2 Way Limo & Taxi

I used this car service for a year and it became from really good to the worst experience i have had.

Booked 2 Way Limo & Taxi for an airport drop off and pickup for a recent vacation, and several problems cropped up during the rides, with incredibly rude customer service from the owner to boot.
First trip to Newark Airport:
–Driver was 10 minutes late.
–The rubber molding/​insulation on rear passenger door fell off when we opened the door, so the driver asked us to get in on the other side.
–The driver’s window would not go up without assistance, and the driver had to coax it up by hand to get it to close.
–We had to direct the driver where to go to get to the NJ Turnpike because he did not have a properly functioning GPS.
–The driver didn’t know the area, and got lost in the Newark Airport area — we circled around the airport for 15 minutes before finally arriving at our terminal.
–The music was entirely too loud for 5 a.m.
While it wasn’t the most ideal trip (we were 25 minutes later than we anticipated), and aside from all the problems, the driver was very courteous and apologized incessantly for being late, for the door and for wasting time getting lost near the airport. He waived the fee for the tolls. We gave him a nice tip for that.
Second trip returning from LaGuardia Airport:
–Our plane arrived late (which should all but guarantee the driver would be there, waiting) and the driver called when we landed, informing us where to meet him. We went to the location and waited 10 – 15 minutes in about 15 degree weather.
–Driver kept the window cracked open for roughly 20 minutes before we had to ask him to shut it (again, about 15 degrees outside).
–Driver missed the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel, and had to circle around on the West Side, getting caught in overnight construction, adding 20 minutes to our trip.
–Again, loud music, but I suppose Rihanna can only be enjoyed at one volume, right?
–Again, an improperly working GPS led to us not only getting caught in a construction zone in NYC, but then we had to direct the driver to our home in New Jersey.
As was the same with the first trip, this driver was very nice and courteous, but all of the little things that happened made for a terrible experience.
I called the company the following day to discuss the issues and ensure we were not overcharged for our trip (the driver told us $ 69, but we thought we heard $ 59 on the phone when we booked). I was told a manager would call me back. I never heard from anyone.
Then I see the below response from the owner to «Jennifer B» (my wife), refuting every single claim we made, dismissing our entire experience as us inventing these claims. Instead of calling me back to discuss and even perhaps apologize, we were ignored, so we took to Unilocal.
I just got off the phone with the owner, and she reaffirmed everything wrong with this company and its management. She was rude on the phone, denying every single thing we were saying, and spent half of the call talking over me. I get that she was not there and only knows what she was told by her drivers, but to barely hear me out with any kind of compassion was unbelievable. The customer is not always right at 2 Way.
We initially thought we were overcharged for the tolls, but that was explained clearly and was our mistake, but among all of the other denials, she said the door in her car sometimes has the molding/​insulation fall off as well, which I guess makes it OK for her customers.
She also said all of their prices end in either 5 or 0 ($ 50, $ 55, $ 60, etc.), but we were charged a flat rate ending in 9 both ways ($ 69 coming home and I believe $ 59 going, can’t quite remember). Point is, they didn’t end in a 5 or 0 for either trip, so the prices being quoted are different from what the owner is aware of.
Bottom line, I will never, ever use this service again, and am writing this to make sure others can avoid a similar experience. There are a thousand car companies with service to the NYC airports. Do your research and be smart.
Also, I’m expecting a long rant from the owner refuting all of this. As mentioned, her drivers seem to tell her a much different version of how things actually happened. Just check out some of the responses from the company to other comments.

Do the extra research and find a better car service company. You deserve better than this, I promise.
I booked round-​trip service to/​from the airport for a vacation…

–both cars were somewhat broken; one of the doors fell apart when you opened it; the other one had a faulty window that stayed open… in 15 degree weather.
–neither driver knew their way around the area.
–neither driver had a functioning GPS.
–one driver took us 15 minutes out of the way because he got lost on the way to the airport.
–both drivers had music BLASTING.
Will never use this service again!

Called this company on a friend’s recommendation. First impressions — the car was 15 min late and i was very clear over the phone that I had to get to the airport asap! So that is minus 1 star. The car is a little old… the door doesn’t open from the outside. The driver was pleasant.

