The service is not much to write home about here but the quality of food and it’s good location earns the 3 stars.

The burgers. Don’t come here without getting one of the burgers from their menu. Obviously order is medium rare, or don’t even bother. Amazing burgers. Wash it down with a nice cold beer(even if it’s a Schaefer) and you’ve got a perfect workday lunch.

Quaint neighborhood pub with a good menu. Several at my table ordered beer flights. When i went to order my beverage, i asked if they served Coke or Pepsi, the server said Coke so i went ahead and ordered one. When i tasted it, i let the server knew it wasn’t Coke, and either it was something else or their lines were dirty. She said she’d get me a new ore. The owner was having dinner nearby and came over to let me know, they don’t serve coke, it’s another brand i want familiar with. Uh, if I’d known, i wouldn’t have ordered it. And for the server but to tell me even when i mentioned it tasted wrong, is jus poor. My lobster salad was good. The bacon was different but flavorful.

So I found this spot on Unilocal while visiting some family in JC and thought we would give it a shot. I love me some gastropubs, and whenever I find a a high rated one, I beeline right to it. The location is a nice open floorplan bar with a trendy atmosphere… Usually I’m a fan of a dining area that’s more separate from the bar but it’s just my personal preference so I won’t be docking any stars As for the food, it was really good! I had the black dog burger which was stellar… It’s rare when that many things piled on a burger work, but in this case it meshed perfectly. My wifey had the ribeye sliders which she though were very good as well. Overall, great spot in downtown JC.

Awesome food and atmosphere. The goat cheese bruschetta here is probably the best I have ever had. This place is a MUST try on Tuesday nights for their all you can eat mussels for TENDOLLARS and half price bottles of wine!!! One of my favorite happy hour spots for sure!

Came here for my birthday earlier this month and had a great experience. We had a lunch reservation of 12, and they had no problem accommodating us(and another group of 12 next to us). Impressive. The server was friendly, prompt, and did very well dealing with such a large party. All 12 people really enjoyed their food. I got the Dry-Aged Ribeye Sliders and they were some of the most flavorful burgers I’ve had. Thick and juicy with caramelized onions… taste explosion. I’m going to have a hard time not just re-ordering those on my next visit, but after that I want to try everything on the menu.

The«other» Park&Sixth… smaller, maybe a bit more upscale than the newly relocated original, dimly lit spot close to home. Different location, same result: BURGERS. Yea, my wife had a nice lobster salad one time and something else another time that I am sure was delicious. I just can’t get past the dry aged wagyu burger with caramelized onions and brie on a pretzel bun. It’s a heavy hitter of flavor and sits just as heavy in the tummy, but damn it’s good.

The food was scrumptious. I love tapas and small plates because you can have a little of everything, and that’s exactly what my family and I did. We munched on: Oysters(a little of Biggie + Tupac), wings, dry-aged ribeye sliders, crab cake, scallop tacos, and the philly cheese steak spring rolls. Yes, I had a little of everything. I have a big appetite. Each dish was very tasty and cooked to perfection which caught my family by pleasant surprise, but not me. I do my research.

I like this place better than the Park & Sixth on Grove street. I am not sure if they are by the same group since the menus are completely different. The menu is relatively limited but what they do make, they make well. Had the burgers both times I was here and I wasn’t disappointed. I went with the public opinion( Unilocal Reviews) at this place and tried the tater tots and chicken wings. They were pretty good haven’t tried anything else so can’t comment if there is anything better. Word of warning though. Vegetarians stay away. The limited menu has even more limited vegetarians options.

By far one of the best restaurants in jc. We’ve come a few times and always have a great experience. All of their food options are delicious. We’ve tried a few of their burgers and salads and they have always been cooked perfectly with lots of flavor. Would recommend to anyone

Quaint brunch spot in Jersey City. They have a live band as of 12, however I did miss them. Area has a lot of potential, however at 11AM it was pretty low key. Waiters were well attentive & helped answer questions on the menu. I went for a Bloody Mary and The Pescado sandwich. Good was great, with a cute fry cart on the plate however I was very disappointed with the Bloody Mary. By the taste of it, it lacked any tomato juice and the proportions were very off. With that said on the beverage front, the food was a pleasure and I can easily say that the menu provided fairly interesting & unexpected options that leave me curious enough to want to come back. Definitely not a place I need to exclude from future brunch/lunch/or dinner plans!

Came here on a Friday night around 8pm. The place wasn’t full at all — yet the service was exceedingly slow. We ordered the Philly Cheese Spring Rolls and Risotto to start. Both very rich and pretty good & artery clogging. For entrees we ordered 2 burgers which took an excruciating amount of time to receive. I mean — 3 beers complete and STILL no food kind of delay. This is my worst nightmare service experience. Nothing wrong with the food, but come on! Service matters just as much and this service experience was just unacceptable.

