Founded by AJ Albert as a new approach to teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Valhalla is a groundbreaking, student-focused teaching method that has helped students learn and retain BJJ techniques with a high level of effectiveness.
Meet the Business Owner
Aaron A.
Business Owner
A.J. has studied various martial arts. He began his training in Muay Thai, Jeet Kun Do, Filipino martial arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Ultimately, he fell in love with the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and dedicated his life to studying and teaching it. A.J. received his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Tim Cartmell in 2013. He began his teaching career by running the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program at the University of California, Irvine, where he organized the first collegiate Jiu-Jitsu tournament in the area. A.J. has over 10 years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has been teaching for over five years.
A.J. approaches teaching Jiu-Jitsu on an individualistic basis by working with the students in a way that fits them personally. He believes that Jiu-Jitsu can better anyone’s life who is willing to apply themselves to the art. A.J. opened Valhalla Jiu-Jitsu in order to fill a void he saw in the martial arts community; providing quality student-focused instruction at reason
