MacArthur Park Dentistry

Dr. Koo and his staff are very friendly, pleasant, and professional. No complaints and always great care. My wife and I are both regular patients here. The location is convenient next to the renovated Kroger on MacArthur. We do recommend Dr. Koo to our friends and family when asked.
For a long time, Dr. Koo kept insisting I get my wisdom teeth removed even though I had not experienced any pain. Then, BAM! Right before Christmas 2014, the pain suddenly appeared. I had been warned! Thankfully, Dr. Koo was able to recommend me to a colleague for oral surgery in Plano (even though they have one that comes to their office the 1^st Thursday of every month).

Dr. Koo was outstanding, and very good with my eight-​year-​old and five-​year-​old. My youngest had to have several cavities fixed, and he wasn’t scared at all. In fact he looked forward to coming back again.

After moving too far away from my childhood dentist and a couple of bad dentist offices I decided to give Dr. Koo and his staff a try. Not only are the staff friendly and tentative to my needs, but Dr. Koo is an amazing and thorough doctor.
I have done pretty well with my teeth and have always considered braces. Although, I have been told it wasn’t needed the option of clear correct was provided and I have been ecstatic with the results, so far. I used to live in Irving and have since moved to McKinney and choose to travel to the best dental experience I have had.

I went to this dentist once and decided never to go back. Went there to fix a broken filling. The dentist took x-​rays, took one quick look and quickly declared that I needed to have that tooth crowned and all my wisdom teeth removed by an oral surgeon. He made it sound like I needed to get all this work like right away. Next week at the latest he said!
Um, what?
I couldn’t believe he was talking crowns! He went on to say that if I didn’t remove my wisdom teeth now, it would be impossible once I reached a certain age. Luckily my mom urged me to wait and get a second opinion! The dentist I went to for the second opinion, gave me the option of getting an onlay — a less invasive route which preserves more of the original tooth, than a crown. Also, the second opinion said it wasn’t even necessary to pull the wisdom teeth unless they were hurting or causing me problems.
The cleaning wasn’t that great either – again very rushed. Not my type of place. I recommend dr Keith Metzger in grapevine instead.
