A shout out to Harry who helped me with shelving and Donnie in the tile department both who took the time to help, talked with respect and a smile and seemed to really care about what I was looking for. Thank you thank you!

This place has become a huge supermarket.
People bring in their familes for a day out at Home Depot.
Prices stink and are way too high.
Lowe’s is not any better but if i have a choice i’ll go to Lowe’s.

Three stars for just being OK.
I was nearby and needed some picture hanging wire and some other picture hanging things, so I figure what they hay, let’s see what they have at this place.
I did find a nice employee in the picture wire area who was sort of helpful with my predicament of what to use to hammer into concrete walls. Then of course a customer with 25 years experience in «concrete» chimed into the conversation to give his view points on my situation. I don’t know all the correct terms for the items, except wood screws versus other screws etc., but I took myself down to the wall anchor area and started looking there thinking these things also might work for the job. Mr. 25 years of experience sort of followed me there and then again started with his version of what to do. What’s seemed like a few minutes of this anchor or that anchor, I made a choice, told Mr. Concrete man thank you, and started to walk away at which time I think this guy started to hit on me cause he was asking me where I lived, if I lived nearby etc. Is Home Depot the new pick up spot for the mature crowd? Thankfully «G» arrived on scene from his store perusing and we were off to check out.
Checkout, well that can lead to life long trauma and flashbacks. The lines are always long and tend to have someone in front of you that either has never done the whole shopping and paying thing, or they have an item that the cashier cannot figure out the price. We opted for self checkout, short line and all was good, until I did the dreaded scan of the spray paint. The register stopped and said «see a cashier for assistance». Finally when I was able to get the cashiers attention, she said I need to see your ID, then looked at me and said, oh no I don’t, your ok. I mean at least look at it, don’t make me feel so old. I could be an AARP graffiti artist damn it!
So it was an ok visit, a few hiccups here and there and a possible pick up line by the concrete man, so it’s 3 stars for now.

Location is central so it’s a busy store. The staff are generally helpful BUT they have one employee in Electrical who is rude and unhelpful. Ask him a question and he’ll act like you are inconveniencing him, he’ll pretend not to understand your question, or he’ll give you an answer that implies you should know the answer yourself. I dread seeing this guy as it’s always the same. He should not be in a customer service role anywhere. Today I walked out on him and called the store manager Sean to complain. I was pragmatic and reasonable — and Sean seemed to get it. Either way, I will go to Syosset in future for my Electrical needs. He’s 60’s, tallish, grey hair and a m’stache — I cannot be the only person with this experience (going back a year or more).

This is a prominent Home Depot location. Jericho serves construction needs all over North Shore Nassau County. Given this location serves an area peppered with affluent neighborhoods, you’d expect nothing but great service and well stocked inventory.
As a frequent customer of this Home Depot, I’m here to tell you to expect nothing but mediocrity at best. And that’s being generous.
Inventory is spotty. Sometimes they have what you’re looking for, but if you’re frequent to this location like me, expect to end up schlepping to Syosset or Westbury.
The associates are hit and miss. A couple here and there will know their department’s stuff, but for the most part, they are unhelpful. Most just can’t wait to leave you alone and run off to God knows where. That’s happened to me more times than I can count.
The customer service desk is not helpful. One time, during a return, the representative told me to put a very heavy item on top of their counter, and I almost hurt myself trying to do so.
The pro desk is even worse. I’ve been to so many Home Depots all over the New York metropolitan area, and I can say without any reservation that this is the WORST pro desk I’ve ever seen.
Early in the morning, there are a few decent people to help, but any other time it is a graveyard shift. I’m waiting here right now for ONE representative of Home Depot, who is apparently the only person in this entire big box store who is able to execute the kind of transaction I need.
I asked for the general manager, but got the assistant manager instead. I told him the problem and he indicated he would help. Someone was sent but that person could not perform the transaction I needed. Clearly, my problem is of no concern to Home Depot.
To be clear, I don’t blame the one gentleman at pro desk. It’s Management’s fault for not hiring more people who know how to do text to confirm transactions.
Home Depot needs a shakedown in competition. Clearly, they are very secure in providing poor customer service. I hope I never have to see this location ever again.

Did not like the service, however has what you need most of the time. Prefer the one in Syosset

Good Access to different roads. This is important if your hauling oversized objects on your car, like lumber or Sheetrock. the highway ramp and service road have great access points from the back.
This Home Depot is better than average. They are fully staffed, and are almost never out of anything. The garden center is huge, and so is the appliance and lumber areas.
Had a great experience late last night. Had trouble finding a fridge and the gentleman working the appliance area helped me get the best deal despite the fact that they were closing soon. He had to take me to different parts of the store to complete the order and even helped me open a Home Depot card so I could get 10% off.
Like all Home Depots the return policy is stellar. This allows me to over-​buy for a job and then return unused items or tools.

I wish i can give ZERO star. Workers here are so disrespectful and rude. If you dont want to work here just dont. Giving customer attitude, sucking teeth at a customer just because i asked a question 2 times, etc… I dont know if they are racist, didnt get any training? It is literally every time i come and ask questions, they dont even have answers but give attitude. Please train your workers how to treat customers.

