A group of us decided to take a drive along the delta for Father’s Day. We found ourselves stopping at Peter’s Steakhouse. We were all HANGRY and hot. The place was very busy and we could not get anyone to help us with getting tables. One of the ladies in our group approached a young man named Danny. Danny was very helpful and assisted us in getting a table for our group. The service was slow but Danny keep making sure that our beverages were full and beer was served. Our meals slowly started to appear and the prime rib sandwich was worth waiting for. The meat melted in your mouth and was so tasty! Danny continued to visit with us making sure we were all ok. It was a great afternoon! We plan on taking a bike ride out soon to visit again. The pasta looked awesome and I cannot wait to try.

Came today for Father’s Day, food was good but the owners were serving and it was horrible. Hire some help. It took and hour and 15 minutes to get our food. We had to remind him to bring our drinks, it took 20 mins just for drinks. Yes I know and understand that it was busy but if you hire help you wouldn’t have this problem. Second time eating here, first was great because we actually had a waitress that talked and was prompt with service. Don’t plan on returning.

My wife and I took a good friend here for lunch. It was outstanding. Food, service, price everything was great. I had the ribeye my wife had the salmon. Our friend had soup and salad and a shrimp cocktail. My steak was perfectly done. My wife loved her salmon. Our friend loved the chowder and shrimp cocktail. This is a Delta prize for sure. We will be back

Went to Peter’s for lunch. After reading reviews had to have the Prime Rib sandwhich. Very disappointed. The slice of beef was somewhere between 1⁄8 to ¼ inch thick and overcooked(medium). Asked for rare, they said they had medium rare. I said that’s ok. When the sandwhich came the meat was set inside a sliced french roll. Letuce and tomatoes were on the side. Since there was so little meat the sandwhich was dry. Would have helped to have the bread dipped in an Au jus or spread with some mayonnaise. Doing that would have changed it to a sliced beef sandwhich not a prime rib sandwhich. I like the rustic ambience. Waitress was fine, service was good. I think the Au jus sandwhich would be a better option.

Our motorcycle group went to Peter’s Steakhouse and was very pleased with everything from the communication, to the quality of the lunch. We had a group of 40 people arrive all at once, and the lunches came out in a timely manner, nice and hot, and the fries just kept coming. I didn’t hear one complaint about food or service. Thank you Peter and Staff for all you did to make the dining experience a great one! We’ll be back!

Had the prime rib sandwich several times and love it. However, I am surprised that the coffee there tasted like instant coffee and tasted weak. I tried two different soups… calm chowder and minestrone soup on different visits and the cream of corn and found all three to be extremely thick, salty and strachy.

I like this place. They did everything right. My meal was bread, salad and prime rib. The bread was awesome and the pat butter was spreadable. The salad was tasty, fresh, cold and served on a chilled plate(thank you!). The ranch dressing was chilled too. The main course was fantastic. That was great prime rib. The horseradish was pretty brutal. It was easier to handle after I cut it with some sour cream. Awesome, awesome, awesome meal. Previously I tried the prime rib sliders and they were delicious.

My friend brought me here when she was in town visiting. I ordered something relatively inexpensive($ 16 fish) and was NOT impressed. It had no flavor and was very dry. I did steal a bite of her prime rib, however, and it was exceptional. I would only order that prime rib if I went back. Whoever was cooking that knew what he was doing. Maybe I’d go again for a special occasion but for two of us the bill came out to $ 70+. That’s a bit steep for me, even for the world’s best prime rib.

Well actually I’d give it a 4.5BUT that option isn’t available. Doesn’t look like much on the outside but inside is nicely appointed. Drinks(vodka soda) are well balanced. Food is surprisingly outstanding. My prime rib was perfectly medium rare– and I know prime rib as a frequent visitor to the HOPR in SF — flavorful, nicely marbled and the Au Jus was the perfect compliment as was the REAL horseradish. Perfect baked potato and broccoli. Definitely would come back — no problem– hands down. Great friendly service too.

Absolutely wonderful, perfect Martini, with excellent service. It’s true Isleton is a short drive once across the Antioch bridge but It’s well worth the drive. The Owner /Chef really knows his stuff! our steaks and prime ribs were some of the best I have ever had. Very good value combined with food and service that is from the heart… I highly recommend Peter’s, much better than so many high priced steak houses in Contra Costa County.