I always hesitate to leave a bad review, but the guys at 2Way Limo and Taxi did as poor of a job as can be imagined for a car service. One star at most.
Imagine you’re catching an early flight for work, and you need a pickup at 5:30am. I was looking for a new car service since my other guys are sometimes late at the airport and have some shady drivers, so I checked Unilocal and found 2Way. I called the day before, made appointments for a pickup at 5:30am and for my return trip home, confirmed all the details, and hung up. I should have called someone else.
The morning of the supposed pickup is best summarized by this scene: It’s 5:40am, 10 minutes after my 2Way ride was supposed to pick me up. Imagine yourself, standing outside your apartment, with no car to pick you up and nobody answering your call to 2Way, and then finding out that their mailbox is full and you can’t even leave them a message to tell them how pissed you are they left you high and dry at 5:30am. That can be you if you book with these guys!
I hate to leave a bad review, but when you earn it like 2Way did, they left me little choice. On to the next car service…

I tried this car service last week, after my usual car service was unfortunately fully booked. Despite my previous experience. I needed a car at 5.30am to drop me off at Laguardia. The car showed up in time, and that was unfortunately the only positive thing. First of all, the car was a mess. Different color panels showed an at least 10year old family vehicle, with broken suspension. When I entered the car, the driver was smoking and he kept smoking while we were driving. It was still dark and after a few miles I had to remind him to turn on the lights. Despite the website showing the option to pay with credit card, the driver told me it was not possible, so we also had to stop at an ATM. When entering the lincoln tunnel he turned towards me and asked for cash. He didn’t have any petty cash to pay in advance. I had to navigate him to the airport, despite the navigation unit on the passenger seat. He started to talk about his medication and how he had to change jobs to hardly make any money. 2way, you can’t be serious! If you hire independents, do some kind of screening to establish some standards. And update your website, since last time, the prices are still not up to date.

Still great service at 2Way! I have to rave about the care taken to ensure my safe, timely trip to and from Newark Airport. Hassan set me up with a car both times, and had someone waiting after we landed. The price was okay ($ 27 to/​from Jersey City). My only complaint is that, initially, both drivers did not try to help us with bags. I shouldn’t have to ask a driver for help with suitcases.
Overally, the drivers are on time and cars are clean. You can’t beat that!

I love this place, tho i have only used ‘em once so far. I was searching for a last-​minute reservation (around 1am at night) for pickup from Newark airport and they were one of the few options available since they are 24-​hours.
Not very expensive either! $ 48 for a trip from the airport to my place. They requested that I call once I landed so they can give me the location to meet the driver. I would have preferred that he meet me in the arrival doors, but they directed me instead to the 3^rd FL (where departures were).

These guys did a good job. Both drivers were on time and very polite to me and my wife. For thirty bucks they did a good job. The second driver who picked us up at the airport drove way too fast for me to consider appropriate. Especially when there is precious cargo in the car. Namely my wife, but hey he got us home quickly and knew where he was going. Its a good service and I would recommend them for a Jersey City ride to the airport. Maybe not a special event but an A to B trip for sure.

Unreliable. They were 40 minutes late and non apologetic. I had to drive myself to the airport to not miss my flight. I can NOT reccomend this car service. They’ve been late before. Save yourself the trouble.

I found this car service by googling jersey city to EWR. I took a blind chance, and was happy I did. This will be my go to car service. The price is fair, cars are clean, and staff is super friendly. Customer service seems to be their top priority. I’m a happy camper!

I recently moved from Texas to Jersey City so car service is something new to me. I’ve had to go to and from Newark Airport many times this year for myself and guests. Overall experience with various services has been fair to poor. Some people are rude up here and I prefer to give my money to a company that seems to appreciate my business.
I found 2 way limo by a google search that promised a $ 25 fare from EWR to Jersey City. I called up the number and made a reservation with the usual flight number, time and phone number info. When I landed I called to confirm. We picked up our baggage at the lowest level and met the car at the upper level. The driver was very friendly and we had a pleasant conversation during the trip.
I needed to call the operator a few times to get to the right pickup spot, I didn’t realize there were three levels at the terminal. She was friendly each time I called.
All these things are standard to using a car service, but I’ve had bad experiences with other companies over the past year during each step of the process. It’s worth mentioning that everything went better than expected.
Friendly, on time, great price. I can’t ask for anything more. I will continue to use them as long as the service stays great!