I have recently purchased new countertops and backsplash for my kitchen. They have not been installed yet but the exemplary level of customer service I have received thus far made me write an early review.
Gregory Haddad was my Kitchen Designer, located on the second floor in the Design Center. When I first entered the store I had no idea what the difference was between the countertop materials, all the options available, or even what I ultimately wanted. He was very patient with me and explained in detail what the benefits and features were for ALL the options, as well as the pros and cons for each. He followed up with me via email or phone and quickly responded to all my inquiries. He was accommodating by setting appointments with me, professional and helpful with his advice and expertise. He also viewed pictures of my existing cabinets and floor to assist me in ultimately making my decisions. Gregory is a great example of going above and beyond to assist a client. His customer service is impeccable!
Chet Speciale was also extremely helpful in picking out my backsplash. He did an extensive search to find the tile I had my heart set on, and found it! Nicole Gaudiosi has also been very accommodating with setting my appointments for the templates, granite viewing, and setting up my install.
I am very happy with my purchase so far and extremely impressed by the level of customer service from all 3 of these Home Depot associates. I will write another review after the install. However, if it is anything like the steps leading up to the install I am sure it will all run smoothly and look perfect!

I am not a person to review a home depot but the service was great. I came here to buy paint for my living room and the lady at painting extremely nice and helpful. She showed me how to paint the bricks, give me a good selection of paint. Her recommended color was great and really showed the living room.

One of the better staffed HD locations with shorter lines and more product on the shelves. It has a second level, accessible by stair or elevator in the back of the store.

Well staffed, friendly, knowledgeable people at this home depot, not the typical abyss of tools and mantoys where you can’t find anyone to help out. The staff makes each trip in a pleasant one, just ask and they’re happy to help out.

Now, I’m not typically the kind of person you find in Home Depot because I don’t work well with my hands. My kindergarten art projects were always so disappointing.
Anyway, I’ve been coming here recently for two reasons:
— Deciding on what color to paint my bedroom next
— Supplies for a costume I’m working on
When I went to check out paint swatches, I stood at the wall for a good half hour without anyone stopping to ask if I needed help. I ended up leaving with a purse full of swatches and still haven’t decided on what would look best in my room.
When I went here for my costume supplies I had really great help. All I needed was water putty and a very small, tiny bit of red paint. I explained at the paint counter what I was doing and showed the associate the costume I wanted to make and what the red paint was being used for. Instead of mixing up a quart of paint which would have been entirely too much, she got me a sample which helped save me money.
A few notes about this Home Depot. They have a rug sale in the parking lot all the time. It takes up a lot of parking spots but I suppose it’s nice if you’re in the market for a rug. Sometimes they also have a door greeter who will say hello and ask what is the main business of your trip. I only saw the door greeter on my costume trip here and he was able to point me to the aisle with the water putty.
I like this location and I suppose with any staff there’s people who really enjoy doing a good job at their job and others who will pass you by.

This is the best home depot that i have shop at so far. The staff are very helpful. I love the buy online and pick up later feature, it’s like having a personal shopper. They gather all the items for you and have it ready at the front entrance. Best prices and excellent selection.

I like this Home Depot because it is convenient for me. If you know what you want and where it is in the store, it’s great. I recommend printing out the store layout from the website before you go.
It is hard to find help in this store. If you need a product on a high shelf you might as well forget it. You also have to watch out for the contractors in the store wheeling huge lumber all over the place without looking.
Overall I do recommend this store and it’s conveniently located between the LIE service road and Jericho Turnpike.

For me Home Depot is one giant toy store. On a a serious note, this is the place I always go to for product and information. One must realize that some products at HD are made strictly for them and that may account for cheaper prices versus the speciality store, but for the majority of my home repair work, Home Depot is the place to find just about everything. Many of the salespeople there are specialists and can (and will) give you valuable information about your project. HOnestly, I have found that asking the right questions and giving them the full story of what needs to be done is important to getting all the correct information back from them.
Bring pictures of your project, samples of product you’re using. The more they know, the more effective they can be.
Don’t be afraid to ask and don’t be afraid to say thank you. Let the person who helped you out know that their advice worked, or not. They will appreciate it.

Went looking for an extra gas can on the day of the storm, figured i was out of luck but i tried anyway.
Basically all Home Depot’s are the same
The service is good and the selection is great.
If you need help sometimes it is a bit of a wait until you can find someone.
I unfortunately did not get a gas can here, Oh well off to the next location.

I’m a girl who really has no desire to really ever shop here. but they do have cute keys you can get made! and I do love to look at the kitchen and bath set ups :) that’s about it. I guess it’s good for what it is.

During the building boom in 2004 before the crash. they were open until 12 midnight.
Things changed now — but they may be a little later on hours.

I have to agree with Franco with respect to the knowledge of their staff. I had a recent experience ordering carpet from this store and it was like the blind leading the blind. I also had a pretty simple question about a wet/​vac that couldn’t be answered by the gentleman assigned to that aisle — had to resort to looking it up on my phone.
On the positive side, customer service at this location is pretty spot, which is one thing you will get from a big box store. They will take things back with pretty much no questions asked. For small things, I would rather do my shopping at a local hardware store, but you know there is at least some modicum of quality control and your selection is far greater at a large chain like the home depot.
