Muse Salon and Spa

I was going here for a while and finally had enough.
My cuts and color range from pretty good to not impressive. Hair will look good for a few days, but then I notice uneven color.
Every single time I pay and try to book my next appointment (in 6 weeks), they’re booked. Then they offer an appointment in 4 weeks. I think they’re trying to get me in sooner so I pay more.
Also every time I’m there, I’m told «we don’t dry your hair, right?» I don’t know what gave them the impression that I want to spend $ 250 and leave looking like I just got out of the shower. When I say «yes, we do dry my hair,» they dry the top to «see the color.» My husband actually went in to a different stylist for a last-​minute cut on a day it was snowing, and they didn’t dry his hair either. He said it was freezing out and the girl let him leave with a wet head. I’ll never understand this concept that salons will let you leave looking worse than when you came in.
The final straw was last time I went, I cut off a decent bit. I didn’t like the bottom layers, and asked to have more cut. The stylist told me «let’s just see how it goes and we’ll cut more next time.» So then my head looked like a mushroom for the next several weeks. When I then went to a different place, she showed me a big uneven band of color across the back of my hair and also how unevenly my hair was cut. (I have fine straight hair — it’s not hard to cut.)
Prices are going up while quality is going down.

I had such a great experience at Muse Salon! I’m new to the area and I walked in after doing my research. Victoria was my hair stylist and she really took the time to listen to what I wanted done with my hair. I’m super particular about my long hair and she did such a great color job and gave me an amazing dry cut with long layers. Her blow dry and finishing work was red carpet worthy!!!
The salon is pristine and the atmosphere is inviting. From the interaction with the front desk down to the products that they use (Kerastase) I felt totally taken care of and pampered. Will definitely be returning for another appointment with Victoria!

at Muse was a great one today, and it always is. I had my hair cut and styled today by Starr Parker. She is professional, listens to your wants and needs, and she is also a fun gal. I am so happy to have found her and I highly recommend her if you’re looking for a new stylist with A LOT of experience and knowledge. She did wonders with my hair today! I can’t wait to go back for a new fall «do»!

I had an appointment today first timer. I needed to make a change from Toni and guy after several years of being a faithful client. Due to communications there I felt a change was necessary. I am so pleased with Megan C.
At this very professional salon and the cut and style. She also does color which I will be back for. Can’t thank her enough !

Experience and results alone are not enough to share about Muse Salon and Spa. As a recently new client who caught the buzz from friends’ FB posts and accolades, I decided to check it out. Not only did I leave with the most masterful transformation of my hair and a plan to maintain and repair my damaged hair, I understood the passion of excellence for the industry and commitment to the community where they served. Every moment that you are in the salon, the staff dedicates themselves to make sure you are 100% pampered, listened to, and leave feeling like a movie star. Daniel is a ninja at masterful hair design and his staff has raised the bar from any other salon experience I’ve ever had before. I couldn’t recommend this salon any higher.

I’m not even sure where to start! I guess I’ll start at the top. Daniel and Jody, the owners, have a gift for management, design, all salon and spa services, amazing work ethics, and positive attitudes. They also hire great people. I’ve had many services at this salon with several employees over the years and my experience began when I was panicked over my once nice hair that I felt had completely changed in texture due to aging. Yes, the dreaded old lady hair! I went to Muse and in an hour, with a new shampoo and conditioner in hand, my hair was cured! You might laugh, but it’s true, and my hair was forever changed. I’m truly grateful to my friend Frances for referring me to there. I’ve referred many people to Muse over the years and they have had the same excellent results. Go there once, you’ll be customers for life!

OK so i go to my wife’s salon for hair cuts. Try it, you’ll like it.
Walk in and walk around. The place is absolutely gorgeous! The detail to design, lighting and comfort is amazing.
The best part is that the detail continues to what’s important, their services. I recently needed a haircut badly and was scheduled to speak to a large conference the next day. Daniel met me at an ungodly hour and my hair still looks great 4 weeks later.
If you live in GA, this is the place you have been looking for but schedule early, these folks are great and popular.

This is the worst experience I have EVER had at a salon. I arrived for my appointment 15 minutes early and checked in at the reception desk. My appointment was early and they weren’t too busy so I assumed they would take me right back. I literally sat there for 30 minutes while other customers came and went. When I finally went back to the reception desk to ask why there was such a wait, the same woman who had checked me in looked at me and said, «have you checked in yet?» Really?!? Finally my stylist appears and apologizes for the wait blah blah blah. She was nice enough but did not listen to a word I said. Instead of taking 2 inches off my hair she took between 4 and 5. I left there so angry and so upset, not to mention that my fantastic sams quality haircut cost me $ 60. I suppose I did not come across as Johns Creek royalty or important enough to get a better quality of service but I will never go back to this salon nor recommend them to anyone. I also work in a customer service oriented business and they have not only lost me as a customer but have encouraged me to dissuade anyone from going there. I eventually had to go to another stylist at anther salon to fix my horrible haircut. The other stylist was shocked at what this woman had done to my hair. What a joke!

