Protective Security Specialists is a full service Bodyguard, Executive Protection, Close Protection and Personal Protection service, Tactical Security, Special Operations Weapons, Martial Arts and Self Defense training company.

History

Established in 2012.

The idea for this business started through hard work, blood, sweat and tears 28 years ago. Owner, chief operator, and chief tactical instructor spent 8 years conducting Tier 1 Special Operations in the US Army Rangers. He has been in the Protective Security career field since leaving the military for 23 years. Owner has received some of the best training and worked for some of the best companies in the specialty security field available.

He started his own business Alert-​1 Protection and Investigation Service in 2001 conducting Bodyguard work and Private Investigations. In 2003 went to LA and worked for Gavin de Becker and Associates conducting Bodyguard and Executive Protection work. In 2004 went to Iraq to conduct High Threat Protective Security Specialist work for the US Department of State, Diplomatic Security Service. In 2012, finished overseas work as a PSS/​PSD-​Team Leader and started Protective Security Specialists of Jacksonville, FL.

Owner is fully licensed and insured.

Michael (Bodyguard, Executive Protection Specialist, Close Protection Operative, Personal Protection Specialist, Self Defense Instructor, Martial Arts Instructor and Chief Tactical Security Instructor)

During his 8-​year tour, he received some of the best training available in Protective Security, Tactical Security, Leadership, Weapons, CQB and Hand to Hand Combat. During his tour, he served in two combat operations, «Operation Just Cause», the Invasion of Panama, and «Operation Desert Storm.» He served as Team Leader and led his team in many successful combat missions. Since leaving the US Army in 1993 he has provided and managed an extensive range of Protective Security, Martial Arts Instruction, and Tactical Security training services. These services have been provided to local personnel and agencies, as well Department of State, High Threat Protective Security Specialists. He is a Guro Fifth Degree Black Sarong in the Filipino Martial Arts, a Sifu Fifth Degree Black Sash in JKD.
