Jing F Li MD

WOW, finally an MD who gets it. Dr. Li treats the patient holistically using both western and eastern medicine… Really caring and humble lady… Highly recommend her. Oh, and she has a great staff too. Donna is a Great Nutritionist :)

If you are searching for a knowledgeable acupuncturist at a very reasonable price, search no further. Dr. Chen is great. He knows he stuff, having practiced medicine in China before moving to the states. The staff is accommodating and pleasant. I have never waited more than a few minutes to be seen.

I have been going to Dr Jing Li for Approx 1 year and I have nothing but positive things to say. She is one of a kind and very well rounded. You will not find another dr like her. She is very knowledgable about nutrition, Accupunture, western medicine, and eastern medicine. She is very detailed when it comes to lab-​work.
In regards to the negative reviews, there is no perfect medical practice. Like another reviewer posted, we are human and unexpected things occur and we sometimes have to wait. The benefits of seeing Dr Jing Li out weigh any minor things that would occur at any office.

Dr. Chen is remarkable, whether it is allergies, flu or simple headache he makes me feel better !

Nice doctor. Dr. Li is very knowledgable and experienced when it came to explaining my lab results and blood work. I felt comfortable with her at the wheel of medical diagnosis.
My gripe: I booked a 1pm appointment. It is now 1:59 and no doctor. Last visit doctor shows up 50 minutes after appointment time and I am late back to work.
Nice, clean lobby and I like that it’s just one street down from my office.

After going a few months without acupuncture went back to see Dr Chen & Dr Li yesterday… I feel wonderful, God bless them!

I would not recommend this doctor if you are in for any exams other than the acupuncture. I have never tried their acupuncture but for sure the physical exam is definitely not helpful.
The service was bad too, I have an appointment at 3, they made me wait in the lobby for an hour (what is the propose for an appointment if I have to wait for so long) and then finally the lady tested my blood pressure and asked some of the medical basic questions, and ask me to wait at the lobby again, I have waited for another half an hour, finally, she ask me to go in to a room and wait for dr jing, I have waited for another 10 – 15 minutes, dr jing finally came in, introduce herself Nd walked out, I waited for another 15 min, finally she sat down in front of her laptop and start typing. All she did Is ask me the basic questions and that’s is it for the appt. ended in 20 min.
I have wasted my time for almost 2 hours just for nothing. Seriously!!! Find another DR if you can. Avoid physical exams here.

I would easily give Dr. Li and Dr. Chen a ten star review. Their integrity is stellar as is their knowledge and treatment protocols. They have helped me get through major medical events as well as everyday types of issues. They are kind, compassionate and they care. I have seen them for approximately 20 years and recommend them highly. Actually, you’re blessed if you get to see them.
(my thoughts on some other reviews, I just want to say that I’ve never found a perfect service provider of any industry. Ever. And in the mix of imperfect, «human» doctors, I’ve had a few of them save my life, literally. So, keep that in mind if you’re so disappointed by some of the issues that are mentioned. I’ve matured to realize that sometimes we have to wait, or a staff member might not have a dashing personality, or a Doctor might have a bad day, etc. People ! Don’t sweat the small stuff !)

At age 52 I should not do kickboxing! LOL! After last session, I hurt my back so bad that could not get out of the bed or turn around in bed (Fine when I am standing). So I went for 1 session of back pain treatment at this office and over 90% of my pain is gone. Very clean office, lots of parking, friendly receptionist and the treatment worked so well! Was very pleased… But no more kickboxing at this age! :-)

I switched insurance providers so that I could see Dr. Li based on a friend’s longterm experience. Dr. Li sells a line of antioxidant supplements and my friend took me to a «presentation» about the products and I was quite impressed. Almost two years later, i am still using those products and love them. However, I am lukewarm so far on Dr. Li herself. My first visit was very positive, but then Dr. Li’s office made the transition to electronic medical records. Dr. Li has not mastered this and lacks important communication skills with her patients – instead she types the entire time and makes very little eye contact. I can’t imagine what she is typing as it’s far more than what I’m actually saying in response to her questions. As a previous reviewer wrote, she leaves the room a lot and there are typically very long waits to see the doctor. Yvette, who is her assistant as well as front office staff, is not particularly warm. So far, I can’t say I’m thrilled with my experiences being seen in Dr. Li’s office. One of the things that concerns me most is that once, when she left the room, I took a look at the computer which she left open to see what in the world all this writing was about. She had indicated in my record that I was experiencing symptoms that I had never mentioned, and noted that those symptoms were relieved by the antioxidant supplement that I am on through her. Huh???

