History
Established in 2004.
Congregation Dor Tamid is a Reform Congregation and a member of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ). Established in July 2004, CDT is a community formed from the merging of two synagogues — Congregation B’nai Dorot and Temple Shir Shalom. Congregation Dor Tamid, «Eternal Generation», has grown from a small group of worshippers into a thriving congregation with a strong presence in the North Fulton and Gwinnett and Forsyth Counties area. Congregation Dor Tamid was established to create a welcoming environment that inspires, promotes, and educates the Reform Jewish community through strong religious leadership, dedication to the study of Torah, and dedication to the traditions of Jewish family life.