Me and my buddy came in to try some fresh American gastro cuisine and we were not disappointed. The bar itself is very traditional, with outdoor seating as well as a cozy indoor dining area. The staff were all very friendly and seating and service were great. The menu is VERY small. Which isn’t always a bad thing, but the choices left me wanting more. And a mix of dishes and cuisines seemed a little confusing at times, from caprese salad to Mac and cheese to aged smoked beef burgers, it seemed kind of all over the place. I ordered the fresh mozzarella and tomato basil salad… Probably the best fresh mozz I’ve ever had in NJ. The tomatoes were cut too large for my liking and I had to cut them down. The balsamic vinaigrette was delicious as well, but there wasn’t enough on the plate. I had some of my buddy’s burger and it was indeed just as good. Very tasty, fresh flavors. While the food was great, we opted to continue into the rest of our restaurant visits because of one big problem. The pricing was quite high for the size, dish type and portion. All the items are in the $ 12 – 18 range whether they be a tapas sized Mac and cheese or something else. I understand that rent prices sometimes bleed out onto the menu, but unfortunately the pricing of these small, albeit tasty, dishes would keep me from becoming a regular.

This place is becoming one of my favorite spots to eat in JC. I have come back multiple times and enjoyed what we ordered every visit. Best part about this place is that it’s not super crowded. Either that or I may be going in off-peak times. Some things to order: Steak frites — My boyfriend ordered this twice and it was equally good each time. The steak was just as juicy as the first time, the fries just as crispy. They use rib-eye for their steak. The preparation is better than most steakhouses. Gooey Brie Mac n Cheese — Just as the name describes. Yummy. Butternut Squash Risotto — This is one of their small plates, but I think it’s large enough to be a meal, for me at least. The risotto is creamy from the butternut squash with a sizeable amount of Italian sausage. Panko crusted scallops — I never had scallops in a taco before. It comes 2 in an order and makes a good appetizer. The crispy vegetables combined well with crispy scallops. Pan Seared Scallops, Shiitake Mushroom Risotto, Sauteed Spinach — This was one of their specials. The risotto was really delicious and permeated with mushroom flavor. Scallops were on the small side, but were nicely seared. Banana bread pudding — This was more like bread pudding w/bananas on top, with the bananas not really baked in, or using banana bread. Pecan pie — Sticky, gooey, what you expect from a pecan pie.

Sometimes, good restaurants and good waiters have bad nights. I think this was a bad night for our waiter. We went with some friends and my wife and I ordered the Dry-Aged Wagyu Burger. sounds delicious right? Totally woudl have been if our waiter had put the order in, or someone lost it. Our friends got their food, and somehow, we did not. We told our friends to go ahead and eat, so they started while the kitchen rushed to make us our burgers. I’m not sure how our order got missed or lost, but the waiter ws obviously very apologetic and we ended up getting a few drinks as a token of apology. That was very nice of them, and they do have a great craft beer selection. Our burgers were actually pretty amazing and huge. I also ordered a side of Farro Hash, and holy moly, that stuff was amazing. I could eat that all day. Now, I wasn’t quite sure what farro was, I was kinda hoping for some weird animal or animal part(since I eat all that stuff anyway) because I’m familiar with corned beef hash, but alas, it’s some kind of wheat. it actually reminded me a lot of Israeli couscous. I did order it mostly because of so many mentions in Unilocal!reviews though. My wife got fries with her burger and then asked for some ketchup and mustard. The waiter again failed to deliver, so she chased him down and followed him until he gave her some. After we finished dinner, one of my friends ordered a cappuccino, and that never came. The next time I come to JC, I would love to eat here again. I can’t say that we had the best service, but it was a very busy night in there, and stuff like that happens. I would love to try some of the other menu items. Our food was all amazing, and our friends who frequent Park and 6th Gastropub said that this was the first time that the service was not great.

My friend and I weren’t particularly hungry so we decided to order multiple small plates to try. Philly Cheesesteak Spring Rolls were good but I expected them to be amazing based on the reviews I saw on Unilocal Garlic Pepper Fries pretty darn good but not worth $ 6 in my opinion Signature Wings were very flavorful and definitely something I would order again Braised Brisket — the meat was very tender and I enjoyed the pairing with the mashed potatoes. This was listed on the menu as a small plate but you could probably order this for your entrée Roasted Cauliflower was tangy and the portions were pretty generous Sangria — Light and sweet but very refreshing; $ 22 per carafe(I think it’s $ 8-$ 9 if you order by the glass so it’s totally worth it if you plan to have more than 2 glasses or want to share with a friend). Service was good too. The waitstaff was very attentive and overall we had a very enjoyable meal.

