Amazing burgers and what might be the best onion rings I’ve had. Most recently I had the American Kobe and it was perfect; it had good flavor but was still understated-the toppings complimented the meat instead of trying to mask it. Cheese curds are also excellent. The only bad things I’d say is that I liked the atmosphere at their plaza location better, and they used to have a wider soda selections then as well.

Glad they were here. Port Fonda was closed for cleaning and i was hungry. Had the classic and it was just delicious. It came with the beer battered onions rings which were great too bad there were only 4. Wifey had the carnitas and fries which was good. Liked them in the Plaza, loved them in Westport.

Date night in Westport. I had the chicken sandwich with pesto and goat cheese and balsamic glaze. The chicken was moist and the goat cheese creamy. I could use a bit more balsamic but that’s just a personal preference. Bonus points for a GF bun option! Nice drink options but I was super bummed they didn’t have the listed apricot pear cider. I was really looking forward to it! I settled for a red wine selection that was a bit woody and bitter but not the worst red wine I’ve ever had. Date had a beer and the turkey burger which he enjoyed. This place was easily only half full, maybe even only a third full. Not sure why given that it was a Friday night…

The truffle fries with house-made ketchup are not to be missed! I order those with the Inside-Out Burger every time. The bleu cheese inside is perfection.

Not sure why this place isn’t packed every night! They have a great beer menu. There are tons of options to choose from. I enjoyed a Left Hand Stout Nitro that I haven’t found around KC frequently. My wife and I also really enjoy the fries. The sweet potato fries and truffle fries are just fantastic. The burgers are a bit pricy. We usually go there for happy hour or just drinks. I highly recommend them for those two events.

I went to Blanc Burgers for lunch last Wednesday, and was happy to see they have a lunch meal that includes a side(had a hard time choosing between fries or onion rings:)) & drink(soda) for around $ 10! The burger was moist and delicious, great fries and I loved the house catsup. The bartender/waiter was attentive and friendly– I will definitely visit again soon!!!

It’s okay. Not too much to write home about, imo. I mean, it’s a burger… The sides are a la carte and the portions are a little sheisty; but, since you ARE eating enough calories that come with your burger, who needs sides anyways? Lol.

Every once in awhile, my friends and I will buy Blanc’s Groupon and gorge ourselves in delicious burgers and fries. I’ve never had a burger that I didn’t like at Blanc; though, I don’t think I’d purchase them at full price without the groupon. The truffle fries are a must and I just can’t get enough of the tiny shopping carts that they come in. Sometimes you need a burger. Blanc has good burgers!

@BlancBurgers Even though the waiter was a bit odd asking me if I wanted a shot of Whiskey, at 11am. I shrugged thinking it must be his humor, on to the good… he didn’t Hoover but was attentive, the restaurant was clean, food came out fast, & was delish! I ordered the $ 10 lunch… Blanc Burger, fries, & fountain drink, not a bad deal! I will be back for more!

My husband and I have always enjoyed Blanc, because they do burgers differently than other places. On this visit, I chose the American Kobe and we had the half sweet potato fries/half onion rings side. The fries came to the table crispy; the onion rings were also crisp, not soggy. The food was good, as with previous visits. The service was attentive, not intrusive. We never had to ask for refills because she would check on our drinks when she noticed they were low. However, the one thing I did notice on this visit was the lack of cleanliness. Under-staffing? The table next to ours had food bits underneath it, as well as on the banquette. The couple that was seated there, about thirty minutes into our meal, had to ask the server to wipe off the seat. The table tops were wiped down, but I think a lack of attention to detail is showing. I also noticed food bits and other debris under tables on our way out. I cringe at what kind of impression that has on people just arriving, preparing to sit down for their meal.

Ate here with a Groupon. 2 burgers + side for 16. Not a terrible deal, but even at that price, I wouldn’t go back. The burgers were thin and tiny, and the toppings weren’t fresh(yellow lettuce, brown tomatoes) and the bun may have actually been stale. Our onion rings had much too much batter put on them, and basically just tasted like batter, although they did come in a neat little cart. After the waitress found that I was using a Groupon the service immediately plummeted, and after getting our food we had to wait about 10 minutes for napkins and utensils as the waitress avoided us to the point I had to go ask a hostess for those two things. Save your money, get a better burger, and go to Five Guys.

My first time at the westport location since the plaza. I haven’t been to blanc in 2 years. I definitely like this location better since it has better natural light than the basement underneath the garage in the plaza. When we got there, we was immediately seated. I’ve order the Asian salmon burger and my friend order a bison burger medium rare with sweet potatoes fries. From my first time experience I remember, I was full and satisfied. As the food was arriving, I was a little disappointed, our burgers didn’t look good or big. Just mediocre. We share our food, the bison bigger was a bit well done so you can’t taste the sweet meat. The salmon burger could have used a fresh bread cause it taste a bit old. Sweet potatoes fries was a bit brunt. You had to dip a lot in their ketchup to get rid of the smell. All in all, after that meal, it wasn’t satisfaction. I was still hungry afterwards and it was a bit expensive.

