Dive Bar but very clean. Empty most of the time. No ambiance and it is located in a major business shopping area. watered down drinks which are measured with tiny shot glass before being poured. Prices, including draft and bottled beer, are too high for a dive bar. Inexperienced bartenders. many flat TV screens for watching sports. Internet jukebox. Nothing to write home about or spend too much time in.

If you’re looking for a dive bar this is it. The service is good but then I’m a regular so I get great service. Many restaurants in the area will deliver if the restaurant downstairs, which isn’t bad, isn’t open. Drinks are cheap and poured well. Overall, it’s a great spot for an after work drink or a late night, night cap.

This is a dive bar with a very mixed crowd! You often find commuters having a quick drink before they have to catch the bus or train… A very convenient location with very friendly staff! If you see Violeta, say hello! She’s attentive, charming and always has a smile ready with your drink :) Go in without expectations and you’ll be happy.

This place is the worst. Make sure you have no disabilities if you go here, if you do you will not be served and escorted to the door.

I’ve heard its a great place unless you’re blind. Then they refuse to serve you because apparently you’re some sort of risk. I know, it sounds weird, but I think it’s just because they’re a bunch of bigots.

Discrimination took place at this pub tonight. Do not give this bar any business. We had been going to this bar for 10 years. My friend, who is legally blind was refused service because they did not feel it was in his best judgement to drink and be blind. They never refused him before, it was his first beer of the night after having worked a long hard day. The waitress when questioned was very disrespectful and ignorant to the laws. She didn’t just refuse service to my friend, she made him feel less than. That is worst thing you can do to a human being let alone a customer of many years. Karma will haunt you.

Never had a problem with this place until they refused service to a friend because he was blind and/or Scottish. I think it is disgusting that a hard working man, who I know works incredibly long shifts to support his wife and family, who I know travels to work in the city unaided, who I know is famed at Celtic hostelries the length and breadth of the Isle of Manhattan, and is welcomed with open arms at each and every one of them as well as almost every bar here, in our own fair satellite of Jersey City. When another friend called to complain the manager told her«It’s a high traffic area, he’s blind & drinking, I think he’s using poor judgment.». I will drink a pint of my own piss before a I put single foot inside this den of duncery again.

DISCRIMINATORYSERVICE The great American dive bar is one of those unfailing traditions that can make a bad day go away and create just the right setting to pass the time in good company. One of the ways it does this is by opening their doors to everyone and creating a relaxed, non-judgmental and informal atmosphere. JSQ pub ranked high in this tradition, but definitely NOTTONIGHT. Tonight, a legally blind man entered to have one drink after a 50-hour work week and was told he would not be served. When questioned about whether or not it had to do with his eyesight, they said they could not take any chances. Friends called to ask why he was refused and were told that he was irresponsible to have a drink with his disability. This is man is an able-bodied, intelligent, responsible, good-hearted, quick-witted and brave family man. Every day there are challenges, some of which are common to us all and some of which leave the playing ground, quite uneven. To be told he does not have access and is not equal, is NOT right. Do not visit this bar, until they set things right.

my favorite place where you are most likely to get murdered. Cheap, mostly friendly. Someone kept telling me to order food from there but I am smarter than that.

4 bucks in the juke box, and no music. Then I hear a bunch of crap from the bartender after asking if the juke box worked. All I asked was«is the juke box player working?», in a respectful way. It was a white crowd anyways, I’ll never be back there again! She had her townies to preach to after my question. When I go there, she’s always drinking, and wasted as an obvious coincidence.

I asked YoSteph if there was a bar where Amal D and I could pre-game the Mana Contemporary Elite Event… and she said hit up the bar next to Boulevard Drinks. Holy shit. What a crap hole dive bar… and I mean that as a compliment. Patrons consisting of parolee-look-a-likes, 60-year-old couples dressed like they belong in Havana Cuba, circa the 1930’s, homeless-ish homeboys just hawking the scene… and the bar tender looked exactly like The Fabulous Moolah(google her)…holy shit. I really don’t give a dayum… our 4 vodka/sodas were $ 18 total… yup, that’s $ 4.50 each, you mathletes. I love this prison bar.
