I help families, businesses and neighborhood associations create beautiful, water-wise garden designs. I can show you what your design will look like before you start and provide specific plans to create the yard or garden you’ll love. You can save thousands by doing your own planting. All you need is a good plan.
History
Established in 2015.
After years of doing commercial landscape architecture, people started asking me about what they could do with their front and back yards. With the drought in full swing in California, many of my neighbors are tearing out their water hogging lawns and replacing them with water-wise alternatives. The problem is, many don’t want their yards to look like a cactus patch and gravel. That’s where I came in to help. There are many styles of water-wise designs to choose from. Many are as lush and colorful as you’d ever want. The trick is to know which plants will thrive in a low water environment and beautifully compliment each other and your home or building.

Melanie F.
Business Owner
Melanie earned her B.S. degree at U.C. Davis in commercial landscape architecture. After working several years designing playgrounds, parks, and municipal common areas, she has changed her focus to help people tackle the question: How do I comply with all the new water saving regulations and still have a beautiful yard? People tend to think «water-wise» means cactus and dirt. Melanie has made it her mission to help people build water saving landscapes and maintain the level of beauty they deserve with a wide variety of water-wise plants. Whether you want to hire a contractor or do the planting yourself, it all starts with a good plan.
