Relax The Back

I needed to move my Sogno massage chair into a different room and was told by Relax the Back that, for a fee, they would always do that. We purchased in LA, but they couldn’t help me. I called the Laguna store and they couldn’t help me. And then I called Chris at the Irvine store. Every business should have someone like Chris working for them. He went above and beyond to help resolve my issue. He is extremely personable! If I ever need something from Relax the Back again, this store would get my business. Thank you Chris!

I went in knowing I wanted a Tempurpedic mattress. From there Scotty was very knowledgeable and helped me find the right mattress for me. He ended up selling me on the premier adjustable base too, but that’s not his fault, I secretly wanted it and needed a reason to splurge for it. I also got 2 free pillows and a third Tempurpedic travel pillow also for free — score!!!

BUYER BEWARE! I needed to return a $ 100 leg cushion after just a few days which turned out to be too high. The manager informs me bedding is not returnable. No signs, no notifications or verbal explanation when I bought it. He told me the policy is on the receipt — yes, AFTER you purchase the item you can see the policy. They work on commission so it’s in their best interest NOT to inform you. Never, ever going back, horrible customer service, take your business elsewhere!

They had the Zero Gravity Love-​seat recliner in stock and I have to say it is the most comfortable recliner that my wife and I have ever sat in. Best purchase ever!
Gilbert was outstanding (extremely polite and friendly) and took the time to show us all the features and health benefits of the chair. Couldn’t have asked for better customer service than what Gilbert delivered! Also, their «white glove» delivery service ROCKS! Vince and Jesus were super friendly and cared for the love-​seat and my house like it was their own! Will definitely go there again! Thanks!

Found what I needed and was checked out of the store in less than 5 minutes. For my purposes the store was great.
I’d still like to mention that customer service did seem to lack as I didn’t receive any sort of greeting regardless of the fact I was the only person in there. But, doesn’t matter to me in this instance.

As far as I’m concerned, the zero gravity chairs deserve an award. I went in today and tested one, and it was the first time I’ve had relief from my chronic pain. I will be purchasing one soon for my home. It’s nice to know there is some relief out there… As far as I’m concerned, the money one spends for a chair is chump change to what you have probably spent on wasted medical care.
An analogy is: If you are in the market to buy a luxury car (like a Mercedes) and have to ask what type of gas it takes… Probably not the right buy. If you try this chair and are unsure, you probably don’t need it. Those of us that are in the market for quality pain relief… Don’t ask how much, ask how soon can it be delivered.

We special ordered an expensive humanscale office chair which unfortunately arrived with a small fabric issue. The owner handled the problem promptly and kindly, and even provided us with a temporary chair while the replacement was being ordered. We worked with Scott, the owner, from start to finish. Very helpful, very efficient, and pleasant to deal with. I have ordered several smaller items from this store over the years (since I suffer from neck and back issues) which have been helpful to me. This particular store is not close to me, however I feel it’s worth the drive.

I was appalled with customer service at the store. My inflatable back pillow was not inflating properly and it’s only 4 months old. I called the store about it and they said just bring it back and they will give me a new one since they are lifetime warranty. I was really impressed.
So the next day I brought it back and the salesperson there told me I had to mail it back to the manufacturer myself. I explained to him I called and he wasn’t happy and pretty much told me I am wrong but he would do it this time. Then he started looking at the pillow I brought in and told me I need to blow into the opening. I told him that’s not how it is supposed to work in the directions and he started blowing into the pillow and got it inflated. Then I was shocked that he tells me there’s nothing wrong with it and I should take it back. How rude and disgusting can he be! How can he expect me to take it after he blew into it!!! I refused and he huffed and puffed at me and pretty much told me rudely to take the new pillow and leave. What a jerk! I absolutely refuse to buy anything from this store again.

