Mild or Moderate swelling or lymphedema is consistent with many of the chronic pain population. The disruption of our lymphatic flow will decrease our ability to heal properly as the lymphatics are viewed as the «sewage system» of our bodies. Lymph drainage is subtle form of manual therapy where the lymph nodes are massaged to stimulate a smooth flow of our toxins back towards the heart to be reabsorbed. Often benefits patients with hypersensitivity, post-​surgery including mastectomy or breast augmentation, and people with notable swelling in the extremities.

Meet the Manager

Yvonne H.

Manager

She completed her undergraduate degree at California State University, Sacramento with Honors in Kinesiology. She then obtained her physical therapist assistant (PTA) degree.

She has worked mainly in outpatient clinic, where she received orthopedic and neurologic training and developed some of her manual therapy techniques. She also worked in skill nursing facility for a short period of time while she was working in an outpatient clinic to expand her experience in different environments and client groups. Due to her exposure of oncology field during her internships, she dedicated her time to specialize in lymphedema treatment. She completed an extensive online learning course and intensive hands-​on training course through the Norton School of Lymphedema, and becomes a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT).She is now also assisting the Norton School lymphedema courses by teaching and sharing her experience to future lymphedema therapists. She is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner.
