As mentioned by others, the people are quite friendly. The food is pretty typical for these types of vendor operations in govt blogs. Lots of snack and drink items, the prepared food offerings are ok. Nothing to write home about. But if you are doing business here and get hungry or thirsty, it’s very convenient.

This is a convenience store in a small corner of the state building, so yes, they have a limited selection. In defense of this store that I frequent, I do not think they are overpriced at all. The local lady owner and her sisters are sweet, and I have never gotten sick from the sushi. They also have manapua, pork hash, hot dog and inexpensive items like sandwiches, frozen pizzas, saimin and things you can buy and heat in their microwave.

The owners are super friendly, but the food isn’t the best. The store did sell a daily soup a long time ago, but got rid of it. There’s the regular candy and granola bars, bottled/canned drinks, but overpriced. The sandwiches are meh, nothing special. I recommend going to Wendy’s across the street to grab a bite.

Since I frequent the state building in Kapolei often(Kakuhihewa building) I usually end up buying something at their mini store located in the lobby area/front entrance. Every time I shop there I am so dissappointed. The food they purchase is very bland tasting and not very fresh. In addition, they keep their food for pretty long and I returned a sushi once because it was practically spoiled. The coffee is also watered down and they refuse to allow you to use more than one cup even though the cups they use are super flimsy and cheap and my hands burn from just holding it. The only reason why I end up shopping there is out of convenience and each time I regret it. The price of cofffee keeps going up to even though they barely use coffee grind. It used to be 50 cents, then 75 cents, and now 85 cents. When I brought up the price change with the cashier, she practically snubbed me and said that the price was always 85 cents. I told her that I’d have to come back with 10 cents and she paused and didn’t say anything except for a frown and later said never mind after a coworker of mine came running to my aid with her coins. Anyway, if your in the area, your better off going to the city and county building behind the state building because their food is fresher and tastier or you can go to Costco too. To the store’s credit, the owner is very friendly and nice and her sisters are often there to help and support her. However, don’t waste your money or your health here. I’e talked to lots of people in the building about the store and they have the same feeling.
