I have been going to this shop for 2 years. I bought an used 1996 Toyota Camry. They have done mostly everything for my car from fixing big oil leaks to oil changes. Always super friendly and great customer service. I don’t get off work until 5:30PM so they have kept the shop open for me at times (one time I couldn’t be there until 6:30PM). Recommended them to all my co workers!

A fantastic shop! I have always worked on my own cars, it is so nice to have a shop that takes the same care. Truly knowledgeable and personable. A&E Automotive is always willing to take the time to do any job right. Very fair pricing, I’d say they go above and beyond for a very fair hourly rate. Very communicative and true to their word. They also stand behind their work. Highly recommended to anyone!

I’ve taken my car there twice now and each time they were incredibly nice and helpful, as well as efficient. They gave me a ride to and from work while my car was in the shop, and kept me updated throughout the day. Easily one of the best experiences I’ve had with mechanics ever!

I was desperate to get a battery change, but called them right before they closed. Dannon, a pure joy just to chat with on the phone, arranged it so that they stayed open an extra half hour for me. This place definitely feels like your mom and pop auto shop with how kind they are to their customers. Who cares if they’re priced a little more than their competitors (not in my experience anyway), you really feel like you’re being looked after.

Great service, great staff.
Had a bad belt, they diagnosed it, scheduled the repair and got me back on the road.

Best smog check experience! Booked a smog check online last night, showed up and they got me out the door in about 20 minutes (maybe less) and the out the door price $ 55.55 :) not the cheapest but certainly close and reasonable! Also, the people there are friendly, helpful, professional and have good humor. Recommend them wholeheartedly!

Made the Smog appointment for 10:00, was out the door at 10:15. Great service and a nice family run business. I have been looking for a good, honest place to take my cars to and this looks like it. Found on Unilocal

This is probably the best experience I’ve had with an auto shop. The service I received was both personable and professional. I got an appointment the week that I called, I got rides to and from work, everything I needed was completed in a timely manner, and my 2002 Toyota is running smoothly and looks good. Sanford and Dannon, a husband and wife team, made this an easy and comfortable process.
I needed a smog check and oil change, and I also asked them to install a powerless passenger mirror that I had ordered from Amazon (because getting the original part from Toyota would have been about $ 400 more). They could have said no, but they put the mirror on, charged a very reasonable price, and it looks like it was meant to be there.
They also gave me a thorough courtesy check, and — the best part of this experience — Dannon explained everything to me, including a couple of things I need to keep my eye on for the future. I really appreciated that she took the time to explain everything and answer all of my questions in a way that I could understand.
I will definitely take my car back to this business in the future. Highly recommended!

QUICK and easy smog check. I called, was told to come right in, I was back home in less then and hour.

I took my 2005 Subaru Outback in for blown head gasket repair. I had an estimate from a repair shop and wanted a second opinion. They called me with more bad news, but since the car is old and has very high mileage I knew the additional repairs were necessary.
This is a family run business and with two of the mechanics owning Subarus I felt comfortable leaving my car in their hands.
With the additional work, which was extensive, the end cost was less than the estimate I received from the first repair shop.
I think this is a great busines and they have gained a lifetime customer. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

Cheap Smog Check ($ 55.55), Friendly Staff, Comfortable, Great First Experience.
I used to always go to Casey’s Garage for smogs but got tired of always waiting 2 or 3 times longer than expected. Did some research online and A&E Auto was one of the cheapest Smogs check shops in town so I decided to check them out.
Called same day and had an appointment within the hour. Showed up, no waiting, pleasant area with interesting art and things around the shop, little sweets on the desk too :)
They do a complimentary check under the hood and advised me of some worn belts I have which I knew of before so I knew they were being honest.
Staff is friendly and I enjoyed my experience there so I would definitely recommend them for a smog and possibly other work. Thank you!

Very overpriced & extremely slow. Took 45 minutes just waiting to get seen & fill out initial paperwork. Cost me $ 104.55 diagnostic fee to get the code on my check engine light (which another lube & tune shop did for free) I was not provided a detailed, written estimate with code, estimated parts & labor itemized so I could comparison shop even though I paid $ 104.55 for the diagnostic. I had to ask for a written detailed estimate twice & wait almost an hour for the receptionist to actually give me a copy & it still was too vague for comparison. Their quote for doing the repairs was interestingly around $ 104.55 higher than other shops. Even the dealership beat their price.

Came in one day to get an Oil change since it was the most decently priced. I was immediately acknowledged by Sanford, who was very quick to help me get the ball rolling. While he did the papers, I noticed they had some awesome stuff laying around. From books to a sweet columbus era bronze map… even like 10 different gauges of spent cartridge shells (one being from the 1800’s), is that not totally awesome or what? He gave me a time to come back (which was about 45 minutes or so) and recommended that I go grab some lunch. Came back around the aforementioned time and surely enough, the car was done like he said.
This is the part where I usually get nervous. I sat down and prepared to get battered with a variety of critical boo boos that my poor car needed to get fixed, but to my fortunate disappointment, that was not the case. I was greeted by Sanfords wife Dannon, who humbly told me my car was in good condition, but (dw, its a good but) at the same time conveniently walked me through some things to watch out for in the future.
I was enlightened (not pushed) about a few minor leaks, worn windshield wipers (they weren’t worn, just really shitty actually), and some other stuff that I could tend to WHEN I felt like it and to not worry. Then she pulled out a book that she obviously worked hours on and guided me to all the pages containing detailed information about the parts that we just talked about. Don’t know about you, but I’m fairly ignorant when it comes to cars and their jargon and thought that was a very nice and courteous touch.
They even drove my car to another shop across the street to get my tire patched up. I actually went to that shop before I went to A & E cause I already knew there was something wrong with the tire; The shop told me if i went after 3 most of their mechs would be gone so it would take longer. Since it was already past 3 I mentally slapped myself at the possible extra 45 minutes. But nope, it took about 10 minutes and I’m sure I have Sanford and Dannon to thank for the expedited time save (Thanks to the Dal Passo Tire Corp, who was also very nice)
All in all, I was very pleased with the service here. Not to mention the fact that my car ran a lot smoother and was zippier afterwards… so kudos to Sanford, Dannon and the awesome mechanics of A&E Automotive! Keep on keepin’ on.

This is my go to place to take my car when it has trouble. The staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable and the service is quick. They go as far as offering to drive you back home if you need a ride. Many times I have visited and the issues turned out to be very minor, such as needing to have a connection tightened. I feel like in these instances mechanics can very easily take advantage of their customers by charging them for more than they really need, but A&E has never done this. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for an honest good quality service.
I am sad to see that this place does not have better reviews on Unilocal.I suggest you google them and read the reviews on google. The reviews are all 100% positive and very informative. I hope that this place gains more positive reviews on Unilocal; they certainly deserve it.