I would never recommend Dr Li. If I could, I would have given 0 star!
First, she made me wait at the lobby for about an hour. Next when I went to the exam room, she did not do any kind of examination. And every 5 minutes, she left the room to come back 10 minutes later. She did it at least 3 times.
It was my first visit to this office and she had no clue about my medical history. She didn’t even bother to find out.
She just asked me about the current medication I am taking and prescribed the exact same thing without any kind of examination herself.
Plus, she didn’t give me any prescription in paper, because she wanted me to go to certain pharmacy of her choice (not the one that I usually go) I told her that I prefer to go to my pharmacy of choice, but she totally ignored my request. I am sure she gets some commission from that local Pharmacy.
Plus, her assistant was too lazy to call my insurance to find out the copay, so she made me pay $ 125, and told me she would give me credit!!! Of course, I would never ever go back to this snobbish doctor and her lousy office staff!
She might be only good for Acupuncture, but she has no real medical skill.
Don’t waste your time!

I also agree with Tawny’s review. I have had many wonderful experiences with Dr. Li and find her «bedside manner» to be beyond reproach. Her ability to zero in on the cause of your medical issues, rather than just treat the symptoms, is her specialty. She has definitely changed the quality of my life for the better.
I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for solutions to their health issues. I have witnessed in the many times I have visited her office to be nothing but kind and considerate to her staff and anyone she comes in contact with. She is a very caring and compassionate person which comes across in all of her dealings.

I really hope this review doesn’t get filtered. For those who may be weighing the negative review in their decision to see Dr. Li, I recommend you hit the filtered reviews button at the bottom of the page to see some other great comments that for some reason are being filtered out.
The negative review really shocks me. I’ve been a patient for many years — I think it’s going on 15. I’m one of those with (unfortunately) multiple medical challenges always going on. Dr. Li is fabulous at honing in on and tackling each one with multiple modalities until they are a non-​issue. She’s helped me overcome some serious medical issues that don’t even show up on blood tests any more and haven’t for years. I moved out of state for a while and during that time, she even offered to consult with me over the phone. My experience has been that she cares deeply for her patients, spends significantly more time understanding the whole person and making the best medical choices for the individual than any doctor I’ve ever seen.
There are serious constraints being put on doctors today by the insurance system. When most doctors are dismissing you after 15 minutes, Dr. Li and Dr. Chen give generously of their time and do whatever they can to provide the best medical care possible. They are a true east meets west practice — Dr. Li is an M.D., O.M.D. and L.A.c. Who has those credentials?! When I moved out of state, I tried to find someone comparable and I never could. Honestly, it’s the best combination I’ve ever come across. When western medicine doesn’t have an answer for what ails you, eastern likely does. Dr. Li expertly knows which applies best to your treatment. I love knowing I’m going to get the best of both worlds.
Like other reviewers, I’ve recommended Dr. Li to many friends and have always heard positive reviews and big thank you’s for the introduction. I recently moved back to CA and she was one of my first calls.
I also wanted to give a shout out to the nutritionist, Donna. I haven’t worked much with her yet because financially my budget is tight right now and typically nutritionist are not covered under insurance. That said, her costs seem very reasonable. Dr. Li generously gave me some time with Donna and I really like her. She’s got some very impressive credentials and seriously looks years younger than her biological age so I know she’s doing something right! I can’t wait to start working with her on a regular basis.
I think it’s obvious, I love this team!

I was a patient of the doctor, starting nine years ago, and she was GREAT. Yes, she’s not touchy-​feely, but the three years I spent with her — I never felt so good before or after. She was great with some of my coworkers who also saw her and referred her to me. In fact, I now live 800 miles away and I’m thinking of traveling that far to see her again. The doctor knows her stuff. So, unless she has changed greatly in the past six years, I don’t know how anyone could post anything negative about her. I never, ever got the impression that she was trying to bilk out of money.

Let me start with the positive. This office has a FANTASTIC staff. It is so under staffed so it amazes me how hard the staff works. The negative must start with the doctor. The greed of the doctor permeates through her when you talk to her. It is very obvious her motive is $. PATHETIC! She is rude and cocky with her staff. Asking one person to do five things at a time is unfair. The wait time is 45 min on average.
Even when I go for just acupuncture, the dr will also bill my insurance for an evaluation even when it is just a quick question. GREED! It’s doctors like this that drives the insurance up! As for acupuncture, go somewhere else. You will save lot of money and time.

Dr. Li is the most amazing doctor. She’s helped me so much, I always feel whole after my visits. She’s a miracle worker!