Came here Sunday 2÷21÷16, great experience! The place itself was great, old Victorian just as you enter Isleton, columns inside, old school, cloth napkins, friendly staff. Started with the house salad w/1000 Island, I think house made but not sure, it was cold & crisp, tomatoes could’ve been riper but didn’t take anything away from it, also had raisins and sunflower seeds, nice touch. Had an ice cold beer, always a good thing. I had the 8oz Prime rib, baked potato and steamed broccoli. Prime rib was excellent, tender melt in your mouth good, potato was baked to perfection, steamed broccoli was soggy but I ate it anyway. I highly recommend taking the trip to Isleton if for no other reason than to eat at Peter’s, it’s that good. Mary and I ordered the same thing and not including tip, great meal, great service, wonderful ambiance for just under $ 60. Hard to beat that.

Went here for dinner tonight had the monster prime rib 24oz. cut of meat cooked medium rare of course. It came with baked potatoe, broccoli, salad and bread. It was amazing I highly recommend this place for dinner or lunch the service is really good and the food was fantastic! We also had the crawdad cocktail for an appetizer it was also very good! Great for groups and they have a nice bar in the back of the dining room. Check out this gem if your ever passing through isleton or make a trip out here it is worth the drive for sure!

Best Prime rib I’ve ever had. More tender and flavorful than Alexander’s Steakhouse in Cupertino. Liver music for dinner, and very friendly staff.

Im giving it 4 stars for food and 1 extra star because its in the middle of nowhere and still very good. We had great cocktails, great steaks, and a nice evening. Its a very good place in a local, out of the way spot. Enjoy!

Disappointing. While steak was cooked correctly, wasn’t that good of a steak, especially at $ 26. Whole meal was mediocre. After reading reviews, we went there for hubby’s birthday. Guess we expected more than this place delivers. Won’t be going back.

Stopped here on a whim. Crawdad cocktail was awesome! Cocktail sauce is packed with real horseradish. Then had the prime rib sandwich with au jus and more horseradish!!! Don’t get fooled by the outside. Nice interior although a little funky. Old timers having fun at the bar in back playing dice. Small town Americana.

I took a few days off of work to unwind, and found myself driving down the winding 160 toward the Delta. There are a few places along the river I usually stop, but I was looking for something new. As I neared Isleton, I realized I was hungry and parked, figuring I could pretty much walk to wherever from there. So many things are closed down in Isleton that it can come off kind of hostile and deserted, even in the sunshine. There were a few restaurants in plain view, but they had closed signs prominently displayed. Intimidated, I brought out my Unilocal app and searched for nearby things that were open then. Peter’s Steak House popped up, and I realized it was just across the street from where I was parked — perfect. I made my way up the steps and opened the door to find a beautiful but completely empty dining room. Expensive looking burgundy booths, crisp white table cloths, stained glass, and a mixed Asian and nautical theme — but not a soul in sight. A blonde waitress popped her head out of the kitchen, looking surprised to see me, and made her way toward me with a questioning look on her face as if she wasn’t sure what I wanted. I wondered if this was some private party place and I was intruding. But she was smiling, so I didn’t bolt. She rested her hand hesitantly on the stack of menus, «lunch?» I nodded and she showed me to a sunny booth near the windows and bar. I ordered a Blue Moon, and the Fettuccine with Prawns. After she put in my order, she checked on me one more time, then left. I guess her shift was over. As I waited for my food and sipped my beer, three elderly folks came in clearly drunk and having a good time. They took seats at the bar and carried on laughing and teasing each other until an older Asian man, who I later learned is The Peter of Peter’s Steak House, appeared and poured them gin and sprites. My food appeared and it was beautiful, delicious, and perfect. I know it sounds stupid to call a dish perfect, because what does that even mean — but it was. Fettuccine with Prawns isn’t a difficult dish, but this one was done well. The prawns tasted very fresh and there was a generous amount of them. Two crusty pieces of garlic bread complimented the dish. As I ate, the folks at the bar noticed me and introduced themselves. They began to play some dice game with Peter, and I could tell they were locals. After a few more minutes they invited me over to join them. I finished my Fettuccine and headed over. They were playing a dice game called Liars that I only halfway caught the rules of. They offered to teach me, and were only gambling with a buck each, but I was too caught up with how charmingly surreal this all was to actually play. I got another beer and watched, bantering back and forth with them between rounds. I had a wonderful time and left happy and fulfilled. It wasn’t just a meal(good as it was), it was an experience that made my day fun and special. The owner, Peter, is an absolute delight — very funny and unassuming. I so look forward to coming back on my next drive down the river. If you’re passing through, stop here.