Definitely not my favorite decorating style and mood as far as restaurants go. I always feel like it’s empty and sterile which isn’t bad for dining place I suppose. The Westport location is much better than their location on the Plaza! The only difference seems to be the lack of variety that they have of beers on tap in comparison to their Plaza location. Their food, as always, is terrific and they put a lot of thought and care into crafting their burgers. If I am going to go out in Westport though I am more likely to go elsewhere but I do like to stop in from time to time. Please bring back your large variety of bottled beers and rare beers on tap!

Awesome burger place. Shared the wings, sweet potato fries, and truffle fries with my family. They were all good. Now onto the burgers. My brother and i split 2 burgers. First up was the All American Kobe Burger. This was an awesome burger. All the different ingredients went great with each other and burger was cooked a perfect medium rare just the way I asked. The other burger we split was the crab mac n cheese burger. i was pretty disappointed in this burger. Sounded a lot better than it actually tasted. i tried a little bit of the Chocolate Milk Shake. It was really good. Rich and creamy. Highly recommend this place for Gourmet style burgers.

I used to LOVE Blanc and their yummy burgers but after coming here last weekend it just seems«okay». My burger was nothing to brag about(I had the turkey) and the BF got the carnitas(which was still nothing super). I felt like it was a smaller burger on a large bun topped with a small tomato and a few random pieces of spinach. The hand cut fries were over cooked but still edible so it wasn’t a big deal but it just wasn’t the same. I don’t know how great this location is going to do because it’s a nice chunk of change for a so-so burger in Westport… I’m not sure that people are going to be too impressed with it. The service was very good but I don’t know if that’s enough to make me want to come back often.

OMG… burgers… that doesn’t even begin to cover what they have. I went here for my first KS meal this time here and I was definitely impressed and stuffed when I walked out. First off… I ordered a beer. I didn’t know what type of beer I wanted so the bartender let me taste a few so I could decide. Their beer selection is pretty awesome — lots of selection of all different types of tastes. I ordered the grilled mahi mahi burger… dude… seriously… this thing was fantastic. It came out on a bun that was nice and warm but not soggy. I think this is super important because that means it wasn’t sitting in the window forever — the faster the food comes out to the table from the kitchen, the better it is in my opinion. The fish was seasoned well and the dill tarter sauce was quite tasty. I was super surprised by the homemade pickles. They were good — not as good as Claussen but still tasty. The fries came in a little shopping cart which I thought was very innovative and fun to push around the table asking people if they wanted more fries. I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the intention of the shopping cart but it was definitely entertaining for me. If you’re in the KS area and haven’t tried Blanc Burgers, you most definitely should.

After acknowledging that their subterranean space in the Country Club Plaza was a poor fit, Blanc has moved back to Westport, an attempt to recapture the magic of their original location. It’ll be up to many more than me to decide whether or not they’ve succeeded, but I certainly wasn’t feeling the magic on my Friday night visit. Walking in around 8:30 we were immediately sat, which was great for us but seemed quite odd considering most other spots in the neighborhood were on a considerable wait. Our server Ali was super cool and good at her job, so zero complaints there. Because I am a glutton, I ordered the burger stuffed with blue crab mac and cheese. The slightly more reasonable husband ordered the bison burger, and we shared an order of truffle fries. I had to say, my burger was VERY good. It was rich and creamy and cooked to a perfect medium. Messy in my unkempt beard, but I can hardly blame them for that. What I will blame them for is this: That bun writes a check that the burger can’t cash. I ran out of burger and still had like 1⁄3 of a bun left, which was a bummer. I can’t decide if it’s a small burger or a huge bun, but they don’t match. Husband’s burger was good, and we were split on the fries. He loved them, I thought they were oily. Good service, good food, what’s the problem? Unfortunately, this restaurant just has an atmosphere that feels completely devoid of happiness. The music was barely audible beyond the occasional bass line, the décor is stark and even the guests seemed really subdued. If I didn’t know any better, I’d suspect this restaurant was owned by a dementor! I don’t know what I’d tell them to even fix, but there’s just a negative funk just all up in their biz. I think Blanc needs a hug. In the end, while the food experience was fine I doubt we’ll be back unless somebody else feels very strongly about visiting. There are nearby restaurants that I feel serve a better burger, and there are just too many other places in the area that have a more appealing vibe. I feel like Blanc is fighting for their relevance, and I don’t know that its there anymore.

It’s Baaaaack! The new old Blanc. Settled into their new location in Westport, blanc burgers + bottles is again serving their well-known selections of burgers, sandwiches, sides, wines, and beers. The new location is a cross between their old location and the former Plaza location. The cold concrete floors of the Plaza have been replaced with warmer grey planked flooring. The colors are similar but a little darker than the stark white of the Plaza. Walls are darker grey and the familiar orange. Oh, and they have windows again! no more basement feel. The menu is mostly the same — It may be exactly the same of recent but I hadn’t been for a couple months prior to last months closing on the Plaza. There’s a new crispy polenta sandwich and fire fries that I didn’t remember seeing before. The space is a little smaller but certainly not small. Same friendly, all-pro service and the prices may have dropped a little.
