Julian Pines Country Cottage

A few friends decided to rent out a cabin so we could stay up in Julian for the star festival without having to drive all the way back down the mountain after. There was a mix-​up over a double booking because they had started using airbnb as well as their reservation system through their website, but Doc immediately fixed the situation. He refunded us, found us a place to stay for that night and made up for it with a free night. Great to know the owners are only a phone call away!
It’s a great little cabin that feels like someone’s home. The cupboards are stuffed with random things you might need– coffee, plastic utensils, condiments etc. There is a coffee machine and all the normal appliances you would find in a regular house.
Only a minute walk from the main strip. Great place to hide away for the weekend.

I had never been to Julian, CA. but decided to take a trip with my boyfriend for the weekend after hearing how quaint and fun it was. I looked around for places to stay and after checking out several hotels, I came across Julian Pines Cottage. It looked perfect for what we were searching for. We wanted something in town and found that most of the cottages and cabins were actually outside of town and you would have to drive into town to enjoy the day. We heard traffic there is kind of busy on the weekends and it wouldn’t be easy to find parking. Julian Pines Cottage is right in town and literally a minute and a half walk from the cabin to Main Street downtown. We ended up walking everywhere and avoiding traffic and parking! Upon checking in we were so excited over the quiet and rustic character. They have a full blown kitchen so we bought our food in town and found that the owners had thought of everything when it came to stocking the kitchen. They had complimentary teas, coffee, hot chocolate and all the condiments that you’d ever need. The rooms were warm and decorated nicely and the fireplace was fantastic for the cold nights. We will definitely be back and couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else but here.
