Beautiful gallery. Lots of local artists work on display! From oil paintings to hand carved tables and pottery. Was very pleased with the details they put into setting up the art and the comfortable atmosphere. There’s a couch to sit and relax on and an ice cream and sweet shop across the hall to grab a coffee or ice cream! Great place in an old historic building as well!

It’s a shop that calls itself a gallery. It’s not your traditional gallery — it’s very much organized as a retail space. I’m not sure how it’s curated but I suspect it’s more of a consignment type place. The art varies greatly in style and quality. There’s several mediums but oils and acrylic paintings outnumber everything else. It seems like some of the pieces get significant help from amazing frames but there were definitely a number of pieces from artists with different styles that held their own. If you’re nearby and are looking for original pieces, it’s worth a trip. Even if you don’t find what you’re looking for, I suspect it would be a good step into the local art scene to help find something that fits your style.

I agree with the other reviews! The building is beautiful, the gallery is well appointed, and the quality of the artwork is top shelf! The gallery is staffed by the artists themselves and they are eager to help you find what you need or to answer questions. I also love the fact that they have items of many varying price points! Everything from note cards and prints to large paintings. The artwork is mostly traditional, representational, and conservative but this is not a negative in that it suits the gallery and building very well. If you are visiting galleries in Joplin you must stop first at Local Color!
