Maybe one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. Chicken and Dumplings sounded so good. Very few pieces of chicken smothered in a tasteless white gravy and gummy blobs they called dumplings. Ordered a side of fried Okra that they served on the plate sitting in the gravy getting soggy. Years ago I went there for breakfast which I really enjoyed. Was looking forward to a good comfort food dinner. So disappointed. It’s forever off my list of places to eat.

The food was beyond amazing!!! The service was great. Rocky was the best waitress, very friendly and personable. I had the chicken, mushroom, and gravy over rice pilaf! It was so delicious. and you get to choose 2 sides with the meal. Will definitely be back :) Lastly, the service is very quick. So, if you are starving, you will not be disappointed and will leave with a happy stomach.

Yummy and quick service as always. We were a little bummed the fireplace wasn’t on but we could smell that it had been on.

I have always been a fan of breakfast foods. Cracker Barrel seems to specialize in breakfast, particularly pancakes. On our first visit to this location, we had a nice meal. My wife and I both got Mama’s Pancake breakfast, which is three pancakes, eggs and sausage. Pretty good. Eggs were properly cooked. I get over hard, which isn’t too difficult, you just have to cook them long enough. My wife got over medium and they came out perfect. That’s always a good judge of a breakfast place. If they serve breakfast, they better know how to properly cook eggs. The pancakes were really good, just very filling. To me, the sausage had an odd smoky taste that seemed a bit out of place and overpowering. My wife didn’t mind them. I didn’t finish them. Another draw to Cracker Barrel is the store aspect. Their entryway is full of kitschy items, gadgets, candles, and candies. Its the type of place that reminds you of a trip to grandma’s, in a wonderful memory sort of way.

Good service, good grub, great selection in a brand we’ve come to trust during pit stops on the open road, or a quick meal just down the road from home. All at a fair price.

Food was delicious! Love some Country food! Server was sweet. We went before closing and it was nice to have the whole Resturant to ourselves.

I tried ordering online. It leads you to a phone number with a long hold line. When they asked if I wanted to continue to hold I said I had some questions and was quickly sent to a manager… to tell me the prices that aren’t on the menu. The lady on the phone could have done that… I guess I will never try you restaurant.

Thanksgiving Dinner to go was perfect. Good old fashioned«the way mother used to make it» food and lots of it(family dinner size order), We wanted an extra side dish and a pumpkin pie, No problem. Pick-up Thanksgiving morning was fast and easy. We all agreed we needed to write a review! And for sure we will do this again with the next holiday as they have a choice of dinners — it doesn’t have to be turkey!

We were sat immediately. Our waitress Bonnie was prompt and the menu was extensive. The place was packed so the food took a bit, but nothing to complain about. Food was hot and tasty. What more do you need?

What can you say new about Cracker Barrel. Always consistently good. Generous portions. Fast service. The only complaint I always seem to have with this restaurant is over medium eggs means whites firm, yellows runny. Hardly ever seem to get that right. But everything else is always worth coming back for.

The service at Cracker Barrel is great. From the moment you walk in and to the second you walk out. and beyond… the employees at this cracker barrel male you feel at home. The food comes out relatively fast, cooked to order, and very hot(which usually is indicative of being right off the grill or being under a heating lamp… I like to think the former). The price for the food is great and location is right off the highway and convenient. I give it 5-stars for their customer service, taste of food, and price you pay for it.

My wife and I used to frequent this restaurant but it has gone downhill lately. The last several times we have gone, we have had very bad experiences. Two times ago, there was hair on both of our plates. They didn’t even really apologize, just took the plates back with an attitude and brought out new ones and plopped them down unapologetically. The last time we went, there was a bug in my wife’s oatmeal. I alerted the manager. He was very apologetic and said he would comp our meal that day. For a moment, I was pleased because he seemed to be genuinely apologetic and concerned. But then he brought us our bill and had only removed the oatmeal, even though he had clearly led us to believe he was going to comp the entire meal. We have decided that we will not be returning. It is not worth the money to us, especially after two back to back bad experiences. This is really unfortunate because I grew up really liking Cracker Barrel, it just sucks that the one closest to me isn’t worth going to.