We’re looking for an ergonomic task chair for the home office. After going to the 3 local office supply stores (Officemax, Office Depot and Staples) we landed at Relax the Back to take a peek at the more pricey customized chairs.
Dude, these chairs are comfortable if you’re spending 8+ hours over a computer. $ 995-​$ 1200 to save your back and have a lifetime warranty on your purchase. My non-​lifetime warranty ergonomic task chair at the office is close to $ 500 so if you think about it, $ 1000 for a lifetime warranty isn’t bad if you spend most of your day on your butt.
I’d definitelybuy one if I had $ 1000 extra to drop, but I have to get a dental implant and I’m thinking a tooth has a better ROI. No?

Came in post surgery for lumbar support. SCOTT was no help. He directed us to an expensive system that was not appropriate. As soon as he heard we weren’t interested he bailed and left us sorting through the open samples. We kept asking questions and he barely offered to help. And NO ONE else was in the store. Then another guy came in and he did the same thing! He led him to the same expensive system and when he said he couldn’t do that — Scott ditched again. That guy was truly offended and left the store as he told us what a *&#$ Scott was. We had to buy something and drove here only because HB store was still not open. Worst customer service ever.

Went here because we wanted to buy a Tempurpedic but wanted to lay in one rather than blindly purchase from the website.
Right off the bat, Scott was extremely friendly and helpful while not pushy in the least. Easily spent ~45 minutes with us and we left to discuss options before dropping $ 3k-​$ 4k on a mattress.
We came back two days later and were helped by Andrew who was also extremely helpful. In the end we bought a Cloud Supreme, they gave us all the promotions offered by Tempurpedic plus their own promotions. Ended up with a much better deal than had we gone through the website plus we had great customer support.
I will update after the mattress is delivered, but we were happy with our experience.

This store is huge and they anything and everything that you would need for back pain. The prices are not cheap by any means but you do get what you pay for. Their products are high quality and they offer many varieties of same product. Need a desk chair? They have tons. Need back support for your car? Well, pull your car up because they’ll let you try them all out in your car, before you buy.
The sales guys here are great and they do NOT pressure you at all. I love that. But they are definitely helpful if you need anything or have questions about their products. On my last visit, I was helped by Andrew. I was looking for a lumbar back cushion for my Jeep. Because they had tons, he let me pull my car up and just sit in my car with the different ones to see which one I liked better. That’s damn good customer service and helpful too. How else are you supposed to know what will work for you if you don’t get a chance to try it out? Thanks Andrew!

What a useless store this is. First I will always give store a poor rating when customer service is sub par.
I walk into this store looking for something to sooth a pinched nerve in my neck & maybe pick up one of those neck/​back massagers. I clearly get there a good 10 minutes before 2 other (older white men) stroll in & who get’s helped first?
I hate to bring race into this but your a retail store, help who came in FIRST not who APPEARS to have money or who APPEARS will boost your commissions. Stop being greedy!
I would have gladly dropped a good $ 100-​$ 200 dollars today because I’d really like to control this pinched nerve but because I was treated like I was invisible I will NEVER step foot into this place again!
Word of advise to this store & any like it, not all old white men have money & not all people with brown skin are poor looky loo’s.

My chiropractor recommended I get a pad for my office chair to help position my hips better when I am sitting and writing Unilocal reviews. She said I could find the pads at Relax the Back. I took a look.
The store is in the Irvine Marketplace, so there is plenty of parking. It is next to Barnes & Noble.
The store is all about back products. I found the pad I wanted and bought a spine stretcher.
The prices here are not cheap. This is no discount store. However, the products appear to be high quality and well made.
The sales staff was helpful but not intrusive. They made recommendations when I requested them but did not try to oversell me.
Hopefully, this stuff will help because my back really gets sore after a long Unilocal session.

Make it diffcult to return items you never received. Unprofessional and disrepectful when you cancel an order.
Do not shop here. Beware. Do not sign anything. With continous efforts worked out with the stakeholder and they were understanding of situation and resolved with a win win end.
