I have been coming to this place for 4 years. I came here because I had a neck and shoulder pain due to long hours working on the computer. Joe was recommended by my friend. She is experienced and skillful. She wanted to treat your problem. After six months of treatment that I have been faithfully coming about twice a month. My shoulder and neck pain disappeared. Now I am still going to do the maintenance as I don’t feel the stress and tightness on my shoulder and neck anymore. I still work on the computer for over eight hours a day. Joe would give me a neck and shoulder massage for almost 20 to 30 minutes depending on the stiffness of my neck each time. The whole treatment was so comfortable with the hot stone massage, warm compass, and essential oil on my body. It is just so relaxing and I could sleep better at night after that. I would recommend Joe 100%.

I have been coming here since 2009 & Joan is by FAR the best acupressure/​deep tissue massage therapist, EVER! Whenever I get a massage by her, I sleep like a baby. She is very attentive to which parts of your body are sore, and magically smoothes those stress knots away. Make an appointment with her after a long flight, a particularly stressful week, or when you need some pampering. Thanks «Mama» Joan!

I found this place by accident, when going to an appointment with another acupuncturist who had relocated without my knowing. I was in severe pain with muscle spasms to my lower back, and the thought of driving even further to get to my appointment was too much. I went in and spoke with Joan, who told me that the other people had moved five years previous. She was hesitant to make an appointment for me as she did not want to steal a client from another professional, but when I explained that I had never been treated by them and was going based on a referral, she agreed to make an appointment for me.
Yi Ping is the doctor that I was going to see, and since she wasn’t avaialble for a while, Joan escorted me to a comfortable, reclining spa chair. She put a heat pack at my lower back, covered me with a nice blanket, and told me to relax until the doctor was ready. The atomospher is absolutely wonderful, with soft music, dim lighting, and wonderful smells, so it was easy to just take some time to rest.
I have had acupuncture several times throughout the last 30 years, but with moving, have always had a different doctor. Yi Ping is the best that I have had. She uses «old school» techniques, and is very good at finding where the pain is, and then placing the needles accordingly. She is quick, gentle and definitely experienced. She has more than 40 years of practice, and while her English is not good, Joan is there to help with any language barriers.
My treatment lasted about an hour, and I was a new person when I left. While I was sore, which is normal, I no longer had pain or spasms. It has been two days since I left, and my back is «back to normal». I am scheduled for a follow-​up visit, and am really looking forward to it.

I’m changing the rating of my experience base on the change of their attitude towards customer service. After reading my review a few weeks later, the owner somehow was able to figure out who I was, called me and apologized for their behavoir. She wanted to compensate our unpleasant experience, but we are insisting it’s unnecessary; As we do not want to be bribed to alter our previous judgement and take the post down. Now that she finds out consumers can publicize their consumer experiences on a public forum, I hope she would treat all her customers with respect. There’s never a second chance to make a 1^st impression, but I do appreciate she values my opinion and want to see me as a return customer.

I love Mamma Joan (the owner). Seriously, she has become like family to me.
Despite that, I’m almost hesitant to post this review… because if people find out how amazing her massages are, she’ll be booked a year in advance.
I was recommended to Joan by a coworker she helped with a neck problem. I was suffering from two bulged discs myself and my doctor wanted to fuse three vertebrae immediately. I decided to try Joan instead and it has worked!
My girlfriend came to her with chronic shoulder pain and was cured in two acupuncture and one acupressure sessions.
Joan is much more than a masseuse — she is a healer in the truest sense.
The spa itself is immaculate and well decorated, like a european spa… which is not typical of Chinese reflexology/​massage places.
The rates are ridiculously affordable for what you get.
If you are injured, sick, stressed, or have insomnia… ask Joan what to do and then do what she tells you… it works!

I may be biased. My mom has been going to Joan for acupressure massage for over 10 years… from the time Joan was at Total Woman to working from her home to now owning her own business. Now that’s commitment. Naturally, they developed a friendship and I started visiting Joan too upon my mom’s recommendation.
I’ve probably seen Joan for 5 – 6 times over the past few years. Few highlights from my experiences at Natural Therapy Spa:
— the place itself is nicely decorated. Dim lights, candles, soft music all around. It’s definitely a soothing and relaxing environment
— I like all the amenities that come free for members. Infrared sauna that doesn’t make you dizzy and out of breath like other ones do. I love sitting in it for 45 minutes, soaking my feet in a hot tub of water, drinking lemon water, reading magazines while working up a sweat. It feels amazing… there are also flex-​back chairs that I love to sit back in and clean showers that are filled with all the toiletries you need!
— now the acupressure… it’s not the typical massage you’d expect. Joan definitely cracks a few bones each time. But the lavendar oil… hot stones… ahhh…what a blissful 60 minutes!
Overall, a great experience each time and the best bang for your buck… out of all massage places I’ve ever been to!

I have had a shoulder pain due to long time working at the computer. My friend referred me to this spa and the owner was exceptionally professional to give me a massage that I have never experienced before. I have gone to many different places for a massage but with no result in healing my pain.
i feel that I got healed from the massage. My shoulder has improved after a few times visits. The owner appears to care for her cleint and truly wanted me to improve by teaching me exercise so I can work on it at home. I have always wanted to go back to relieve my tension on my shoulder and I feel totally relaxed after the session. I strongly recommend this place.

Wonderful massage. Reflexology for foot was fantastic. I could have had
Joan, the masseuse, massage them for many more hours. She can sense
what’s missing or needed for your health. She has a neat, clean spa location with ample parking. It helps to book ahead. I go there with my husband and we enjoy the relaxing atmosphere with herbal tea.

The spa’s atmosphere is elegant, soothing, and comfortable; I felt right at home with kind attention from the staff and total privacy from the beginning. The fresh lemon juice and water, and the sliced Fuji apple were refreshing welcome treats. I’d never experienced an infrared heat sauna before, and it felt terrific. Ordinarily I don’t care for saunas, but this heat felt good, like a heat pack, and beyond relaxing. All the the same room, from there I used the private shower and then moved to the massage table where the treatment was the best I ever experienced in many years of having massages. This was true therapy! The therapist knows her stuff! When she noticed my left shoulder had limited range of motion, she worked to improve the circulation and flexibility not only with specific techniques but with this great device that made the first difference in that bad shoulder in the several years it has been hurting. Now, 3 days later, the arm feels great and I can hardly wait to back for another massage. It was the perfect experience for a Friday night after a tough work week.

Make an appointment, even though they have walk-​in prices and say walk-​ins welcome.
This place is only 3 months old and I’m hoping they’re still just working out the kinks. I arrived at 6:30pm without an appointment looking to get reflexology done and when I walked through the door I got stared at and asked «Yes??» by the owner and another guy. I think they were surprised to see me. I explained my desire and she told me to have a seat. The two of them continued talking in Chinese for at least 10 minutes while I just sat there, until the other guy left. Finally I was led to a reflexology chair and had my treatment, which I can’t really comment on since it was my first time, but wasn’t that great in my opinion. Throughout the treatment, the owner must’ve answered the phone at least twice, and after the treatment while I was just lying there she must have been on the phone for at least 10 minutes in a separate room. It was really annoying.
I only paid $ 20 for a 1 hour reflexology treatment, which is with a 50% off coupon, and honestly I wouldn’t have paid more nor will I probably be back. The décor is nice and clean and inviting, but I don’t know if it was the time I went or what, but the place is lacking professionalism, service and hospitality. Overall, not a good first time experience.
