Snowflake Inn

Our second year here for my wife and I to get away from our 4 girls. Sue is amazing. Our in laws also stay here and have had the same amazing experiences! Get the 3 or 4 day massages and take advantage of the morning fire place and coffee sitting area! This is our annual go to get away place for us after 20 years together!

Have been to the snowflake inn twice now and both occasions were perfection. The rooms are huge, comfortable, clean, and relaxing. The common areas have games, puzzles, and books for anyone to use. The complimentary coffee, tea, snacks, and freshly baked cookies are such a nice treat whenever you need a pick me up throughout the day. Being here really allows you to escape the craziness of everyday life. Cannot wait to come back!

Amazon Local deal gone right. A warm, comfy, welcoming Inn. Gracious innkeeper, spacious king suite ready and waiting for our arrival with some personal touches, and a fresh, simple breakfast bar to satisfy in the AM. The common areas are lovely. Easy to find a private corner or be amongst a few people.
We will return. =)

A very special Inn!
My wife and u aren’t really B&B fans, but this place is fantastic. It crosses the bridge nicely between a very nice hotel and a B&B. Sue, the owner was just terrific to us as we checked in, the rooms are bran new (2 – 2015), with flat screen tv, large jacuzzi tub, and built in gas fireplace along with a VERY COMFORTABLE king bed, nice linens, upscale toiletries, and a gigantic public hot tub off the lobby (indoors), that must seat 30 ppl and has super turbo jets on demand.
Anyway, this place is terrific, and the staff are incredible!
Breakfast is light, but the pastries and breads are fresh and delightful, the fruit is ripe and hand cut that morning, and the yogurt seemed home made, or was at least a local producer making small batch yogurt. Perhaps I’m wrong, but it seemed very special.
You can’t get a better room in the valley.
Enjoy and remember to be nice as friendliness is very contagious.

This place was a great weekend away!
Upon arrival, you are greeted by the front desk associate and a friendly dog behind her! After checking in we were treated with some complimentary wine and cheese.
The room’s here are amazing. Huge comfy beds, fireplace in room, two person jaccuzi in room, dual headed showers. It was nice and cozy, very quiet which is what we were looking for.
They also have a HUGE hot tub that is surrounded by candles and ambient lighting. This place is very romantic.
The only star that was lost was for the sole reason of the fireplace not being on and inability to book online. I guess they shut the fireplaces off in room between may and september. Would have enhanced the mood a lot if there were a nice fire going in the room.
I will definitely return, had an awesome weekend!

This is a true «bed and breakfast» inn. You can literally walk around in your pajamas and feel at home. It comes with a great jacuzzi in each room as well as a fabulous indoors heated pool. I also love that they have round-​the-​clock tea, coffee, and cookies which are great for a light snack at any time. I believe only adults are allowed at the inn which makes it perfect for a romantic retreat, especially during winter. I recommend it for anyone who is looking for a private, quiet retreat.

My boyfriend and I came to the Snowflake Inn after we bought a special deal on Groupon. After reading the bad reviews I was a bit nervous to stay there. Upon arrival we were greeted by Sue the owner. She was very friendly! Sue and her family live at the inn and everyone was always attentive and there if we needed anything.
When we got up to our room the first thing we walked into was a sitting area with a love seat and a chair. This room seemed pretty useless because there were no windows and no tv. The bedroom was spacious with a king sized bed, jacuzzi tub in the room, large window with a bench below, and a fireplace. The tv was a bit dated but it still worked. The bathroom was really nice with a two-​headed shower for two. Spacious counter space and one skink. The entire room was clean and neat which is what really mattered to us.
Our groupon deal came with a free bottle of champagne and a $ 40 resort credit, neither of which were mentioned when we checked in. When we got into our room we didn’t find our champagne or $ 40 gift card of some sort either. When my boyfriend went down to the front desk to ask where it was they said they’d be brining the champagne up to us. They explained we could use the resort credit towards couples massages choc. covered strawberries etc.
On our second day at snowflake my boyfriend went down to tell them we would like some chocolate covered strawberries brought to our room after we came back from dinner. The woman behind the desk said she didn’t know if there were any left and she’d see what she could do. Never the less the strawberries were ready when we returned from dinner.
The continental breakfast is really not continental at all so beware. Coffee, tea, instant oatmeal packets, fresh fruit, bowl of regular yogurt, and granola. No bagels toast or anything else.
Regular stays here are very pricey! I hope to return at some point but could probably only afford another special deal.
My advice: don’t let the bad reviews scare you this place was awesome! Great romantic getaway for two!

Great place to stay for a romantic getaway. We got a great deal that included champagne and chocolates.
The jacuzzi tub was awesome and very clean. It came with a rose and bath salts. The floors are also heated, there’s a fireplace in the room and a two-​person shower. I mean, what else do you need?
We found everything to be very comfortable, we loved the tub, even brought some LUSH bath bombs and watched movies from their huge (and free) DVD library. Location is GREAT too!
Oh and the constant supply of cookies, coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the lobby ain’t too shabby either! You can treat the place like home, grabbing a glass of water, corkscrews, mugs, glasses etc as you need them which I thought was really nice.

