Good drinks, but this is the longest wait ever for a supposed quick coffee. The ONLY reason I ever go here is that it’s the only Starbucks in the area and my parents keep sending me Starbucks gift cards for Christmas and birthdays. I timed my wait this time. When I got in line it was the other side of the building at the entrance. My total time until I pulled off was 12 minutes. This was on a Friday at 3pm.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I didn’t actually visit this location but was in town for three days and they were closed every day. A little bit of snowfall but nothing for a mountain town, like Johnson City. Next time I’m in town I will bypass this Starbucks and go to Panera, who likes my money.

The most unkind and slowest Starbucks I’ve EVER been to, and I’ve been to a lot. We waited in the drive-thru for 20 minutes with 5 – 6 cars for 1 drink. While I thought this was much longer compared to others, I still wasn’t mad, just a bit irritated. When I paid, I expected them to do like other stores before that have had some longer waits and apologize and possibly offer a free beverage. I received neither. Once my drink was handed over, I calmly and kindly said, «for what it’s worth, this was the longest at a Starbucks that I’ve ever had to wait for a coffee.» The baristas response is what blew me away. He said, and I quote, «Oh really?(sarcastically spoken.) I responded, «Yes.» And he said, «Make better choices.» I proceeded to drive off choosing not to give him satisfaction. But I will choose in the future to heed his advice and NOT return to his store. To make it even better I think he was the manager, because as I waited for my drink I saw him telling the baristas when to take breaks and writing the schedule out. Sad day in the Starbucks world!

I have been going to this location for years. It has many good and bad points and at different times the score would have been lower or higher — much has to do with the management and I know the staff works long hours many times short staffed. I landed on a four star because of the new Clover brewing system — my last two trips I tried the Clover coffee and it is really a superior cup of coffee — very well done Starbucks. still innovating. Many times I will order regular coffee and get a free refill which is a nice benefit. Downside is this is a very busy location with a small parking lot and a very long drive through line. I actually have better luck going in and getting coffee then the drive through many days and it clogs up the parking lot. The interior re-design is nicely done and makes it feel updated and more spacious. On nice days the outdoor sitting is great — very nice place to have a cup of joe. I am not that impressed with the hot prepared foods — this is an area that Starbucks still really needs to work on. I was there when they first starting serving them to great fanfare but they really have not kept it up and the price is not right for me. The baked goods are still quite good like the fat free muffins. I understand that many of them are locally sourced which makes me feel good about buying them. Overall this location is good although quite busy and can be slow to get service. The free internet is great and there are many students that study and gather here which is nice.

I come by this Starbucks at least once a week during my commute between Asheville and Lynchburg. These guys always take care of me even when it’s close to closing time. The staff is friendly, the drinks are always right, and the extra stuff is always stocked! One other thing that I like about this place is that there are always cool college kids studying their brains out in there.

I love this Starbucks and it is usually such a great place to meet up with friends but Sunday morning is not the time to go! We waited over 35 minutes for our drinks. While I understand it was busy, even a recognition of the long wait time with an apology would have been nice. The drinks were good as always but the long wait and lack of acknowledgment by the staff made it an unpleasant experience.

I love Starbucks. I go to this Starbucks because it is the only one nearby. By the time I get to the window I’m always questioning whether it’s worth the wait. If it weren’t for the consistency of the drinks and the convenience of the drive-thru I would never go to this particular store.

What can I say it’s Starbucks? Very tasty, over priced food and drinks. Nice atmosphere with the fire pit going. Staff is friendly. This location can be swamped sometimes with college students studying though.

Slowest Starbucks in the United States. If you feel like being late for work or enjoy sitting in your car with the other 20 people in line come on through.

«Mehh» That pretty much sums up my last few experiences at this location. Staff is always friendly and the facility is usually clean. However, they somehow are almost always out of bananas. Which is kind of a problem when the only thing non-coffee/tea related requires bananas. When I am able to order the orange mango smoothie, I’m a happy camper. However, I’ve been a sad camper 4 out of the 5 visits.

Quite possibly the slowest starbucks in the continental United States. The volume is nothing like the starbucks I used to frequent when living in Nashville, yet this one is twice as slow.

Starbucks in Johnson City, TN is located on Roan Street in north Johnson City. The parking lot is easy to miss and once you get into the parking lot finding a place in the morning hours can be a challenge. The service is excellent. The coffee was the typical Starbucks. The inside of this Starbucks is one of the largest we have ever been in. It was well maintained.

Nice and Clean Starbucks with usual décor. Nice service for the most part, but seriously how hard its to make an iced green tea sweetened with light ice? I’ve been here 3 times and all three time, my cup was full of ice and unsweetened. Seriously.

Very much like most Starbucks … quick, efficient and you get a hot(or cold) cup of coffee that looks like ever other cup you’ve had from Starbucks.

Nice and clean Starbucks. Too bad they don’t carry the mug collection. I stop here every time I’m in the area.

Love coming here for caramel macchiatos either iced or hot. and the addition of free wifi helps too!(well you’ve gotta register a starbucks card first) but that really isn’t much of a big deal. coffee drinks are still starbucks pricey but theres no where else you can get these types of drinks though.