All restaurants should model their business like this chain. When I first arrived I was greeted very warmly. As soon as I was seated the waitress was over immediately to greet me and take my beverage order. My choice for dinner was their chicken and dumplings meal with mashed potatoes with sweet baby carrots. I had just started to check my email when within two minutes my meal arrived. The food was hot and very tasty . The baby carrots were amazing. Of course no trip to Cracker Barrel is finished until you have the Peach Cobbler ‚ It did not disappoint. For less than $ 15 dollars, the meal was to me a bargain.

One nice thing about chain grub stops is you pretty much know what your gonna get. Cracker Barrel has fed my family so many times I’ve lost count, I consider it a good meal, if we don’t walk out with some obscure trinket for the house, or candy that who knows how long it’s been on the shelf. Known for good home cooking, in my mind they are the kings of French toast, and I think it’s that they use 50% pure maple syrup, versus most breakfast joints use flavored high fructose liquids labeled as syrup. The fam’ grabs 3 orders of momma’s French toast, 6 syrups, and all conversation stops and the plate scraping begins. You know the food you’ll be getting will be good, the only surprise occurs when you spend 30 minutes waiting for your table wandering the Cracker Barrel store and end up with a barking toy dog for an inexpensive $ 14.99…love that Cracker Barrel.

Don’t care that it’s a chain… love me some Cracker Barrel for a big ol’ country breakfast! This location is close by so it’s easy to run over for breakfast for dinner! The big roaring fire is always nice in the winter too as an added bonus. We love Crystal who has been there for a long time. The bad part? Our kids ałways want to look at their store stuff to kill time. Unfortunately we(or rather the hubby) always ends up purchasing some type of junk(toy? Candy? Cheap t shirt?) before we even get to our meal! Dig in!

Consistent and that is a good thing Sometimes you will find a line out the door with people waiting to eat here. With my travel schedule you might find three customers here at 6:00 am. Doesn’t matter the staff is smiling and helpful. Service here is excellent and the food is the same quality you find at almost every Cracker Barrel. I love that little thin crust they get all around each pancake… Once again good food and service from a very well run chain.

After picking up my husband from the airport last week, I was just craving comfort food and after a good breakfast experience here a couple of months ago(which I completely spaced reviewing) we decided to head here for dinner. Once we finally were able to make our way inside(my two-year-old wanted to sit in every rocking chair!!) we were promptly seated. Our server brought the biscuits and apple butter right after we placed our order. I LOVE apple butter and this was no exception. I’m pretty sure my son is a fan now too. I ordered the baked chicken off the lighter menu, mainly because it just sounded good. It was a chicken breast breaded with corn flakes and spiced well. I did get a side of gravy to keep it from being too light. I ordered a sweet potato and steamed broccoli as my sides and they were both pretty yummy. My son devoured his kids mac and cheese pretty quickly and enjoyed the big bowl of fruit that came with it. My husband ordered fish and enjoyed rice and dumplings as his sides. He wasn’t a big fan of the dumplings but he was more curious than anything. If you’re just craving comfort food and are en route or heading home from the airport around meal time, it’s a good place to go! (also the breakfast I had here a few months ago was good too — I can’t remember what I had but it was a lot of food and I enjoyed everything on my plate)

— nice atmosphere — fast and great service — lots of food selection but most are higher calotype meals. You can find low cal /healthy choices but you will need to ask the server for substitutions. — gift shop is really fun to walk through. — French toast is just AMAZING.

So I absolutely adore Cracker Barrel and I don’t know how I’ve never reviewed this one. I used to live off Barry Road when I first moved to Kansas City and have been to this place many times and often will try to figure out how to get there both before and after a flight out(it’s two exits down from the freeway). Comfort food. Fire place. Old Country store. Rocking chairs and giant checkerboards outside. Grits. Apple cider. Great service. Awesome.
