Roger’s Solar

Roger’s solar was sub-​contracted by Al Rezentes roofing to take down our 30 year old solar water heater and I could not be less displeased with their work.
The system was working previously to them removing it, however they would not put it back up. Instead we could buy a new system or buy a used ‘refurbished’ system.
Instead we went with Hawaiian Island Solar who were much better priced and helpful.

STAY AWAY! BUYER BEWARE! Roger Nite operated unprofessionally and tried his best to cheat us out of $ 5,500 dollars over quote for a solar hot water job that was already 30% over priced than what Hawaii installers charge. We had to report him to the State of Hawaii and also BBB.
His work was unprofessional and our roof leaked when it was checked after the installation. He is shifty and was operating under another contractors license of which had expired when investigated by the State of Hawaii during another job.
I would like to thank Micheal Mckenzie from BBB of Hawaii and also Brian Chen from the Hawaii State contractor licensing regulatory dep for their help.
This incident of intent to cheat us took one whole year of unnecessary hard work and time that you as a tax payer of Hawaii had to pay for to resolve this issue.
It was resolved Thanks to the state and BBB hard efforts.
We were forced by Roger’s solar to sign paperwork promising not to sue in order to get OUR money back that he took above the price quoted that we had set aside for future PV work.
Do yourself a favor and keep well away from this guy and his sales guy Kevin O’Keefe.
BBB has a «no rating» on this business even though Roger’s Solar is claiming to be a BBB accredited business.
Credit cards are advertised to be accepted on his website but we were denied use of our credit card.
