Par Exsalonce Zona Rosa

Have had my hair cut and colored here several times with Jasmine and it’s always a good experience. She is knowledgeable and fun — when I want to try something bold she gives options and sticks to doing what I want. She also always offers to really style the hair after which I appreciate.
I’ve also had a facial here and while good, it was not as great as the experience down south at par Exsalonce as they have a locker room and relaxation room.

Bad in-​house hospitality. Hair dresser was totally un interested. Policy seemed like instruct once and sit back and TADA !!! No in between consulting the client.
Complimentary beverages were not served unless asked for. Rude no-​beverages policy for an accompanied friend who was waiting for me to get done with appointment. $ 45 for a male haircut, exorbitantly too much for the sad experience. ¹⁄₁₀ never again. College location is safe.

My girlfriend and I had appointments at 6 pm for massages today. It is now 6:41 PM and I am still sitting in the lobby yet to be taken back. Unfortunately she was taken right back or I would have left already. I watched 4 other people addressed and offered water prior to be taken back for their service. Not only would I not recommend this place but they have lost my girlfriend as a customer as well as any possibility I would become one. Absolutely horrible customer service. Unbelievable!!!*** Shortly after I posted this on Unilocal and their Facebook page the receptionist received a telephone call and stated «oh, he is waiting in the lobby… I’ll make it right». The Facebook post was promptly deleted. I was not addressed by a single staff member until 7:18 when the masseuse came and introduced herself to me. I told her she could cancel the appointment as it was an hour and twenty mins late.

I am staying at a hotel by the airport for a business trip. I didnt have time to take care of my hair in Chicago and planned on booking a reservation. The central office customer service was completely rude and after i told them I am leaving soon she hanged up on me. Really? Wow

If you want a truly pampered time, go see Sarah at Par Exsalonce in Zona Rosa. She will give you the best manicure and pedicure at a reasonable price. She really knows how to treat her clientele. By far the best mani and pedi I have ever had! I may never visit a quick/​cheap in-​and-​out place again. I recommend getting to 60 or 90 minute services… they are worth every penny. You will leave feeling like a queen!

Taryn is the best stylist hands down if your wanting color and highlights! She is super creative and I always leave happy. The scalp massage, hot towel, and beverage refreshments are an added perk of the salon. Can get pricey, but ive had too many bad hair cuts and colors at other salons that im perfectly happy spending more to get what I want.

I’ve been to Par Exsalonce several times and never had a bad experience. I’ve finally found the perfect stylist fit with Amanda. She did a great job of communicating what she was doing to my hair. I loved the end result. It is pricey salon but I would say its worth it.

My wife got her hair styled here a few days ago. Prior to the appointment she was pretty excited only to end up disappointed with the result. Her hair was down to her lower back before her visit. She asked her stylist to cut off three inches and Ombré highlights. She showed a few pictures of what she wanted and instead had six inches cut and a poor coloring job. The stylist had to add extra highlights which resulted in a four hour job. That afternoon when I saw my wife after getting home from work she was almost in tears. Her hair was much shorter than what she had wanted and she felt bad about spending $ 180 dollars on a haircut she wasn’t happy with. For the amount of money this place costs I cannot recommend it unless you don’t mind living with a unhappy wife. So much for an early Mothers Day gift.

Stephanie is the BEST! She always treats her clients like they are important and beautiful, and she is very talented and up beat. She NEVER disappoints.

I have been getting hair cuts and massages here for the last couple of years.
The hair: Stephanie is a wonderful, talented stylist with an upbeat personality who’s specialty is restoring self-​esteem through fabulous haircuts! After my hair-​mageddon experience at another salon, she talked me down off a ledge, got me on the right track, and has managed to bring me back from my short hair tragedy to something recognizable and, dare I say, stylish.
The massages: I’ve had massages done by various therapists here, and at some amazing places abroad. Let it be known that Marni wins hands down. She has magic hands. She’s so good that I took my teenage athlete son, who has the disposition of a hornet, to see her and he actually smiled afterward. He’s now a regular, too.

I’ve actually been to this location once before, and was treated to my hair being styled (straightened-​I had long hair at the time, and only had time to wash and condition that morning) and my makeup «refreshed» (she added more mascara, put grey eyeshadow OVER my current lavender, and thickened and lengthened my eyeliner-didn’t take longer than 3 minutes) for a ridiculous $ 85 (which, as was pointed out to my dropped jaw «did not include tip»). Fine, whatever, I should’ve checked the prices beforehand. I didn’t have time to argue, so I paid, tipped and left.
Today, we were in Zona Rosa again and my husband needed a haircut. I decided to send him there, since we were parked right in front of the salon. We had a baby stroller, and I put little guy inside. I decided to roll us off to The Grove to play with the other little ones, and told my husband to make sure he got a nice haircut. I didn’t make it five feet before he came out to tell me they were «booked for the day». Really? With one girl standing at the counter, one sitting in a chair by the makeup table, and the other behind the desk, all gabbing away-​no one could manage a dude’s haircut? They were THAT booked? Whatever.
My husband went to Revue instead and got an amazing cut (or as amazing as it gets, it’s been the same cut since I’ve met him), and was even talked into a shampoo and head massage, and left spending less than $ 30, pre-​tip. I’m sure he would’ve paid more than that at Par Exsalonce.
To add insult to injury, when we left the Grove an hour or so later, two of the girls at Par Exsalonce were in the same formation, giggling and chatting. Really? Being in Zona does not equal success. I hope a manager can take a look at their cameras and see that ridiculousness. I’m burnt. Too bad, because we have a group of girls that need makeup done for prom, and that’s the only place I know about in KC. Guess we’ll hit up a makeup counter instead.

Ok, so according an older review here on Unilocal,I see where a reviewer had an issue in the past so I wanted to wait it out a bit and visit a few times before I reviewed it. So now, after several visits, I just don’t have anything bad to say.
The décor is comfortable and classy and everyone I’ve had contact there is friendly and professional.
I don’t understand why they’re not busier but from what I’ve seen, that’s changing. It’s still a great place to get into with just a little bit of notice though.

After my post to Unilocal,I was emailed by a manager with a very professional & sincere apology. I received a credit for the amount I had spent that day. I was very appreciative.
