthy, the cleanliness subpar, and the quality of the stores that are opened can still be improved.

This place is a mess of a mall. I would save the travel and go to either memorial city or the Galleria.
Pros: has a lot of good stores with sales.
Cons: the food court is horrible, bathrooms suck and the overall appearance is annoying.

I want to give the Mills more stars. I love the Mills.
Pros
1. Books A Million: Get their frequent card and enjoy their discount on books. Yes, I still buy physical books. I’m a dinosaur.
2. Claire’s: I love to buy simple things like hairbands, holiday earrings (Halloween, Christmas, Valentines, St. Patrick’s, July 4^th) and it’s great for costume accessories (eyelashes, long gloves, feather boas)
3. Marshalls: shoe department has good size selection
4. Ross Dress For Less: housewares (picture frames, lunch bags and containers).
5. Bed Bath and Beyond: specialty trash bags for Simply Human trash cans, Tervis tumblers.
6. Bath and Body Works: clearance items on body sprays, lotions, gels, hand sanitizers.
7. Teavana: accepts your Starbucks Gold Card.
Cons:
1. Food court options are limited. There is a Teavana, Smoothie King but nothing really good to eat. If you’re not into fast food. Sorry Charlie.
2. Limited selection in trendy clothes and fashion.
3. I wish Neiman Off 5^th had a wider selection of women’s clothes.
4. I wish there was a Nordstrom Rack, like at Bunker Hill.
If only there was an Apple store and maybe a Microbrewery/​Restaurant, I’d throw in an extra star and a half.

A standard Simon mall. Katy Mills mall is a very large, oval-​shaped mall with many entrances and it is all connected on the inside. It is not a lifestyle mall like La Centerra. I have many times entered in the wrong zone and had to use the map each time. The food court is centered in the mall and includes a rock climbing wall, carousel, and other games for children. Zones do not contain related stores, so it can be confusing to navigate.
During my last visit, I visited Subway and AMC theater. The theater was terrible in that lights and previews never came on. So, since I reported it to staff, I got a refund. I will not return to AMC.
Depending on the time and day of your visit, you will see lots of children, moms with children, and teens hanging around. There is a kids play zone outside of the AMC and Tilt Studio. If you don’t like to hear screaming children, avoid this area.
The mall has an electric train that travels around half of the mall, but I am unsure of pricing.
One unique thing about the mall is its events. During Halloween, there is a trick-​or-​treat around the mall that many stores participate in. As a new resident, it was refreshing to have a one-​stop-​shop for Halloween.

Honestly, the best place to tire the kids out. Just walk around the whole mall. Workout is great. I just want to say though, wear comfortable shoes, unless you are going in and out.
Great deals, but be on the lookout, because it’s an outlet mall.

What can I say about Katy Mills mall aside from wear comfortable shoes!
I am sure we have all been to this mall at one point or another! But an advantage I feel this mall is that it’s a one-​stop shop for me!
Shops range from clothing to electronics to books. You can find almost anything you are looking for here. The reason I say almost is because one must keep in mind that it is an outlet mall. The latest and greatest in high fashion or name brands may not be found here, but one can still find great buys and deals here. I love the fact they have a Lane Bryant Outlet (my favorite) and have added a Coach outlet and Nike outlet. Another great addition to this location is the Plus size section in Forever 21. Although the area is small, you can find very cute pieces at reasonable costs, of course don’t expect the greater quality, but that’s another review.
Depending on your currently location, this mall can seem pretty far for most, unless if already in the Katy area.
Parking is very large, never had a problem with parking durning the off season, holidays, parking is a nightmare anywhere you go.
Had a decent eating area and also has an AMC theater.
This mall has a store to satisfy all tastes. From the outdoors man… Bass Pro Shop to the technology savvy person… Bose store!
This mall has definitely grown since it was originally built.
So if you are one of the few around who hasn’t checked it out! I suggested you do one weekend! Remember to wear comfy shoes!

Stepping into this place is like going back in time. Very low end retail in a horribly garish mall full of cheap booths and discount shops.
if you’re going to run a discount mall at least make it a pleasant experience to visit.
I’d head to the outlets in Cypress any day over this place.

This mall has certainly evolved since it was built.
Back then, outlets were the rage, and this was essentially an outlet mall. While there are still a few outlets within (Corningware, Express, Gap) more traditional stores have filled in the gaps. Such is the lifecycle of the suburban mall.
I like this place for two reasons: it’s really easy to park here, so as long as you pick the right entrance it’s easy to get in and out without a fuss. Also, in conjunction with some charity work I’m involved in, this mall’s management is incredibly easy to work with and seems to care about the community. So I give them business when I’m ready to get my brick and mortar on.

I’ve grown to love Katy Mills in the past few years due to their increases in popular stores. From the recent addition if H&M to Kate Spade, you can always count on amazing deals resulting in happy wallets!
There are also a few attractions here, including AMC Theaters, a Segway course, and a trampoline place!
Avoid on Friday nights if you don’t do well in infinite crowds of little loitering teenagers. Seriously very annoying at times!

The only mall in Katy means that the owners just don’t care. This mall is in serious need of an overhaul. I don’t shop here because I want to, I shop here because I don’t have time to drive to a nice mall.
Katy deserves better.

Segway training course!
Cool mall, so many ghetto cool kids in here, the minivan bus has been officially dropped off, or shall I say bicycles.
I like this mall layout, you walk in a circle it’s perfect. 4 Stars because it has a Bass pro attached, and a rainforest café which 2 of my favorite things. Also a cool overpriced comic book shop with no AC how could you go wrong?
Also Polo outlet which has awesome staff, and the food court is a joke here with no gluten-​free options.
