Quality Inn DFW – Airport

Upon checking in pull back sheets notice stains and holes made trip to the front desk front desk was under the impression she didn’t want to hear it and was told to ask housekeeping. Water was barely coming out of the showerhead. using the iron had stains on it and messed up my uniform.

Old, dirty worn motel. The carpets were ripped all over. The walls, and the cielings in corridors are uneven and gives the illusion of walking thru a fun house. The rooms are dirty. This location definitely does not live of to choice hotel standards.

Ok for the money.

This place stinks! Breakfast was disgusting and eggs were obviously fake. had to wait over 20 mins in line for a waffle because they only had one waffle maker. The soaps and shampoo in my room were used. Don’t stay here

The first 5 min I was in here, I saw 2 cock roaches. The baby crib is broken and old. The bed is small. If its not BC its midnight and nowhere else to go tonight I would get the fuck out of here.

AVOID ROOM: 222 (Honestly, the entire hotel).
I hate to leave this review because the ladies at the front desk were so kind to me, but I’d be doing everyone a disservice if I was dishonest about my stay.
Long story short, this wasn’t my hotel choice. I was booked in Dallas for an event as the Westin next door and preferred staying there, but they were sold out so the event organizers put me in the Quality Inn. When I travel, I avoid hotels like this for my own peace of mind & security.
I reported what I thought to be a tick in the closet area (I’ve never seen a bed bug before this) to the front desk and let the guy know I tried killing it, but it fell on the floor somewhere. He said, «Oh you’ll be fine if it’s on the floor» and offered no further assistance. The next morning I spotted another one on the ironing board just hanging out. This time, I took photos. When I showed the cleaning lady, she screamed and said, «That’s a bed bug» while quickly leaving the room. I went through all of my luggage and turned my clothes inside out. It took an hour & a half.
I reported to front desk and informed them I’d have to get all of my clothes dry cleaned and I shouldn’t be responsible. They were very apologetic and contacted the owner. I told them how much money should cover my dry cleaning bill and they gave me the cash to cover it. I thought I was in the clear until my plane landed back home and my leg felt like it was on fire. I looked and saw bites in clusters of 3’s all on my front and back leg, thigh and higher. I was PISSED OFF, DISGUSTED, FURIOUS and CONCERNED.
To avoid being all of these things, avoid this hotel altogether. They have a legitimate bed bug infestation.
I had to throw away my luggage and other items just to be on the safe side. Paying more for a cleaner hotel will save you more in the long run. TRUST ME!

Just spent 140± nights in this hotel while working in Dallas. I would recommend this place to anyone. The staff was very friendly and helpful, never had a single issue for the entire stay. Room was always clean, house keepers and front desk were AWESOME!
I will be back!’

2 word review: STAY ELSEWHERE
Completely unfinished, city of Dallas shut down their pool for not having access to 911?!? Told the front desk attendant who suggested we go next to the next hotel’s pool? Really? Go trespass on some other Hotel’s property? Yeah no. First room was beyond stinky clearly someone smoked like a chimney in that one, it was repulsive had to go back and demand a cleaner room for myself and child. Next room was half finished, half painted, half in a state of remodeling yet they’re still renting this out why? The whole hotel is clearly being remodeled or spruced up but they’re still renting out half finished/​half trashed out rooms. Worst experience by far with Comfort/​Quality Inns, and will be reporting this to their corporate office to ideally this sorted out or pull their franchise license, it was truly just that bad. Unless you’re truly hard up for a motel (note not hotel) stay elsewhere, this is confirmed by the other reviews.

Clean and perfect for the price. I just stayed for half a day and it was a pleasant stay. I’d stay again even for longer than a half day at this place. Staff was nice, bed was comfy, the water in the bath was hot. The noise was reasonable.