An amazing relaxing romantic retreat for couples! This place truly knows how to treat you! We stayed in the Riverwalk Suite after purchasing a living social deal because otherwise the rates are pricey… It was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room was HUGE, the bed was very comfortable, the bedding was also soft and nice, the couples massages in the room were to rave about and the spa tub in the bathroom with the see through fireplace to the bedroom was a decent size for 2 and VERY relaxing. The hotel is owned by a couple who greet you at arrival and are very accomodating. There is a personalized note in your room with a single rose and lindt chocolates. The TV was playing nice classic music when we entered also.
In the lobby area, they have a book of menus for area restaurants along with an assortment of DVDs to bring back to the room to watch (for free). They also have a print out of the weather for the week. There is a very large, lovely wood burning fireplace which they light in the evening (we went during the fall season) and they bake cookies and have hot chocolate to make so you can sit by the fire and enjoy a snack. Coffee and tea is also out during the day. The have a small breakfast with scones and fruit in the morning as well.
The spa is amazing! It was a HUGE jacuzzi with jets all around and a nice little waterfall. It was very peaceful and relaxing. It is surrounded by windows and sliding doors to the outside but the temp in the spa is so warm they are often fogged up. The only drawback is the spa is in the lobby so people walking in the front door can look into the spa and see you swimming. It’s not a major negative, but some people awkwardkly stare which I didn’t like.
I will definitely be back! This place is amazing!

Not worth the price.

We got a Living Social deal for 2 nights, with free breakfast, discount on massages, and snow tubing. However, there was no natural snow (only man made at the ski resorts) so we did not get our snow tubing and they did not offer to accommodate us with anything else. When I reminded the owner that the deal I paid for included snow tubing, her reply was a nasty «I can’t control the weather.» I’m not stupid, and I know you can’t control the weather, but I paid for those passes. I know it’s the holidays and you’re stressed, but is that really how you talk to your customers? She said the passes were not what I paid for and were only complimentary if there was snow. I understood her point, but nobody clarified this in the deal I purchased. I had to call Living Social and received a partial reimbursement. I wouldn’t have minded if she had not talked to me like I was an idiot. She had an attitude that was unnecessary and we even heard her yelling at her employees and people on the phone. On the last day when it was snowing and we were getting ready to leave, she did offer us the tubing passes, which I appreciated, even though it was too late. Aside from the tubing issue…
Breakfast was fantastic! The woman that cooked and set up the meals/​snacks was very friendly and sweet.
The massages we got were excellent! Two very nice local ladies came to our room with their massage tables. She even gave me tips on how to deal with my knots.
The room was cozy once we got that fireplace going. The private hot tub in our room with complimentary bath salts was just what we needed to relax after a day of skiing.
We didn’t bother with the heated pool, since it was in a room with huge windows all around and I didn’t feel like getting in a bathing suit to sit in a window while everyone outside is bundled up in winter clothes. It just felt awkward and not even close to «romantic.»
We also enjoyed the pool table upstairs.
Prices were high, but the deal we got made it worth it. I don’t think I would pay full price.

This place is absolutely ideal for a romantic getaway! The second you walk in, you can just feel all of your troubles slipping away. From the crackling fireplace to the smell of cinnamon and Christmas that lingers throughout the inn, I was in love. It was the little touches that really got me. The owner takes you around for a personal tour at check-​in which I thought was nice, there’s always ice-​cold water with lemons, coffee, tea, and warm cookies in stock at the lobby, and they light candles around the pool at night to set the mood. My boyfriend and I were serious fans of the jacuzzi right next to the bed though! We also got an hour long couples massage which was great – the massage therapists came right to our room. They have a huge selection of DVD’s to choose from which is great for a night in. The rooms were clean although I do agree with a previous Unilocaler who said that the paint job could use some sprucing up, but everything else made up for it. They also had a huge, fully-​equipped gym right next to the rooms – very convenient.
My only real complaint was the breakfast. They provide really yummy yogurt, granola, fruit, and scones but you have to come early to get anything good and it gets old after about 2 mornings. It would’ve been so much better if they just had some kind of bagels, toast, or something a bit more substantial.
All in all though, it’s a great place and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!

I absolutely loved this place! And i cannot wait to go back. I got a deal off Living Social and I highly recommend this place. It’s very romantic, quiet and peaceful. The ONLY reason i give it 4 stars instead of 5 is our room was not cleaned during our two night stay, we informed the owner and she was very apologetic and gave us new towels but i was still a little bummed that our bed was not made, etc. but other than that, there was not one negative thing about this place!

The only bad thing about the Snowflake Inn is leaving. We’ve stayed in Jackson before and this place is the Taj Mahal compared to the last place we stayed at. It’s not perfect but we are definitely going back. We had a nice outdoor fire at night and they provide real wine glasses for their guests. The Roman Spa was fantastic, and there were lots of places, both inside and out, where a couple could enjoy some quiet, private time. My wife and I signed up for a package deal that included messages and dinner. I «sacrificed» my message for my wife, which I would gladly do again. I would not, however, opt for the dinner at the 1785 Inn. It’s not that we didn’t enjoy the Inn, we just felt pressured to leave the beauty of the mountains to go have dinner that we had reserved in advance.

I loved this place! I was just sorry I only got to spend two nights here. The staff was very nice and helpful and the woman who checked us in even gave us a tour of the whole place. It smells amazing downstairs, like Christmas, and was warm and cozy. The common area had a fireplace, seating, puzzles, games, and a buffet where they set up breakfast in the mornings and fresh baked goods in the afternoons. There is always coffee, tea, and water available.
At night, they start a fire in the fire pit on the porch and set out a bag of marshmallows to toast. We didn’t partake in this, but it looked fun anyway. They also have a decent selection of DVDs you can take up to your room.
The rooms were great. We were in a king suite and it was huge and very clean. The in-​room jacuzzi was awesome, the bed was comfortable, and the room also had a fireplace and a separate sitting area.
I really cannot say enough good things about this place and I would definitely recommend it if you’re in the area.