Sandi has been doing my hair for years and all I can say is that she is amazing. Unfortunately she left the salon in NJ where I was going to and moved to Georgia. She is a true artist in her field. She will never disappoint anyone in her chair and will be a great addition to her new salon.

Excellent salon! I moved to GA from chicago and have been looking for a great salon with a professional talented staff and I found it!!, I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel (Creative Director) and he was absolutely fantastic! I am elated with my haircut, very stylish and modern! Living in chicago, I had the opportunity to frequent very upscale salons where cuts were over 300.00! By far Daniel is far more creative and talented. I hope Daniel doesn’t read this and up his prices, LOL!
Daniel was very friendly, personable and truly cares about satisfying his clients. What a wonderful person!
The complementary makeup application was great and I plan on exploring that area during my next visit.
Everyone is friendly and attentive to all clients. The atmosphere is modern and very impressive. The prices are reasonable for the services that are provided!

I came to muse to get something different. I am the best color of red I’ve ever been. Took 5 years off my look. Never had more compliments on my hair.

I was referred to Muse when looking for someone to do onsite hair and makeup for my upcoming wedding. I decided to try them out for a highlight and eyebrow wax yesterday, and I was blown away. And not just by the amazing blowout my stylist gave me!
First off — the salon is beautiful! I was amazed by how big it is and how well laid-​out. It’s brand new and you can tell it was designed by pure passion. I was impressed just walking in the door. You know it’s always kinda scary for a woman to change salons and stylists — you never know what you will get. Walking in I just knew I’d made the right decision!
The person who referred me didn’t give me a stylist name to see, so when I called (rather last minute — Tuesday for a Friday appointment during the holidays) I said I’d take anyone. Elicia did my eyebrows and Kailin did my hair.
The waxing room was in the back, so I got to walk through the salon and see it all right from the beginning. I knew when I lied on the fleece-​lined table for my eyebrow wax that this would be good. And seriously — Elicia did an awesome job! My eyebrows look better than they have in years.
I was then handed off to Kailin for my hair and he was just such a delight! I told him he had free creative reign on the color and couldn’t wait to see what he came up with. I’m pretty easy to please, but the vibe I got walking in the salon made me completely comfortable with the decision to let him be the artist he very much is.
I’d done my research and read Muse’s entire website before booking, so I was surprised to see that the owners were very much present that day. Their clients really seem to love them, which I saw as they walked through the salon.
In the end — my hair was amazing! It looked better than it ever has. Ever in life. That’s kinda big! Kailin blowed it to perfection! I refused to look in the mirror until it was all done because I wanted it to feel like a makeover reveal and it totally did. All day long I kept touching it and looking at myself in the mirror. It was seriously that great!
I have found my new salon and — more importantly — my new stylist, Kailin. Yes, it’s more expensive than the one I used to go to, but you get what you pay for and I am not at all mad at the fact that I might need to give up a few bottles of wine every 6 weeks to maintain that amazing feeling I had walking out of there.
Turns out Kailin doesn’t do wedding hair, but he is also a makeup artist, so I intend to do my best to nail him down for my upcoming wedding. And hopefully I can find someone to do my hair now, too.

I posted this update on the listing for the old location. I guess they started a new listing for the new location. Anyhow, here is my review:
I just wanted to update my review of Muse Salon, which has moved recently to Hwy 141/​Medlock Bridge Rd. I am still seeing Ashlee and she is still amazing. In fact, I bumped into her in the coffee shop. She not only remembered me, but remembered that I had an appointment the next week.
She recently took my hair from a brassy blond to a warm chocolate/​red. It looks so good and I’m so glad that I trusted Ashlee enough to make such a big change.
I also enjoyed the complementary makeup touch-​up. The makeup artist showed me some new colors that would look good with my red hair. He wasn’t pushy or salesly. It truly is a complementary service. I did end up buying a new green eye shadow from their Youngblood line, which I have enjoyed.
Their new digs are beautiful and intentionally designed. I still feel like a treasured customer.

I love living in the suburbs, and I love even more the faux-​city life in the suburbs. Muse has really stepped it up when they relocated to this new area! You get high end service in the most beautifully designed salon ever, plenty of parking, all with welcoming southern hospitality.
So, what else has changed, you ask? The hair wash experience is out of this world. The hair wash station is now in its own separate room with relaxing spa music, and you sit in a chair that will vibrate and squeeze you into a coma. It’s a cryin’ shame that you can’t just sit there for hours.
If you’ve never been here before, definitely give it shot. Not only will it be an enjoyable experience, you’ll walk out of here looking and feeling like A Somebody.
