There was a hair in my food. Other than that it was of average quality, nothing special.

What a nice place! Friendly staff and good classic food. We had the Rueben, California Rueben, and blueberry pie with ice cream. Delicious!

Food was done well and service was quick. Coffee isn’t anything special. Prices seemed a little high for what you get. Probably a place the locals frequent. Better than fast food for sure.

I have been going to Summer Thyme for over 5 years for both lunch and dinner. I have always enjoyed their menu items, service and pricing. The relaxed atmosphere is perfect for work lunches and you can depend on tasting food every time.

Came here with my son after baseball practice. Fast and very friendly service. Food was good, but their desserts really take the cake! Priced fairly

Came here with my nephew on our way back from the air museum. We both had sandwiches and fries, and the food came quickly which is always good with impatient kiddos! Standard type menu, good service, bright and clean. The place is quite large and roomy which is nice.

My wife and I came across this place a couple of days ago and decided to try it for lunch. She had a bowl of chili which she said was very good. I had veg beef barley soup and a salad. Soup was very hearty and tasty. Salad was fresh and crisp. Service was quick and the staff very friendly. We decided that we would go back soon to try the dinner options.

The girls went out for what. A birthday lunch of course. We celebrate everything with food no one had been here before but me, I love that. Where else can you get homemade soups and different sandwiches. I tried the broccoli cheese, One tried the tomato, one a wrap. All were. Delish. Good service reasonable prices.

Very solid choice for lunch soup or sandwich. Never had a bad meal here and have been over 20x. Salads are large and well made. Only problem is they full up fast for lunch.

I eat lunch at Summer Thyme nearly weekly. Very good sandwiches and salads, perfect portions and an affordable price tag. The service is friendly and quick — about the only sit-down restaurant I have time for during my lunch hour — and if you don’t have time to sit, they are more than happy to take to-go orders. My favorites are probably their BBQ pork and chicken salad sandwiches. Their grilled chicken salads are also very good.

Courteous and prompt service. Reasonable prices and quality food. I had French Dip w/Swiss. Friend had Sunshine Wrap, others had grilled chicken salad. Each entrée was exactly to order. We didn’t realize they closed at 3:00 on Saturday, and found ourselves still chatting well past 3:30. The staff didn’t seem to mind(or at least didn’t make us THINK that they minded). Well recommended.

Healthy, tasty, and diverse menu choices. I usually order the daily quiche with pretzels and fruit. Several vegetarian options. Always busy at lunch time — I suggest getting there by 11:30 to avoid a wait. My only complaint is that it’s always a little chilly, so I try to remember to bring a sweater.

I love their Pecan Chicken Salad… yumm… Also, their homemade soups! Oh my! Their vegetable bread… WOW! I can’t say enough good things about this little café… I think you just have to find ‘your thing’ on their menu. I know when other family members of mine have ordered from their once and they weren’t impressed. I on the other hand have always been happy with what I am ordering.

Great food, AND Plainwell Ice Cream? I’m a fan, needless to say. I’ve been here several times for lunch, and haven’t been disappointed. The service was fast and friendly, and I could see that they kept up with the counter business they were doing with take-outs for lunch. The wraps I’ve had here are good and fresh, and of course, I can’t complain about Plainwell Ice Cream. :) It’s a nice, homey restaurant when you want something other than a greasy spoon or chain.

Terrible! What a waste of a dinner. The food was microwaved(I could have made better myself, and I don’t cook very often.). The server kept coughing and sneezing. We were ONE of TWO tables in the restaurant and it was still difficult to flag down the waitress. I ordered lemon merangue pie for dessert. I figured– how can you mess that up? ITWASFROZENANDFREEZER-BURNED. Yuck, just absolutely terrible restaurant. This was not a one-time experience I have actually had two horrible dinners here. It was also not cheap, so it was in no way a bargain even if the food would have been good. Go somewhere else! There are too many other restaurants in Kalamazoo!

Five Stars are not enough! The food is fantastic, the service is exceptional. What more could you need? I love their sandwiches, wraps, and soup. If you want something hot, their Chicken Taco Salad is fabulous. AND they also have Plainwell Ice Cream, something you need to experience to fully understand!
