I decided to stop by to this Walgreens because I was around the neighborhood. They had a sale under Walgreens membership when I paid and left I realize they charged me full price for the items that was on sale. Probably my fault who should of said something but shouldn’t the employees have known which items were on sale.

LONGS HAS BETTER SERVICE! FYI: THERE IS ONLY ONE LINE!!! Normally I don’t mind walgreens: it’s small and kind of organized, and the staff usually minds their own business unless asked a question. But tonight one of the sale associates named Maggie gave me the worst service I ever got from these kinds of stores. There were customers checking out on the register and the left, and customers checking out on the register on the right. So I stood behind the people in the left and my friend stood behind the customers on the right.
When the people in front of me finished Maggie held up her hand in front of me and yelled «Next!» And yelling towards my friend. He didn’t move towards her at first since I was «in line» and ready to pay so she looked at me and said «there’s only one line». I was so shocked so I stood behind the line again and watched her ring up my friend. Now I should let you all know that I just had to buy lightbulbs (60 watts). So I threw my lightbulbs on the counter and had to have my friend buy my lightbulbs because I didn’t want to stand in the correct line again.
I told her they should put up a sign letting their customers know that there is only one line. She said «there has always been one line» which to me is a lie because I have stood in the non-​existent line several times before. So I told my friends brother to move out of the way of the registers so that other customers don’t think there is a line and she piped in and said «we dont need a sign. It’s common sense!» WHAT THE HELL KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES WALGREENS ALLOW THEIR EMPLOYEES TO GIVE?! I was so pissed I wasn’t thinking and continued to let my friend pay for my lightbulbs. I should have left them for Maggie to put away! I don’t understand why she couldn’t just let me purchase my one set of lightbulbs. I don’t know what got her panties in a twist (or maybe she should were looser ones), but I will no longer go there or any other walgreens when Longs is readily available 24 hrs as well.
Remember her name everybody: MAGGIE! she will ruin your day because she is just flat out unpleasant and (in this case) stupid.

Worst pharmacy drive through. Don’t advertise speedy convenience when it’s worse then finding parking in a horrible parking lot, walking all the way in, and waiting in line Lame!

I needed to pick up a prescription at this Walgreen’s because the one I usually go to didn’t have my medication. I decided to go through the drive thru service that has two lanes, but I felt more comfortable waiting in the one closest to the window. I had already waited about 15 minutes with 2 cars in front of me and two in the outer lane. For some reason the woman in the outer lane had backed up behind me as I pulled up to the window and another car pulled into the outer lane. The clerk inside turned around and saw that she recognized the woman in the vehicle in the outer lane and proceeded to assist her, over heard the woman say, «I am picking up for my dad.» I sat there and continued to wait patiently and wished I would have said something like, «excuse me, I was here first and had already been waiting… as your friend had just pulled up.» The other clerk looked at her as with wonder if I had been helped? That clerk assisted me instead. I did get to see the other clerks name, Samantha. She need to pay attention as to what is happening in the drive thru lane and not be helping someone first just because she knows them. Hopefully I won’t need to go to Kaneohe again for pick up medicine.

I decided to switch my prescriptions from Long’s to Walgreen’s in Kaneohe about six months ago. That was a mistake. Every single time I have ordered or picked up there is a problem usually involving an issue being handled one way by one employee and another way by the next. Twice I’ve been told my prescription was ready but when I go to pick up I’m told they cannot fill for x more days under State law. Why would you text me to pick up or say it’s ready when I call if you cannot fill? Had to ask the doctor for a paper prescription because the electronic prescription was causing problems. Next, my doctor always includes 3 refills and has for years. Two months ago the pharmacist says there is a 2 refill max on my meds so they logged 3 refills as two refills. Today, same thing: doctor wrote 3 refills but this time «a call to the doctor is required» on a Saturday and whoever answered said to change to no refills. WHAT? Always, always, always problems. Back to Long’s. Never should have tried Walgreen’s in the first place.

The worst! Ordered photos online. Was promised by 7:15 pm. Went in at 8 pm, they weren’t ready. So I asked if I could come by at 6 am. They said they would definitely be ready. I went in, had to wait in line at the cash register just to ask someone to attend the photo department. Then again, photos weren’t ready. «Oh, we could have done it for you in 10 minutes last night but now are computers are ‘acting up’». «We can probably have it done for you by 1pm I was told.» Thanks, but yeah, I needed them by 1pm and will be on the other side of the island and will not be coming back until 7pm. So Walgreens you have effectively completely failed.

I have to say every single time I go into this Walgreens store I get the best customer service compared to all other Walgreens on the island. The staff is so helpful even if I have dumb questions. I go every Sunday morning and every new face is see always has a smile. I have to point out one person though, the overnight manager Densie is amazing! She has helped me a few times and always finds a solution to any issues I may have such as them not having a product I need. Denise goes above and beyond to help her customers, best manager of any store I have ever meet. Thank you guys for making my visits to your location an enjoyable one! Lifetime customer right here.

Always friendly and quick! Kathy has awesome customer service! I go here over Longs anyday, more convenient and the pharmacy has expedited service and usually no line PLUS a drive thru!!! Awesome!!!

Pharmacy sucks
I ask her questions if she had a certain pills at their store I only could pick it up at certain places because my dosage is high she got upset and said she can’t help me and give out that information … So I said I’m coming from Hauula on the bus I don’t wanna go their for nothing she couldn’t of said yes we can … Wahiawa pharmacy is helpful not kaneohe

Awesome deals! If you don’t already have their rewards card, then get one ASAP. It is absolutely worth it. Customer service here is really nice, too.
They offer photo services and a pharmacy at this location.

