Do not ignored the low ratings! If you don’t mind to be ripped off then by all mean give these guys a call
The only reason I called this company is I had my motor and spring replaced by them a few years back (the first technician showed up drunk and was not interested in repairing anything but that was last visit). If my spring is broken then it’s still under the warranty offered by them. So I took a chance and called for service and told them I had a coupon good for $ 50 tune up after the lady on the phone offered me a $ 70 special.
The technician showed up on time and was likable. When I showed him the coupon he told me they would honor it but informed me that the company forgot to tell me that there’s a $ 20 «gas surcharge». I almost told him to leave but decided this is the last time I use their service so $ 20 more is not a big deal. Turned out he only needed to lubricate and tighten up some screws in less than 15 minutes. Don’t get me wrong: these guys can get the jobs done but if you don’t shop around then prepare to spend a lot more than you should. No wonder when I called one of the other companies in the area they told me Precision are a bunch of crooks (their exact words)

I had them come out today only to be quoted $ 229 for replacing the control unit on our garage door opener that is less than 1 year old. That came with one remote and it would cost another $ 49.00 for another remote. My husband talked to him and the man came down and said he would do the work for $ 240.00
I asked him how he could be playing around with the cost when other people wanted to charge less? Needless to say, we sent him home. He can screw other seniors, not us!
I need to revise my review as we received a call from Precision Door Service, the manager-​Paul and he returned our money for the service call and apologized for the bad service. To me that speaks highly of the business and how they stand behind their service.

I’ve been a customer of this company for over 11 years and aways had great service & great pricing until this last time. I called Precision when my garage door opener wasn’t working properly. I was told the logic board was fried, & I needed a new opener because mine was obsolete and the part was no longer available. Pressed for time, I agreed even though I thought the price was high. I paid $ 850 for Liftmaster 3240 + $ 180 for 990LM surge protector + $ 150 labor. The next day I researched these parts: Liftmaster 3240 available for $ 300 — $ 400, surge protector available for $ 11 — $ 20, & if that weren’t enough, the logic board for old opener was also available for $ 68. I left several messages for Paul, the manager, no callbacks. I’m usually on top of these things with other appliance repair services, but I let my guard down because of the trust developed from past experiences.
Update 5÷23÷16: I received a call back from Paul and was refunded the amount that I felt was excessive. Outside of the pricing, I’ve always felt their technicians do quality work and they are usually available when needed, so I’ve upgraded from 1 to 3 stars since in the end, it was settled to my satisfaction. I will likely use them in the future, but will just take the time to do some research.

Needed fast service with door stuck open. Tech Chris arrived in less than 1 hour. Quickly identified several problems, applied fixes that are sure to extend life of hardware. Replaced remote and easily programed my car to operate the door from mirror multi-​signal feature. The door works great. Chris did an awesome job!

Would highly recommend this garage door repair company. They came out as promised and pricing was fair. I felt the technician (Joseph) was very honest, personable, quick, and did great work. I always have a hard time when repair (men) come to my house when my husband isn’t home but felt completely at ease. A few weeks later when our garage door wasn’t working (which we figured out was our fault and fixed it easily) Joseph was doing everything he could to get out to our house the same day. Very dedicated. Highly recommend.

Our garage door unexpectedly came off the tracks this afternoon and I called Precision Garage Door services to fix it. The operator on the phone was extremely helpful and was able to send a technician out within 90 minutes. Chris was the technician who they sent out and he was excellent — he called when he was on his way, showed up on time, and was extremely friendly and knowledgable. I’d highly recommend him and Precision to anyone looking for help with their garage door.

It is interesting to see the negative comments on Precision Door and the contrast to my experience. We just moved into a home that had two doors that would rattle the bedroom above the double garage door and a single garage door that would rattle the second bedroom. I had many estimates and David A came out to not only give me an estimate but prepared to do the work on the spot. We purchased two 1hp garage door openers and both doors overhauled for a safety/​security as this was the original equipment. The opener was so quiet that a neighbor came over and is having David from Precision Garage Doors install one accords the street. Now that is a true testimonial for the quality of equipment installed. For the work that was done as he replaced practically everything but the doors I was totally satisfied. Also when I periodically checked in on David he would provide me updates on the progress. He also replaced items as he found default with that affected the operation of the doors. For those who posted a bad experience get all the details before you act and understand the scope of work. I review contracts and insure compliance in my job so it was easy for me to see and understand the details. You are better off with a national franchised company because you can have any warranty supported by the headquarters too. Well too much said already, hats off to an outstanding tech and hard worker in David A of Precision Door!

