2000 Grand Event Space

2000 Grand is a beautiful event space equipped with bars, TV’s, sound system, photo booth, etc. The wall of windows that open and the view of downtown doesn’t hurt either! The staff is extremely helpful and personable. The coordinator Jeri, and her assistant Jake, went above and beyond to make sure our rehearsal dinner was flawless. Jeri is very punctual, organized, accommodating and timely with communication. I couldn’t have pictured our evening any more perfect thanks to Jeri and her staff. I would highly recommend 2000 Grand to anyone looking for a rehearsal dinner or wedding reception spot!

Had my wedding and reception here in May 2015. The staff was amazing and the coordinator we worked with saved our skin multiple times! Jeri was extremely accommodating.
I still have family members who attended come up to me to rave about how great the venue was. Even with less than desirable weather, we still were able to have a beautiful setting that had a very unique and fun atmosphere.
Couldn’t have asked for a better spot for our special day.

The space was fantastic as well as the wait staff. I thought bartender was exceptional and the food was tasty. My only complaint is that we paid for 80 people and we only had about 60, yet the food was all gone within 2 hours. That was my disappointment as I don’t think we got what we paid for.

My Fiancé and I were very excited to have our wedding reception here next March. Beautiful space, great view, excellent food and a 5-​star wedding coordinator. We signed a contract with 2000 Grand on November 3, 2012, however the contract was signed not by our event coordinator, but by the owner. We knew nothing of this because we never saw the contract after the owner signed it… You could say we didn’t mind because we were still in a pre-​wedding bliss, full of fun planning for the best day of our lives. Needless to say, the bliss has worn off.
On November 12, 2012, we went in for a tasting to select the entrée for the reception. Our great event coordinator, who we really liked and trusted, told us then and there that she was leaving and introduced us to her replacement. We were okay with it at the start, but after 5 days of no returned emails we knew this was a fail. We didn’t trust the new coordinator to get the job done so we tried to pull out of the contract on November 21, 2012 by citing a clause that said something to the effect of «no changes are binding except in writing». But, to our dismay, the contract wasn’t even signed by our coordinator, it was signed by the owner (someone the internet tells us is quite the bully). Remember the wedding bliss? Yeah we had no idea.
Another interesting point here is that, we asked them to take us off their calendar earlier this week so they can begin to re-​lease the space, and sustain no damages by our situation. They refused and claimed they won’t take us off until we pay our contract cancellation fee, which I will explain in the next paragraph. This is just silly business practice that can be simplified into plain-​old bullying. They know that we are gone. They also know they won’t make money if they don’t re-​lease the space. But they insist on hurting their own business to collect a measly $ 2,000 from a young engaged couple, us, who want out because they acted quite unprofessionally.
Long story short, lots of emails, a few interesting phone calls and some heartburn later, 2000 Grand delivered an ultimatum. Either we pay the 25% of the contract amount (which was a clause in the contract that we understand, but we claim the whole agreement is voided by their unprofessional actions) or they hand us over to the collection rats.
I would strongly advise any prospective event-​hosting people out there that even though the space is good, the food is good and the folks seem nice, the current management here can be accurately described as crooks. I hope this post encourages you to make a wise decision of where you take your business.
One last note, some of the positive reviews here mention the name «Chrissy». Yep, she was our event coordinator, and she is very talented at what she does. 2000 Grand swapped her out.

I recently got married and we held our ceremony and reception here, they are located on the 2^nd and 3^rd floor of The Cashew.
When searching for wedding venues I knew I wanted something urban and non-​traditional. I also wanted to simplify the day, I didn’t want to work with tons of vendors.
I ended up at 2000 Grand by a total fluke. Either way the view is fantastic! the garage doors on 2 walls are awesome you get great views of the city when the weather is nice you can turn the venue into an «open air» type venue by opening the garage doors. They’re also an all-​inclusive venue, they provide chairs, tables, staff, food, booze. EVERYTHING!
The food was delicious, we got so many compliments on the food. Along with the venue and the staff. Their staff is so attentive once the shindig got underway I didn’t have to worry about anything! Chrissy and Katherine are incredible helpful and accommodating and have a great staff working for them.
If you are looking for wedding venues or any type of venue to hold a party book 2000 Grand!

Great space, great service, quick response. I was able to setup and host a surprise birthday party. Despite the short notice, everything went as planned without a hitch.
