K & J Diner

I occasionally stop here for Sunday brunch. The pros: it’s a great value. Good omelette station, Decent buffet. Owner usually on premises; engaging guy.
This place used to be a bar restaurant but no longer has a liquor license, When I’m alone, I prefer to sit at the bar. However, that’s used as more of a storage area and your service is limited to flagging down a passing waitress. Not good, and why I didn’t rate the place higher,

Just went in for breakfast! Overall, very good experience. The staff were super polite, seems like a small family owned thing going on. They have great breakfast specials at a really good price. I got the farmers special for around $ 7 and couldn’t even finish it. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The other people eating seemed to be regulars but I didn’t feel that I was treated any differently, which was great. My only complaint was that my table was super shaky, so I had to be careful while cutting food so as not to spill my coffee.

Great Breakfast!!!, Always get my usual, $ 1.99 Two Eggs And Toast with Hash browns then I add Bacon as a side for $ 2.00. Comes out fast and tasty

I’ve been twice. Service is ok. However, charging your regular breakfast prices on Christmas eve day stating it was a holiday is not ok. It’s not a holiday. I will not be returning.

This is my go to spot for breakfast. I love good hashbrowns /​home fries. They have great service and are super nice to my 3 boys. I am not a fan of their breakfast buffet and recommend sticking with their breakfast specials. Their continued great value and nice staff keeps me coming back. Their prices remind me of the prices of going to a diner in 1999.

Really good food at a very reasonable price. A large variety to choose from. The people who work there are very helpful and sweet. Give it a try. We needed a place like this in the area

The food was below par. The salad bar food was ok and the temperature of the food warm not hot. My stuffing when I tasted it, tasted sour. So at that point I was turned off to eat the meal. I told the waiter, and he seemed not to care and nothing was done by the hostess etc. Our beverages were not refilled. We don’t plan to go back. What a shame because there is not a decent diner around.

First time here. Very inexpensive with extremely large portions. Dinners include soup and salad bar, which had multiple selections.
Food all tasted good. Will be back.

1^st time here. Had lunch. Overwhelmed by choices. Underwhelmed by quality. A bit pricey. Maybe next time we’ll try breakfast.

We’ve been watching to see when K & J Diner would open as its been ‘coming soon’ for about a year now. (Apparently something with the township and having to upgrade the windows). The décor is mostly 50’s vinyl, fun and bright.
Finally open … 24/​7, 365 … DH & I went for an early breakfast (7:30?). Menu was a bit confusing. The first full page was dedicated to 10? breakfast specials, served Mon — Fri. Today, being Sat., they were irrelevant.
DH stuck to his usual eggs overeasy, bacon & toast. He was happy; his toast was buttered, his food hot and eggs perfect!
My pancakes, however, came out just this of warm (whipped butter –my favorite– didn’t even melt) and were tough to cut. Yeah, huh? The sausage and egg were overcooked. Granted, I ordered my egg overhard, but there was little egg white left after peeling away the crispy edges. Perhaps there was only one cook at that early hour as it seemed my food was cooked first and sat under a heat lamp while hubbys meal was prepared.
We chalked it up to ‘growing pains’ as they’ve been open less than a week. They also have a breakfast buffet and an omelet station beginning at 9:00am.
They have a gorgeous selection of fresh baked goods available that I’m looking forward to sampling; they have an in-​house baker 3 days/​week. And, they’re equipped for a full bar, once they have their liquor license. Oh, and we were NOT charged for water, as another reviewer has posted, and our check matched the menu prices.
We have high hopes for this place. Hopefully it’s all uphill from here!