My wife and I arrived at DFW airport after a four hour flight and spent over 45 minutes standing in 98 degree weather trying to get a hotel shuttle. We even had two other Quality inns where staff know us try to contact Irving without success. Finally, we broke down and got a taxi. Upon checking in and explaining our problem, the manager, Derrick, became loud and abusive – lecturing us about how shuttles were guest «privileges» and not a hotel obligation. We were afraid he was going to jump over the counter at us. Subsequently we have seen numerous similar complaints about this man and other hotel staff advised that he is a «maniac» and should not be allowed to deal with people. We concur! Other than Derrick the maniac, the hotel had construction materials scattered around the hallways, the rugs were ratty and smelled of mold, the drywall in our room was unpainted! Never ever again! We are loyal QI customers, but this location is the worst we have ever come across. And Derrick needs to get the boot!

I’m a firm believer in you get what you pay for, this hotel is nice for the price, the rooms are clean and quiet, staff is friendly, and breakfast is free, it suits well for a weary traveler who needs a no frills night of sleep.

As soon as we walk in, front desk was rude. Quickly got our room and went to it, went to lock the dead bolt, it was broken (clearly the door was locked in at some point) room smells like mildew. Hotel was also out of soap… Which was no problem because we brought our own… Went to get ice, ice machine is out of order. Neighbours keep banging on the walls. Ac constantally runs the fan and won’t turn off. Plugs in the room are falling out of the walls. Remote batteries died and remote buttons don’t work. Microwave was dirty. You step out of room and hotel staff and maids stare at you with disgust. Creepy men walk around the pool and «holler and cat call at the women» who are clearly underage. Basically stayed here because we needed a hotel in the area for 4 nights and it was the only one that wasn’t 200/​night. Do yourself a favor and stay away!!! If all you need is a temp bed to rest your head for the night or a hook up then come here, but don’t stay more than 1 night. Oh yeah and bring soap!

This place was disgusting. My room smelled like mildew… it was so bad I could barely sleep. But I had a late flight and I wasn’t able to check in until almost 2am, so there was nowhere else to go. Also, they advertise and promote that they have 24 hr airport shuttle service (which was one of the main reasons why I even considered this hotel). However, my flight got in a little after midnight. I called the hotel to come pick me up from the airport. It was hot and I was tired from flying all night. I called over 10 times (during a 1 hour period), and nobody answered. I’m positive it was the right number. So finally, I just had to take a cab to the hotel, which cost me almost $ 30. When I got to the hotel, I told the clerk that I had been calling for an hour, and all she could say was «I don’t know what you’re talking about, I’ve been here the whole time». Then I got placed in a room that was musty and smelled like wet dirty carpet. I kept my shoes on the entire night. I’ll never be back again. Had I known they weren’t going to pick me up from the airport, I would have used that extra $ 30 that I spent on cab fare to get a nice hotel at the Hilton, Holiday Inn or Marriott.

Convenience to DFW– A+. Westin Hotel next door has a really good restaurant and bar. Across the street is Denny’s. Shuttle has been pretty good from hotel to DFW as you can sign up for a time slot. Rooms have been clean enough and there is good cable TV and AC. My biggest complaint is the WIFI room internet is horrible. A dial up would be faster. Just to pull up your email takes about 2 minutes.

Awful! Customer service was horrible. There were issues with our reservation so we spoke with the manager Derek who was unprofessional and rude. The situation was very minor and could have been handled with ease but it wasn’t. He treated us so badly that we left and stayed at the Westin down the street. Way better service, way better rooms, and similar price. DONT GO HERE.

They’ll rip you off charged me twice for the same night don’t stay there. Bad hotel, bad owner ship, bad receptionist.

Shower didn’t work. Lots of deferred maintenance. Room smelled like dirty diapers. Better than sleeping @ the airport.

This property looks nicer inside vs outside so don’t let the exterior scare you away. This is nothing fancy and it has its rough edges from burned out hall way lights to wall dents/​scuffs, but the sheets were clean and the AC/​heat worked in my room.
Redeeming factors include a 24h airport shuttle for when you get stranded due to missed connections, friendly staff, large enough rooms, amenities at the front desk if you are missing personal items, free breakfast, and close proximity to the airport.

Lobby looks nice enough and the front staff was nice and efficient.
Then you get up to the rooms…
It’s a pretty beat-​up place.
Everything looks old and marks everywhere from where housekeeping carts scrape up against surfaces.
The rooms are nice and clean but I wouldn’t choose to stay here if it wasn’t our airlines paying the bill so that we could catch our flight out in the morning…
