Please call Leo at UIO 808−551−2269 as we are a mobile service to all veterinarians. If performed at Feather and Fur, no consultation fees at F& Fur.

Pregnancy verification and number of fetuses can be identified as early as 23 days from conception. DVD and reports are provided to owners to take back to their veterinarians. Ultrasound Health Scans for healthy pets are performed and interpreted by board certified radiologists with reports also sent to your veterinarian.

All scans must be ordered by your veterinarian.

History

Established in 1994.

Ultrasound Imaging Options first opened in 1994 in Kailua, providing services to both people and pets. In 1997, we went mobile offering services to veterinarians at their offices. In 2002, we were able to offer services to the outer islands, once the ultrasound equipment became light enough to fly. Today we still provide imaging for both people and pets on a mobile basis, but clients may also bring their animals to Feather and Fur Animal Clinic in Kailua. Just ask for Leo!

All exams are performed by appointment only and can be digitally transmitted to the veterinarian or veterinary radiologist of your choice.

Leo Stewart is a registered ARDMS sonogrpher with over 30 years experience and provides ultrasound services for people at their physician’s offices on a scheduled basis. She provides Abdominal, OB/​GYN, Vascular, and Superficial ultrasound scanning. Aortic Aneurysm screening, GB & Kidney screening, and ABI’s for diabetic management can also be scheduled at your doctor’s office.

Leo S.

Business Owner

Leo is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, with a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology from University of Louisiana at Monroe, with post graduate ultrasound and psychology education. She has over 20 years of experience in Abdominal, OB/​GYN, Vascular, Superfical Imaging and Veterinary Ultrasound. She has worked with Project Hope in the Caribbean, in Alaska, Louisiana, Michigan, Idaho, and other states. She has been in Hawaii since 1992 and has worked at Queen’s Medical Center, Kapi’olani, former Honolulu Medical Group, and other facilities. She has authored several articles in the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Advance for Radiology Imaging. She was the sonographer for the PLCO clinical trial by the National Institute of Health in Honolulu and developed the clinical and didactic ultrasound program for Grenada in the West Indies.