We previously had our garage door fixed by a different service two years ago, and recently some of the metal holding up our 600 lb wooden door started to warp. We were also curious why the door sounded like a freight train barreling past us every time it opened or closed. This time around, we called Precision Door Service and were fortunate to meet with Tony Gallegos, whose supreme skill level and deep knowledge-​base was only surpassed by his honesty and kindly demeanor. He pointed out the many poor decisions made by the previous company, and did a perfect job installing a brand new system. The 600 lb door opens and closes so quietly now, you wouldn’t even know it’s moving. I can’t speak for the other Precision Door representatives, but definitely request Tony G and rest easy that your door is in good hands.

This company has extremely poor customer service and are scammers. Our garage motor unit is only 3 years old. The technician claimed we need an entire new system and we were fooled to have them install their after market product. I have been calling Paul, their manager, for the last three days and he will not return my call. There is a complete lack of customer service.
Do not trust this company. AVOID.

I called this company to replace my wireless keypad and control panel in my garage becuase I didnt want to wait on ordering the part from the manufacturer and doing it myself since I am very busy. However, upon arrival they told me that they would charge me $ 436 to replace and program the components, the same parts I already know cost $ 79.89 total from the manufacturer. The programming would have been a no-​brainer and very easy since I already read how to do it from the manufacturer online and they tried to pitch it to me like they were doing me a big favor on the great price. I called BS right away. So i had to pay them $ 40 to come out and it was a huge waste of money since they tried to take advantage of me big time. I would not recommed this company to anyone.

My garage door crashed twice. Each fix lasted less than a week. When it crashed five days after the second fix, I decided to contact a nationwide, reputable company and came across Precision’s website. The technician was very professional and walked me through the repairs needed. I was confident that my door would finally be repaired properly. So far so good. It’s been a week and my door is still quiet and working like new. I wish I had known about Precision sooner. I could’ve saved myself the cost, the time and the headache!

First I bought the tune up service from Groupon.
There are two guys come out and told me that I need to change this and that…
I didn’t listen to them.
This Saturday, Jeff showed up in 2 hours after I found my garage door remote receiver stopped working.
Jeff is a very nice guy, professional, honest, knowledgeable and customer-​oriented.
He told me that my spring is still good, my balance is good.
He only help me to upgrade the new roller and install new receiver.

We called Precision because they had an ad with a coupon in ValPac and we needed a new remote for the garage door. When the technician came out he offered a free 25 point inspection. The garage door had been working just fine for 15 years but according to him the builder had put a door opener on that was too small, so we needed to put on new springs immediately. The cost of these springs was over $ 400. The «tune up» consisted of spraying a can of lubricant around that took about 60 seconds. There was a coupon in the Val Pac but he ignored that and charged $ 50 anyway, and another $ 20 for «surcharge». I called the phone number listed on the invoice to talk to the general manager Paul. Paul was quite helpful and refunded the $ 50. I believe this was an isolated incident with a dishonest employee and not with the company overall.

The customer service operator was great. Other then that the service man that came to our home was a crook. He jacked up the price, then could not substantiate the cost of materials and then offered a discount if I pay him personally instead of writing a check to the company. Horrible. Will NEVER use them again.

Absolute worst customer service ever experienced. I placed a call on «Wednesday May 20th» at 3pm, I was advised that a technician would be out between 4pm-​6pm to fix my garage door. No one showed up, I even gave them a 1 hour grace period due to knowing what OC traffic is typically like, at 7pm when no-​one showed I called back customer service, they told me that they would call the technician right away and have him call me directly to advise on a more accurate window of time… Today is now 26th of May and I never heard back from ANYONE at Precision Doors, not a phone call, not a knock at my door! I ended up using a local service here in San Clemente whom were amazing and I will be recommending them going forward.