When I was checking out with the buy 1 get 1 free reading glass promotion. I didn’t have a pair with a matching price.
Mollie the cashier went with me to get and match the correct items needed. She was very friendly and helpfull. A true display of the Aloha Spirit!
Plus they have ICEE also!

I never thought I would review a drugstore on Unilocal but wow did I have a great experience getting photos at walgreens recently. went in to the store without much knowledge of how to use same day photo machines. as I stood their lost a bright spot in the day came to the rescue. his name was egan. what a cool guy. he not only showed me how to look up photos on my camera card but he took the time to help me with sizing and other cool touch ups. nice quality of photos came out. impressed

When I come after work (7:15am or so), this Walgreens is empty, calm, and clean with lots of parking nearby — even though they are close to Starbucks, Jamba Juice, and Longs… I really enjoy looking at the sales items and once in a while, do an impulse purchase.
This past Christmas, I looked at the printed ad that comes in the Sunday paper and wanted to get my sisters something good. I saw the special facial brushes. Thinking that they might need one, I stopped by the store and ordered them — one pink and one lavender. Somehow the order got messed up, but the manager substituted another brand and got me the sales price. She went above & beyond — even calling me at home when the order came in from the mainland! That’s good customer service!
At other times, I use the kiosk to print our photos. Yes — I’m old school… That’s because my aunties, uncles & mom are not high tech. They like photo albums and framed pictures to remember loved ones and special occassions. I give them their memories in the form of photos! When I have difficulty at the Walgreens kiosk, the staff are so halpful and friendly — they always check on me to see if I need help.
Even the cashiers are cheerful — they call me «auntie» — hey — how do they know my name? When I was buying my sister the spam cutter, the clerk jokingly hinted for me to bring some spam musubi for him! Haha! But — my sister already had a slicer, so I went back and returned it — no problem!
I also like the wide selection of generic medication. Yes, I try to treat myself instead of going to the doctor. So far, so good. The Walgreens brand has been good to me — it’s on the «corner of happy & healthy», right?

Great walgreens in hawaii, its basic for mainland standards but clean and great employees that are warm and helpful and attentive to customers’ needs. The checkout line can get a little long in my experience. The two ladies that work at the pharmacy dept were great also and had no problems filling a new prescription. The prices for snacks are great with sales here, better than the supermarkets on things like lorna doone for 1.50 and saltines, cheese crackers, etc. I would recommend to everyone

I was shocked to find out going to the store around midnight that no one could assist me in cosmetics after waiting by the counter for nearly 10 minutes. I walked over to a manager and asked for help and she looked at me like a deer in headlights when I asked for help in the cosmetics dept to find something. She said she would get someone to help, again I waited by the counter.
Finally I grabbed whatever else i needed and went to the registers, again no one helped me when i told them about the item I wanted, and that it was sold out. I was not offered a replacement or raincheck. Instead of asking for anything else or waiting longer I left that store, tired of waiting for employees that were incapable of good customer service.
It was busy in the store but seemed like your average night, I dont know what could have happened there that night but it was a very different experience than before. I am downgrading from 4 stars to 3 stars, generously giving them the benefit of the doubt. The still have generally freindly customer service and are helpful.

So I love that this Walgreens is super close to me and they have a Red Box that I frequent. It is a basic Walgreens, nothing fancy, nothing terrible. The thing that is frustrating is that they have a hard time keeping the line moving so the check out time is a little silly. This walgreens does have a drive thru for the prescriptions but I never get prescriptions so doesn’t help me!

Drive through pharmacy awesome, used to get my prescriptions filled at Longs, however at both Kaneohe locations I’ve had bad service, rude workers, and messed up prescrptions. Walgreens pharmacist went out of her way to show us cheaper alternative OTC medication options that cost far less than prescription drugs.

My wife was denied medication. She really needs it because she’s in a lot of pain. I probably have to watch my wife toss and turn all night or until i have to drive her back to the ER because she can’t take the pain. We have the morphine that we picked up a few days ago but it didn’t work. So what do we do… double up, triple up maybe take four pills at a time just so she can rest. I went to 5 other pharmacy’s here on the windward side and no one either had it or we weren’t covered by our insurance. Cant really go anywhere on a Sunday.

If I can’t find what I want at Long’s, I just walk over to Walgreen’s, and they usually have it. It’s a good balance of merchandise between the two stores. I like the fact that there is a Redbox there to rent movies, and I usually get more my shampoo and cosmetics at Walgreens.
The people who work there seem a little more friendlier as well.

I have seriously never been to a better pharmacy. I do not have one complaint about this store or their pharmacy. The store is clean, well stocked and filled with friendly and courteous staff.
The pharmacy is out of this world! The staff there is very knowledgeable and if they don’t know the answer they never hesitate to call the pharmacist. None of the pharmacists have ever disappointed me. They are friendly, intelligent and never act put out when you pull them away from what they are doing to ask a question. They pay GREAT attention to detail. I was picking up a prescription and they alerted me that the pills would look different because they had gotten them from a different manufacturer this time. Their drive-​thru is an added bonus. 24 hour service too!!! You can’t go wrong.
On a side note I work in the health care industry and recommend that my patients use this pharmacy for all of their prescription needs. They are fast and fill prescriptions within minutes. They are always very nice when I call in a prescription and they have never made an error (knock on wood.)

The folks who work at this location are friendly & helpful. Plus this location is larger than the Kapiolani location.
The pharmacy has a drive-​through window which is open 24 hours (like the store). What a great idea esp if you’re not feeling well, have kids or elderly who need help getting in & out of the car plus in & out of the store. Wish I lived closer to take advantage of the drive-​through window.
