(Please arrive early for Weekend Tournaments). The MMTSC is a state-​of the art sports destination opening late 2014 in the city of Irvine, CA. Boasting an impressive $ 1,000,000 of low-​impact Haro wood floors, the MMTSC will feature 22 indoor volleyball courts, 21 indoor basketball courts, and 21 indoor futsal courts that will also be home to world class volleyball and basketball clubs and leagues for both children and adults.

History

Established in 2014.

In just under two years, the MMTSC has literally gone from being a business concept drawn out on the back of a napkin to being Orange County’s preeminent sports destination. When asked about his motivation for building the MMTSC, Managing Member Mike Rangel is quick to reply, «That’s easy. For the first time ever in Orange County, we are going to provide athletes the ability to practice on the same day (s) of the week, at the same time, on the same court, year-​round. It’s all about consistency.»

Aside from its sleek new courts and full-​service restaurant, the MMTSC’s biggest selling feature just might be its prime location in the booming heart of Irvine, California’s fastest growing city. Nestled off the 5 freeway and Jamboree, and just minutes from the 405, 55, 73, 133, 241 and 91 freeways, the centrally located MMTSC gives parents and athletes the opportunity to dodge traffic-​choked highways and reclaim more of their day.

Business Owner

Mike Rangel is an entrepreneur who has created from the ground up many successful business ventures across a variety of industries over the last 30 years, most notably the largest privately owned indoor sports complex in the country, and a nationally-​recognized plyometric training system used each month by tens of thousands of athletes in over 20 states across the U.S. Over the last 15 years, Mike has also had the privilege to train many professional athletes including 3-​Time Olympic Gold Medalist & Greatest Indoor/​Outdoor Volleyball Player of All-​Time Karch Kiraly, and the 3-​Time Olympic Gold Medalist in Beach Volleyball Kerri Walsh. Mike knows first-​hand what it takes to win a gold medal – proper technique, constant repetition, and the willingness to always outwork the competition. These principles will be the driving force behind MMTSC.
