We are a holistic healing sanctuary and vacation rental retreat facility. We have 5 rental spaces, from rooms to bungalows to a suite, ranging in price from $ 77 to $ 137 per night. We offer many styles of massage therapy, yoga and meditation classes, ongoing specialty classes in health and well-​being. We offer workshops and retreats in massage, yoga, meditation, raw and vegan cuisine, dance, etc. We are a vegan household.

We have a chlorine-​free pool and Jacuzzi, and an infra-​red sauna. We also have a wonderful 30′ diameter 12-​sided structure for our classes, dances, etc. We have over 200 fruit trees with over 2 dozen varieties of fruit, and extensive vegetable gardens. We are 100% organic.

We are less than 15 minutes to downtown Kona, and less than 20 minutes to the Kona International airport. We provide shuttle service for those who would rather not rent a car for an addt’l cost.

We are 1100′ elevation, but still only 15 – 20 minutes from some beautiful beaches. Come & visit us!

History

Established in 2011.

We started this phase of our business in December of 2011, but had already established the sanctuary many years before that. Now with the addition of the vacation rentals and the classes and workshops, we are able to serve many more people from all over the world.

Business Owner

Rae has a 30+ year history as a certified massage therapist in the state of California, and for the last 12 years was employed by Bodega Bay Lodge and Spa, where he was also exposed to the workings of running an upscale lodge. He took his natural skills of networking with his ability to work well with people and became the perfect third party for the owners of Banyan Tree, who had all been close friends prior to this business arrangement. Now each person associated with BTS can utilize their greatest gifts to create the sanctuary that we are all so happy to be a part.