Damn you JC, I miss you more every time I go back. Park & Sixth has such a great atmosphere, it seemed to be brimming with locals and that’s definitely the vibe I like and one that made me wish I still lived in the area! I really, really enjoyed my Berry Stormy and Salmon Burger recently and will make it out here again sooner than later… perhaps for some live music or that brunch everyone seems to be talking about.

I’ve still yet to go to the Park & Sixth on Grove, but liking what I saw of the more upscale(?) gastropub. Décor is cozy, decked out in dark wood walls covered with memorabilia and adorned with candlelight. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable and, thankfully, food is far from an afterthought. I went with a friend on a chilly Tuesday night, which featured the all-you-can-eat mussels special. We started with an order of tots and a small plate of butternut squash risotto. The risotto was cooked perfectly, providing just enough bite and a rich, creamy broth, topped with slices of sweet Italian sausage. The tots were definitely unique: mini croquettes of mashed potato, cheddar and goat cheese, fried and served with a sriracha ketchup. The texture wasn’t what you’d expect and could’ve used a lot more crunch but the flavours were superb and the ketchup provided enough zing to cut through the cheese. We moved onto larger dishes: I opted for the mussles in white wine sauce while she scored a dish of mac & cheese. The plate of mussles wasn’t lacking in bivalves, though the sauce was thin and pretty bland. The mac & cheese, though, fared better: a brie-heavy mix of cheese, pasta, and panko that didn’t overwhelm.

Great place for food and drinks while watching a game. There’s a time and place for a dive bar w wings and beer. Definitely good to have a «gastropub» in the neighborhood is a breathe of fresh air. The menu’s concept is impressive. You can definitely tell the individual or individuals who put it together love to eat. It’s a combination of well loved nouveau gastropub fair around the world. Here’s the problem, the execution of the dishes is very poor. I wonder if the cooks/chefs taste their own food. I had the big mama burger which is a patty with hanger steak and corned beef. Even with all the salt in the corned beef, the party was very bland. They need to salt and pepper before cooking. Also the patty was very greasy which notates that it’s either cooked on a grill or they don’t clean the griddle/skillet. Burgers should be cooked on a griddle//skillet, in my opinion. It comes with a runny egg which is a rip off of other restaurants, but their execution was poor at best. Before it came to the table somebody broke the yoke and it was cold. I felt the run off yoke and it was ice cold. Once again had they seasoned the food it would have still been a good meal. Poor execution Dianna had the lobster BLT. They didn’t dry off the lobster before serving there for the sandwich was very bland. Very little mayo, in my opinion in a BLT the mayo is a very crucial component of the flavor profile. Bacon was tasteless, almost as if it was cooked couple of days ago and it was warmed up prior to service. The saving grace of the sandwich was the baguette, which was definitely of high quality. Dianna also ordered the Moscow mule which was a combination of house vodka, lime juice and ginger beer. Once again they don’t taste their own product. Nothing really sang out in the combination. It wasn’t sweet or limy or anything. Great concept, poor execution. The whole experience was saved by the expertise of preparation of the French fries. Once again it’s so easy to prepare something so simple so poorly and they didn’t make that mistake. Well cooked. Once again, the wait staff needs to understand that their job is so important again. They were too busy to turn tables even when the place as empty. Maybe they didn’t like me. Who knows. They really need to step their game up. If they pay a little more attention, their food would be banging. Holiday music selection was magical. Also the couple next to us with their two kids were awesome. Their 5 yo son even said that he didn’t taste the cheese on the cheese fries. They really need to taste their food before they send it out.

What an upgrade from the old York Street. The set up is nice and cozy and the food is quite good. I’ve been here way too many times for fifty cent wing Wednesday’s that I’m pretty sure Rocco the MVP of the staff gets concerned when I don’t come(signature style wings is the way to go. Honey Gorgonzola is pretty good, too, but I usually stick with what I love). It’s become a weekly go to for me and my girlfriends. Good wings, good beer/wine…why not? But of course there’s more to P&6th wings. Every dish I’ve tried has been good. The dry-aged ribeye sliders are AWESOME and so are the cheesesteak egg rolls. They’re accommodating to big groups so whenever I plan a quick, little get together, it’s always a no-brainer to make a reservation here. I love ordering tons of food and sharing it family style to get my hands on everything(and I do the same at the Grove street restaurant as well). Why not? Every dish is good so why not get a little bit of everything! Try their sangria. It’s one of the best I’ve ever had.
