History

Established in 1972.

1972 – 1990 as Lady Bug Gallery, provided fine framing to the region.

1990– The gallery was bought by the current owner, Dick Nelson.

2001– moved Lady Bug Gallery to this current location, a 9000 sq. foot former furniture store in the historic downtown, changed the name to Nelson Fine Art and expanded to include regional art along with the fine framing.

2002-​started a monthly art show on First Friday paving the way for a Downtown wide celebration of art, music and food.

2007– opened Brew Plum Coffee Bar inside the gallery.

2014– More coming soon!

Owner of Nelson Fine Art, Dick N has been a fixture in downtown Johnson City, TN business district since 1990. Most proud of bringing art, custom picture framing and fine coffee to the region, he would rather let the drinks, frames, and art speak for him.
